Clean, bright and modern, but.....

The room was clean, bright and modern with a comfortable bed. It wasn't without a few problems though. No sockets by the bed and the nearest ones on the TV wall didn't work. The shower head wouldn't remain at the right angle. Biggest problem for us was the lack of a kettle in the room. Access to coffee machine (payment required) in reception was only in the morning, it was all locked up when returning at night. To me, the ability to have a coffee at night is a basic requirement that I expect from any hotel. Potentially a nice hotel, but these minor things let it down

Very nice clean hotel and a huge room. Hotel located in a residential nerhood so it is a very peaceful locaton. The view from the hotel, of the homes, and hills in the snow was lovelly. 5 min drive to the center of the town. On the negative side the breakfast was dissappointing and the hotel looks a little dated. Over all we were very pleased with the hotel and will come back again

Relatively basic which is reflected in price

Hotel was clean but very basic Rooms ( single ) very basic. Designed for small people. Breakfast at 11 euros was not good value. Staff were friendly and helpful . Hotel located relatively close to Altstadt however on a hill hence walking to and from in the heat was not best. Overall 6/10

Decent hotel close to the old town, but incorrect

The hotel is decent. It's very close to the old town. However, the room I was given was very small and just had a twin bed when it was supposed to be a double bed. I have spent more than a hundred nights in hotels in the past year alone and I have never been given the wrong room. Maybe the receptionist got confused. At least the heater was working and it was nice and cozy.

Worn & torn but solid. Budget hotel.

Solid hotel, friendly staff, family-owned. The house however probably hasn’t been renovated in a while. The wallpaper is coming off, the carpets tell olfactory tales of many a naked foot. The windows don’t insulate well, the house itself is quite noisy with thin walls. The staff didn’t comply with the Corona prevention measures; no one wore masks.

Great location for car access, yet easy walk to & from Bamberg town centre. Great to have a lift to get to 3rd floor. Slept very well. Reasonably large room, but small bathroom.

The staff are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The breakfast selection was on par with typical German hotels. The only negative I found was the hardness of the bed - it might be problematic for some.

Nice stay in quaint City of Bamberg

Our room was in a separate building next to the main hotel. The room was small but very comfortable and immaculately clean. Check in was easy and reception was very friendly and helpful. Only drawback was that the room had no hair dryer or coffee making facilities. Hotel is in a residential area but only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the center of town. They offer a very good breakfast buffet and is only €7. Very affordable by European standards. Parking was free as well. Would recommend this hotel.

nice stay in Bamberg

The hotel is not a fancy one, but is very comfortable and the value for money is very good. the room and the public areas are clean and all the staff members are very kind & helpful. The hotel location is a bit far from the center and you need to walk 15 minutes up or down a hill. There is nothing around it as it is located in a residential area, which makes it quite peaceful. if you have a car there is plenty of private parking and the distance is not an issue. the breakfast buffet is very reach and tasty!!!

Fantastic Sleep

My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I had the best night’s sleep in a week of travelling. I also arrived at 10:30 am hoping to drop off my bags until I could check in later and the hotel was able to check me in right away. It’s important to be aware that this hotel is a bit of a walk to the downtown area, downhill on the way there but uphill on the way back. However, it’s a lovely location situated in a regular neighbourhood.
