A recent travel vlog was done on YouTube about our cabin. Search for a video called 'AURORAS in Tromsø by a channel called Nature4U.
The location is fantastic near many Lyngen Alps attractions. In the winter, you will enjoy spectacular Northern Lights from your own private alpine plateau and from a large window in the living room of the main cabin.
The space consists of a main cabin with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. A second smaller cabin consists of a living room, bedroom and a kitchenette is included. There is also an additional outside toilet and a room for drying clothes and boots. Guests have access to the entire space (all three buildings in the pictures). The cabins have electric heating. The main cabin also has a wood burning stove.
The main cabin is well equipped and has WiFi with unlimited access. One free firewood bundle for outdoor camp fire during season.
October 2023 Update: We installed a water well system and a new bathroom remodel. Now there is hot water year round at the cabin, adding more creature comforts to a cabin whose location is secluded.
The cabin is a short and easy 45 minute drive from Tromsø. Parking is in front of the property at the road. Guests walk up a small hill to reach the front gate of their alpine oasis. The hosts will be available to answer any questions and provide advise on local attractions.
The cabin is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can expect to find free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a fireplace, a sofa bed, and a fenced private yard.

Perfect mountain getaway
Cosy traditional cabin with views of the Lygenalps and snowshoe routes on the doorstep. The cabin has everything you need: picture window for northern lights and a moccamaster coffee machine for when you get back from a hike (pick up a bag of ground beans from kaffebønna in Tromso on your way!). Cristina is an incredibly responsive and helpful host

It was wonderful!
Love that they provided some wood for a nice fire, and the host was extremely quick to respond to any messages! All items were well addressed in the booklet as well.

Excellent Stay
We loved the cabin, and it was even better than we could tell from the listing. It was perfect for a north-Norwegian vacation.

Perfect
The cabin was perfect in size, comfort and necessities. Not too far from town, but far enough to be away from the craziness of city life. Such a perfect little gem, 10/10, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ couldn’t be happier

What an amazing place to stay. The drive from Tromso to the cabin is breathtaking as you drive through the mountains and alongside lakes. The cabin has a beautiful view of mountains and was very peaceful. I recommend this cabin to anyone that wants a relaxing getaway in the mountains.

A beautiful retreat
This is a stunning retreat location. Despite regular snow showers and overcast skies throughout my stay, I still enjoyed it very much. The walk from the road to the cabin in deep snow is not to be underestimated, but it became an important aspect of the peaceful reflective time.
