The Bale Nusa Dua is only 30 min away from the airport and they offer complimentary airport transfer. On arrival I was warmly greeted and handed a refreshing welcome drink at the check-in desk, showed me around the villa and explained how to use all appliances, the staff were extremely helpful, polite and accommodating. I stayed in Single Pavilion room for 3 nights, big comfortable bed, the bathroom is clean and spacious with separate bath, rain shower and double sink, there also an outdoor shower, I love how complete the amenities offered in the room, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, bath oil, bath salt, also bathrobe, slippers, beach bag and free water bottles every day, mini bar juices & soda free as well, all villas in the resort has its own private pool and outdoor bed perfect place to relax when the sun get too hot. The bale had 2 restaurants (Tapas Bistro & Faces) Faces is an open kitchen with stylish design, Tapas Bistro has a cool design as well, at night you can enjoy your drinks while watching Live acoustic music, both restaurant serves good quality food. The staff was really friendly and helpful with great advice if you're not sure what food to order. The room service meal I had for dinner serves freshly cooked always comes with complimentary bread. The villas are located in a perfect place, very quiet and private, just what you needed when you are looking for a relaxing holiday, the resort does not accommodate children below 16 years old so perfect for quiet holiday. The Bale offer a complimentary shuttle drop off around Nusa dua area if you would like to go shop to the bali collection shopping centre which is only 10 min drive. Whether you’re the type to swim, tan, read, walk or all the above, you can do it in the Geger beach which is only 6 min walk from the resort or 2 min drive if you don’t feel like walking there is a car can take you anytime, the resort has private beach club with service. Overall a good experience. One of the best resort I have ever visited, I would recommend this resort to my friends and family because of the personal attention taken by the staff members to your need. It feels like home staying in The Bale resort. Thank you very much for the wonderful time.
Stayed at The Bale for 5 nights as part of my wifes 30th birthday , the staff are the most friendly people we have met on our travels anywhere up to now , everyone is nice and do a very good job . The villas are great and get the sun most of the day, glad they all have there own pool as we needed it as the weather in Bali is so hot and humid I couldn't sit out in it at anytime of the day for longer than half an hour without getting in the pool . The food was amazing, every meal we had was so tasty .We only ate at Tapa once as we prefered Faces even though the food at Tapa was very good too , altough my wife had a desert there which was very poor it was like a cheap frozen supermarket desert not good at all. The next night she ordered one at Faces and it was one of the best we have ever tasted ( apple tarte tatin with Pecan ice cream ! ) . We stayed at the villa most of the time even though we went for a walk some days to the beach or the supermarket for some big bottled water and some fruit , the beach is ok but nothing speacial with lots of rubbish about . The main pool is always quite hardly anyone use it as most people stay in there villas . The one thing we would say is the matineance slighty lets the resort done its a bit tired in places which when we 1st arrived we were slighty disappointed with , but the staff more than made up for this and wouldnt put us off staying here again , also its very quite at night in both restuarants and the bar some nights only one or two couples in either . Just wanted to thank all the staff at the Bale for making our first experience of Bali and memorable one and to say a huge thank you for being so accommodating. The service here is impeccable, and nothing is a chore for them and everything is delivered with a friendly, genuine smile. The staff are very engaging and almost at hand to make sure everything is going smoothly and comfortably. So it has definitely earned the 5* in this alone. The rooms were fab, very comfortable and we are in definite agreement with the other reviews who state it is a “home away from home” as it truly is so well maintained and extremely peaceful. The pool in the villa is amazing and well maintained, the turn down was a nice touch, and the general amenities here were credible. The cooking class - definitely worth doing. We had a brilliant time with Nadi, who gave us a huge insight into indonesian cooking along with a memorable market visit to pick up ingredients and get a general feel for the incredible culture here. The spa - we had the daily spa package which was brilliant and just was we needed! Therapists were all lovely and accommodating and the treatments were fab! The transfers to the airport and surrounding places in nusa dua is a great service and always readily available to take you yo where you need to go. The private beach is also very lovely with great amenities. The only criticism i can add is when we were settling our bill. As our flight arrived early hours of the morning, we got to the hotel around 1:30am on the day of check in. This was then added as an extra night to our final bill (which was to be expected) however this was never communicated to us during the emails stating we would be arriving at this time, nor was it communicated during check in etc. Only a minor detail but perhaps better communication for these situations. Overall, a very pleasant stay, we would definitely go back if we had the choice! We are sad to be home now, but just wanted to thank everyone at the bale for making out stay special and showing us a good time!
I’d love to thank The Bale team for making the best memories of my honeymoon !!! Every time we came from our trips from all over the places in Bali , we were eager to come back as to return home!! Indeed it was a feeling of being at home. The staff is super attentive and caring. The breakfast was superb ! We enjoyed the perfect Balinese spa massages. The last evening was ideal: candlelight dinner in our garden !! Can’t wait to come back again !!!!
On the first night of our stay,the water came out from the bathtub was completely YELLOW(so was the outdoor shower) and there was no hot water from the main shower! They sent the engineers several times to fix them and we waited for a very tired 2+ hours just for the shower but came out they failed fixing them so we went to another villa to shower....very ridiculous...it was 3am already. The manger apologized to us and gave us 1 hour complementary massage but didn’t immediately changed us to another villa. The second night was fine, we had hot water from the shower but it was very very unstable. The hot water turned into extremely hot water and even cold water while I’m showering. It was very disturbing and my skin hurts. Then the third night we got no hot water AGAIN!!!! I started wondering why they didn’t double checked during these days or even moved us to another villa. We called and called to the front desk and they told me to wait for another 30 minutes for the shower after the first attempted fixing the shower(12:30am and we already waited for 30mins)...But I couldn’t wait because we had to wake up like 8am in the morning to enjoy our last day in Bali..so I tried the shower at 2:30am and it was hot in the first 3 minutes but then quickly turned in to cold water and I started to sneeze. My husband and I had a rough night even on the last day of our stay. We can’t even mention the WiFi in our room sucks...basically you can’t even search anything on the internet!!! By the way the housekeeping broke into our room on the second day afternoon, while my husband and I were totally naked swimming in our private pool. We were shocked and rushed into the bathroom getting towels to cover ourselves. He said they brought around 7 to 10 people in the room and the first person came in was already walking towards to pool....I was terrified about the privacy here. I’m really sad to give 3 stars to you guys. I love everything about this villa...the people,the atmosphere,the beach....but just can’t believe that we can’t even enjoy the beautiful bathtub in our villa...and can’t stand that we gotta wait for the easiest thing in life....SHOWER. We really expect more from this five star villa....would love to go back in the near future but really need a better reason among all these happened to us. Hope they reconstruct the villa 11 anytime soon.
The Villas are even more beautiful and spacious than the website shows. you feel like you're in a luxury home in Hollywood. Windows are everywhere bringing in wonderful light, yet there is so much privacy. Our butler, June, and especially the Manager, Edward, who went above an beyond in customer service. They anticipated our every need and followed through.. Edward help resolve an unforeseen situation that was out of their control and we can't thank him enough. With the team on duty, you cannot go wrong with The Bale. I highly recommend it. The food at Tapa was fresh and delicious
Were can I begin? The Balé - truly a memorable experience its one of those Resorts that make you feel like a VIP from the moment you walk in. The entrance is Grand, The lobby is beautiful, The villas are 5 star and the staff are incredibly attentive. The is no doubt you get your moneys worth when staying at The Balé. The pictures you see don’t do it justice, you have to stay for your self to really get a feel for it. We stayed in a Pool villa which was huge, tropical opulence is how I would describe The Balé. lounging on the day bed, relaxing in the sun it was one of those Villas you just didn’t want to leave - so we didn’t spending most of our time in our villa or exploring beautiful Nusa Dua which offers many beautiful beaches and water sport activities. unfortunately this means I can’t personally comment on the activities on offer. I did manage to take a look at the gym, small but perfect for anyone wanting to do a mini work out or burn of a few extra holiday calories. One perk is the free mini bar on offer (only water, juice and soda). But they also offer 24 hour Buttler service as well as being able to have your daily breakfast in the privacy of your own villa a service that often comes at a premium. One thing I loved about the breakfast is the portion size. They aren’t massive, so two people can order two or three different breakfast items from the FACES restaurant menu and share - that way you can try different things with out forcing your self to eat to much or wasting half the food. Some might be disappointed however that they don’t offer a buffet option however. Standard amenities on offer as well as the standard free water and daily local fruits as well as tasty cookies. The Balé is a little out of they way, you can walk to some good local restaurants but its a little bit of a walk I would suggest calling a taxi or using the hotels shuttle service. All in all we had a fabulous stay, unfortunately it was only two nights. My only regret not getting to stay longer!!!!
From the resort lobby to the individual private villas, every aspect of this resort was gorgeous. The friendly staff at the front desk were always smiling and ready to help. They were very proactive, making suggestions and on top of all transport arrangements. I really liked the free transport provided to all guests within the Nusa Dua area. This makes shopping and eating out very easy. In saying that, the on-site restaurant, Tapa Bistro, made some of the best food I've had in Nusa Dua (and I've stayed at quite a few different hotels over the years). The orange pancakes are to die for!
My wife & I spent seven wonderful days at the Bale. The booking process prior to arrival was seamless & email inquires all answered promptly. From the moment we arrived at the airport our experience was first class. The transfer to & from the airport were in new & well maintained vehicles. Cold drinks & fresh fruit were provided. The Bale design & architecture is striking. The gardens and surrounds meticulously maintained by a small team every day. Our villa at Bale was by far the biggest and best room we have stayed in anywhere in the world. The villa pool was well maintained & a great size. We had little reason to leave our villa during our stay. The hotel amenities are excellent. Dining was a highlight. Both restaurants had wonderful food, reasonable liquor prices & excellent staff. We particularly loved our cooked to order breakfasts each morning. A highlight for us was a romantic dinner which was set up and served by the pool in our villa. The effort the staff & management went to for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary will stay with us forever. We highly recommend any other guests consider doing the same. Now for the highlight. The real difference between a great resort & an exceptional resort experience is the management & staff. At every level at The Bale the staff were genuinely friendly & helpful. Always a kind word & big smiles. We had many laughs & discussions with staff and management. Particular thanks to and recognition should go to Yayuk, Komang Ayu, Budha, Putu, Andi, Gobby & Toto. Toto was a great butler taking care of all our needs. These guys made us feel like family and spoiled us with exceptional service. two days before we left we had already been offered a late checkout to coincide with our evening flight home. Its the little things that make a difference! We particularly need to mention the resort manager Madlen. Thank you Madlen for your hands on style & willingness to mingle with all your guests on a daily basis. Your friendship, warmth and attention to detail will remain in our memories forever. Therese & I now have new friends & a new home in Bali. We will be back again in 2018. We highly recommend this resort to other couples. Terima Kasi.
You will find it difficult to escape from this gem hotel. The villas are beautifully designed and you feel in heaven. Perfect for a romantic getaway, perfect for privacy. Very exquisite hotel. I highly recommend it for a couple, no children allowed and you will understand why when you get there.
