Perfect weekend away
Beautiful cottage located in a quaint little village. Had everything you will need for a perfect weekend away with a great little local a few minutes walk up a gentle incline. Would recommend to family and friends for sure .
Lovely cottage, well placed. One comment is that the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are very steep and narrow.

A lovely stay in the Costwolds
We stayed at the house for 3 nights and had a great time. Everything was just as expected: well-maintained and with all the amenities described in the listing. The location is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. Thanks for everything!

We visited Brook Cottage for a few nights and felt it was a good base for us and met all of our expectations. The photos and descriptions on the website were accurate and everything worked, was clean and pretty well equipped.

Nice cottage
The cottage had everything you needed the welcome was very good. The downstairs toilet seat was broken and some of the mugs and glasses had to be washed before we could use them.
We enjoyed our stay.

A girls weekend away
We stayed for 2 nights at the cottage and loved how cosy and calming the cottage was. We loved that there was milk, orange juice and eggs in the fridge. That was a lovely touch.
The cottage was absolutely perfect and we loved our stay. The beds and sofa were comfortable and it was a perfect base for us to explore the cotswolds.
Would highly recommend.

Lovely comfortable cottage on the edge of the Cotswolds
Nice and spacious, with a great kitchen and welcome goodies. Lovely garden and enough parkingspace. Village is lovely too, with a butcher and a bakery. Bed is comfortabel, shower too and the woodburner works great. Cottage is authentic and sweet. We enjoyed our stay greatly.

Beautiful cottage
We had a lovely stay at Brook Cottage. It has a large kitchen with all the amenities you need, a lovely lounge area and great bedrooms with a comfortable bed. The shower had plenty of pressure and was great temperature. We enjoyed having dinners outside in the beautiful cottage garden. It’s close to many picturesque Cotswolds villages.

Lovely weekend stay
A lovely little cottage ideal for our family size with our dog.
Beautifully decorated and presented inside and out.
I wasn’t aware before it’s on a busy road (maybe my oversight tho) but with a lovely pub who serve fab food it’s in the perfect location.
We had a very wet weekend but having a walk in kitchen to take boots etc off and dry the dog was great.
We didn’t use the front door as even with the key left in we couldn’t unlock it, not sure why but may need checking out!
The only thing I need to say is the stairs are very steep (but lovely) and the bend was tight to get cases up. For me, going down was worse then going up and the hand rails where needed both ways.
I would recommend to friends and family. Thank you

A short, but very sweet stay.
Brook Cottage was a lovely 3 night stay whilst we visited the Cotswold Distillery and several other places of interest. It was ideal as a base for this very reason and we really enjoyed our time there. The only downside was noise from the busy road outside but we got used to it after the first night. Also, the staircase could be difficult for some people and also for small children, as it was very steep. Apart from those two niggles, everything else was spot-on and we very much appreciated our stay there.

Cosy Cottage
We had a lovely time , the cottage is in a great spot and some lovely walks from the door . The house is very clean and cared for and we had everything we could require . The beds are super comfy and although stairs steep the thought of double sided hand rails would support anyone whom would find it tricky . The house has been beautifully renovated with care and love and this can be felt . We will return .

Great cottage in a fantastic location
Me and my partner went for a 5 day break, and we're over the moon with the cottage, location, condition and comfort of the Home. The location is perfect, 20 minutes away from most things, but the bakery in the village is amazing!
The Owners left us eggs, orange juice, bread and milk, which was a lovely touch, thank you!
We'd love to stay at the property again and felt we were away from home when we left. We loved our break, and that's a complete credit to the property and the owners. We would definitely, 100%, stay again!

Lovely stay
Beautiful cottage, amazing beds. Couple of niggles but nothing that impacted our stay… great welcome pack, perfect for breakfast. Beds were amazingly, secondary glazing meant we had no issues with road noise. The stairs are really narrow - not suitable for those with limited mobility.
Stay Cotswolds were great to deal with. Customer service & communication was excellent

Lovely small cottage in a beautiful location
Brook Cottage and Lower Brailles was an excellent choice for a relaxing holiday. As a keen cook, I was delighted with how well the kitchen was equipped (esp. decent knifes #and# a sharpener!). The beds were extremely comfortable and the garden + outdoor furniture were used a lot.
As per the information on the StayCotswold website, the stairs are certainly steep, but perfectly usable, with the various handles.
The George pub at Lower Brailles is an absolute gem (restricted opening on Sunday and closed all day Monday).
I would cross continents for the pork pies from Paddock Farm butchers, just a few hundred yards up the road

Perfect base to explore the Cotswolds
We came here on our honeymoon with our 12 year old son to spend a hopefully lovely and relaxing break in the beautiful Cotswolds. We arrived to our cottage to find it in excellent condition, with welcome gifts of milk, orange juice and eggs greatly appreciated. The cottage itself was perfectly clean, extremely well equipped and was just what we had hoped for. The location was perfect, quiet small village with good local amenities and within easy driving distance of major Cotswolds attractions. All in all, a brilliant break, would highly recommend and will certainly look to book with StayCotswold again.

Very cosy cottage
A very cosy cottage, with a well presented garden (garden furniture would have been nice as we hit 20 degrees in March and it would have been good not to have to take out kitchen chairs to sit on).
The kitchen was well equipped and really lovely (inside the oven could do with a bit of a clean, but didn’t deter from its use). My only criticism would be that it’s in a bit of a need of a refresh. The paintwork, walls are looking a little tired. But again doesn’t detract from it being a cosy house. The beds are super comfy the log burner was excellent. The cosy dining area was perfect for breakfast. Lovely to have lots of Ordnance Survey maps and local walking books. Books to read, games and jigsaws.
The George is a short walk up a gentle hill and was very good. The food was delicious.
The butcher in Upper Brailes is amazing.
The walk from the Church on the paths across the fields to the windmill was lovely (the local farmer, guided us)
Theo the log delivery man was so lovely. We met him as we arrived.
Although it is on the main road it doesn’t affect the relaxed, calming feel of the house.
Highly recommended.

Lovely stay
We had a lovely 3 night stay at Brook Cottage on our way home from Cornwall. Beautiful little cottage, with a nice little sun trap garden at the side. We even spotted the goldfish in the well/pond at the back door. Good quality bedding (master bedroom bed was quite hard though) and lovely good quality towels. Welcome goodies very much appreciated. Not far to some lovely cotswold villages. Lower Brailles is a small quiet village , we had a drink at the local pub The George Inn , which has a nice beer garden. Would definitely recommend.

An ideal Cotswold Cottage
This cottage is lovely, a very Cotswold cottage.
The cottage was about 20-25 minutes drive from Moreton In Marsh station.
It Is the perfect size and has an awesome kitchen with many “tools”.
The linens provided were upscale hotel quality with thick cozy duvets. These were needed for the chill nights. This doesn’t mean there was no heating. Though it took a phone call to the property manager to fix it. He responded quickly and positively. He also gave us the wood supply that wasn’t in the cottage so that was easily fixed as well.
The cottage even had a decorated Christmas tree!
If you don’t feel like cooking The George Pub, 3 minutes walk, had excellent food. Very hearty portions and well priced.
The cottage garden was equally nice with a fruiting apple tree and was just the right size for our small dog.
We may well book a return visit during warmer weather.

Relaxing week
An excellent cottage in a great central location to visit the Cotswolds. The village was very pleasant, with friendly residents, a few of which I chatted to. Great to have the bakery, butchers shop and newsagent altogether about a 2 minute walk away - fantastic pastries. There was no welcome basket as mentioned in other reviews, but not an issue. Our only issue was the road noise, being on the main road through the village; this was not terrible by any means, but noticeable. I will add that we live in a very quiet hamlet in Cornwall with no road noise, so our view might be a bit skewed by that. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and feel relaxed, as the cottage has a very homely feel, with everything you could think of provided to make the stay wonderful - including fans as it was very hot when we stayed.

A Wondful Stay
Had the best stay at Brook Cottage; I didn't want to leave! The cottage is perfect and renovated to a very high standard and my son and I settled in right away as it really felt like home with such a cosy and inviting living room, and dining area. The kitchen was absolutely fabulous and was equipped with everything you could possible want. It was such a lovely touch that bread, milk, juice and eggs were left for us to enjoy. The bedrooms were very comfortable and I had the best sleep of my life while staying there, with such a good mattress and wonderful crisp bed linens and pillows. The stairs up are a bit steep but this is expected in a cottage and adds to the wonderful charm. My son is 6ft 2in and the lower ceiling in some places were not a problem for him.
Brook Cottage provided a wonderful respite for my son and I while preparing him for his stay in Oxford.
I highly recommend this glorious cottage!

Cottage in Brailes
We stayed for a week in this well positioned Cottage in Brailes, with a wonderful pub just up the hill and butchers, bakers and newsagents the other way.
The kitchen was well appointed as was the living space, the bedroom was lovely and gas secondary glazing which means you get a really restful sleep. The bathroom shower was good and the additional toilet down stairs is a real bonus.
It was clean and very tidy up to eye level but this is a rental and is no doubt left empty dome weeks so the spiders can have a field day. Day two we hoovered them all away but I really feel the cleaner should take care of the above eye height level.
It didn't spoil our break and we didn't mention it but I wanted to give a fair review.

Lovely cottage
Really enjoyed our stay at Brook Cottage.
Very clean and cosy, nice treat the have bread, eggs, butter, milk and orange juice on arrival.
Beds are extremely comfortable, now wanting a new mattress at home !!
Little village is great, must visit the butchers and bakers and the George Inn garden is great with a dog.
As mentioned in booking, stairs are very very steep, hand rail position is really good.
Only things to point for us is only 2 outside chairs (2 were in carport but were broken) so not great for 4 adults to sit outside and enjoy the garden and sunshine. Only 1 wine glass, so we ended up buying some more glasses!
Booklet stated coffee pod starter pack and bin bags were left, but unfortunately not.
Otherwise a great stay.
