This was such an incredible stay! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated with amazing hospitality. David was so accommodating to our group of 13 people! He started breakfast for us early so we could have plenty of time to enjoy a delicious meal and coffee before we headed out to our early morning excursion. There were plenty of options for everyone on the breakfast menu. I got the crepe pancakes with maple syrup and a “delicious” lemon- as David would say! He also gave us wonderful suggestions on what to do in the local area. Our room had a terrific view and the whole b&b was immaculately clean! We HIGHLY recommend!

The tides was such a lovely place to stay, unfortunately we were only able to enjoy our stay for one night but believe me we wanted to stay longer! The home is beautiful, the presentation from when you walk in to the accommodations in the room just blow you away! Really though it was the amazing hosts that made the stay so lovely! Dave is one of the greatest people I have had the pleasure of meeting ☺️ he creates the most welcoming vibes as he brings you into his B&B. He is there to give you recommendations on where to go for food, drinks, and some fun! He was very accommodating to our family as well, helping us get settled and bring out our bags. He even opened up breakfast a half hour early for us because he knew we had to get out early. The breakfast was delicious, I recommend trying the homemade crepes 😋. Everything was absolutely lovely, I could talk it up for days! Anytime I’m in ballybunion I will be sure to stay at The Tides B&B! Ps. be sure to ask about the story of the hairdresser sign 😉

Excellent location and gorgeous house! The staff were super friendly and the rooms were beautiful and spacious. Would suit any ages, groups etc. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Stayed here with 5 of my friends for 2 nights. We had 3 double rooms booked. Lovely welcome when we came in. The rooms were spacious clean and filled with everything we needed. As well as a fridge which was an added bonus.. they organised a taxi for us to and from Listowel. So helpful. We will stay again.

We stayed at the Tides for three nights and it was one of the most enjoyable stays we have ever had anywhere in Ireland. From the great welcome from David as soon as we arrived and his wealth of local knowledge to the beautiful breakfast. It was an extremely clean and spacious room and my family and I are looking forward to our return very soon.

I stayed at the Tides many years ago, and my return trip with 5 golfing friends was great. It really was too bad that we were there for just one night. The rooms are large and clean, with all the amenities one could want. All sorts of storage space for a longer stay. The exterior is attractive, and the breakfast room is beautiful. I highly recommend The Tides.

This was a beautiful, clean, and awesome place to stay! The owners are very friendly, informative, and kind. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had a gorgeous updated bathroom, and great breakfast. We will come here every time! Thank you

A very well appointed large bungalow, clean and modern with a large room and even larger bathroom with everything you'd need. We were greeted by the lady of the house who helped us a lot with our peculiar requests. Breakfast was very good too with plenty to choose from and a freshly cooked meal to keep us going throughout the day. The man of the house is a very keen golfer and the house is festooned with his trophies. I suspect if you showed the slightest interest, he'd join you at the first tee before you could shout 'fore'. Anyway, he too was a lovely friendly chap and when his credit card machine broke, he was very apologetic, offering any method he could think of to receive payment. Ballybunion is a 20+ minute walk from this place down a fairly busy, fast road. So if you want to go into the village for dinner with drinks, plan accordingly. The morning of our departure, the owner mentioned that there was a race meeting on the beach and kindly let us stay till midday. And if you've never seen horses tearing across a beach, don't pass on the opportunity - it was terrific!

The Tides is beautifully appointed and very spacious - received a very warm Irish welcome from David Walsh with excellent recommendations for drinks and dinner in Ballybunnion. A delicious breakfast especially served early to enable us to get a good start for the journey to Dublin for the ferry home - nothing too much trouble! Thank you David and Doreen for an excellent finale to our most enjoyable Southern section of the Wild Atlantic Way from Clonokilty to Ballybunnion!

The Tides ballybunion. Very well presented and well appointed, attention to detail excellent. Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Friendly and knowledgeable owner. Good breakfast. Maybe a little road noise at the front. Price reflects location near golf course.
