Loved this place ! Stayed there in 10 days during my 1 month trip to Bali and everything was just perfect. The lovely room, the surroundings, the fantastic friendly staff, the location right on Monkey Forest Road, the choice of breakfast. Authentic Bali spirit! I travelled alone but did not feel alone or insecure at any time. Can recommend this place from my heart!
I stayed at the neighbors (no names mentioned) the week before but wasn't fully satisfied about my stay there. So ended up booking this place because the reviews and pictures seemed nice. And indeed it was very nice actually!! I can't think of anything that was wrong! The room was nice and tidy, the bathroom was clean and new, the staff was very helpful, ánd the wifi did what it had to do!! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone that's visiting Ubud and wants to be in the city center but want to be outside the crowd.
It is our first time to Bali and Ubud is our first stop. We stayed here for 5D4N. My review may be bias as I prefer boutique accommodation for a more relaxing and intimate experience. Nevertheless, here's why we are so happy with Yulia: Location: We thought it is best to stay along main street for easy navigation so its either Jalan Monkey Forest or Jalan Raya Ubud for us. The later can be very congested during the day with hordes of tourist bus letting passengers alight so we settled for Jalan Monkey Forest. Yulia is located at the quieter part of Jalan Monkey Forest yet accessible to various attraction. Yes, there are still many vehicles that pass by the hotel each day but the rooms are nested deep inside so noise is never an issue. Except for rooster calls but hey, its the countryside. Well maintained: Yulia may be an old hotel but it constantly undergo refurbishments to stay relevant. Our room 808 (ground floor) floor looks pretty new but some furniture look tired. Nevertheless, we are happy that everything works well. A small but good selection of cable channels is an added bonus. Most importantly, the room and towels is very clean, bed is comfortable and we have good shower water pressure so no complaints. Staff: All the staff are so friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to frontline staff, Dewa (hope I spelled the name correctly). He helped us arranged an off beaten Mount Batur Private Tour in very short notice and found us an excellent driver for Jatiluwih. Thanks to his great recommendation, I was able to achieve my planned itinerary at a reasonable fee without wasting time to do bargaining under the hot sun. Efficiency: Room service usually take less than 20 mins. And laundry (very reasonably priced) within 24 hours. We took this for granted initially but after staying in another accommodation in Seminyak Bali, we realised not every hotel can achieve this. So thumbs up! Value for Money: We paid about S$60per night through Agoda which includes free breakfast. The breakfast menu may be limited but the portion is decent and enough to last you through late lunch or even dinner if you are a small eater. The only issue we encountered was Wifi. Signals tend to be weak in the room. Me thinks the router position (exposed to rain and sun) may not be the best position. It was no surprise that Wifi was down for an entire day during my stay. They managed to fix the issue by changing to a new router though, but still at the same place ha! Nevertheless, if you can't live without internet, just get a SIMPATI simcard from the shop next door. Just 120K IDR, you'll get 2GB data and some talktime. Overall, we are very happy with the place. Highly recommended! Navigation Tips: Facing main road, left to Monkey Sanctuary. Right to Palace and Campuhan Ridge.
Stayed here with a family of 4 (little kids) and it was a good time. The staff was very friendly and the room was good. The swimming pool is big enough for kids to play in and it is nice to have a good breakfast choice (about 10 things!). So would certainly recommend.
I have previously reviewed this place but I want to ensure I keep it updated as we normally stay there each year for 4 - 7 days. The place is continually being updated with the refurbishment of the rooms, the gardens, the breakfast menu and staff involvement. The gardens are a credit to the management and staff as they always have the current seasons flowers and they are kept neat and clean. We appreciate things such as the complementary afternoon tea whilst overlooking the pool, fish ponds and garden. All staff are polite and friendly even those throughout the garden area and those who are not fluent in English. A relaxing and convenient place to stay in a centralized location in Monkey Forest Road.
From the moment I arrived at Yulia Village Inn I felt welcomed, comfortable and relaxed. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. My room was beautiful. The bed was terrific, big fluffy pillows and fresh bedding put on every day by the housekeeping staff. I didn't go in the pool, but only because I was busy exploring every day. But it was lovely and surrounded by the gorgeous gardens and the fish pond. Breakfast every morning was delicious with fresh juice and fruit. I highly recommend the pancakes, both the banana and pineapple ones and the French toast. The afternoon tea that they serve was an absolutely refreshing delight as well. The hotel may be on a busy street, but the rooms are so set back that you would never even know. Very peaceful and quiet grounds. The monkey forest is a quick and easy 5 minute walk to the left and the Ubud outdoor markets are just 10 minutes to the right. The prayer palace is less than 15 minutes away. There are really lovely restaurants within a few minutes walking distance as well. The internet was slow at times, but it did not affect my visit. The air conditioner in the room was wonderful. The bathroom was great, really good water pressure in the shower. They put 2 glass bottles of water in your room every day, which I totally appreciated. There is a mini refrigerator and tv in the room. When it was time for me to leave the hotel staff arranged a driver to take me to the airport. I will definitely be visiting Ubud again in the future and there is no where else I would stay other than Yulia Village Inn. I was sad to leave but will be back again. Thank you for the perfect place to stay for my Bali holiday.
Yulia Village Inn is in a perfect location for visiting Ubud, Bali centrally located to shops, restaurants and the Monkey Forest. The Inn is beautifully decorated inside and out, nestled in behind the bustling busyness of Ubud. The room was large and bright with air conditioning, a large screen television, a private bathroom with an amazing shower. They provide all the amenities, kettle, tea, coffee, a mini bar, free water, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The cleaners cleaned the room while I was at breakfast refreshing all the amenities. The pool is clean and refreshing. The staff was available to take care of anything their guests might require. I enjoyed staying at this property very much and would highly recommend this as a place to call home while visiting Ubud.
Amazing place with lovely design , the people super kind and resolutive... the breakfast really good!!! I come back for sure!! The location is good you can walk to the monkey forest and has lots of restaurants shops and bars near to the hotel
We checked ratings for this hotel and it appeared good, so we booked. The room they gave us was so tiny you could hardly turn around, this for $100 Au a night! The airconditioner did not work properly and was noisy, no internet reception and there was no water in the taps of the hand basin ....... can you believe it. Rang reception and said it was not good enough ...... they moved us, but only after complaining a lot and taking their time. Took us to slightly better room and because it was late evening by this time, we stayed one night. Would not stay here again. Only plus is the location. We had also left some items in their secure room, so disorganised that they did not return one. We had to send a driver from the south of Bali to Ubud to collect it.
Great location. Excellent facilities. Outstanding staff service. And very well priced ... even by Bali standards. Very highly recommended. I stayed there for 5 nights and was extremely impressed with all aspects. Nothing was too much trouble and all requests were attended to promptly. I have stayed many times in Ubud at various hotels and this is by far the best.
