My wife i only just retuturned from a weeks stay at the sudamala suits resort. I was in a little bit of a shock to how quiet it was at sanur. As we normally stay in the madness of kuta. From the airport pick up from the resort to the welcoming to depature the staff were very very good.very attentive to my wife and i needs.trying to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The resort was so good very quiet and so relaxing. The food from rhe restaurant was very good breakfast was a number of set menus etc but was plentyful. I would not hesitate in staying there again the locals were very welcoming and friendly. And rhwre is a wonderful boardwalk not far from the motel which is fantastic for the keen early morning walkers and runners.
In all the chaos of tourist hot spots in Bali , Sanur offers the chance to find a peaceful slice of paradise , while at the same time enjoying the happy friendly Balinese hospitality. The sudamala suites are set in the main section of town , and are a 5 minute walk to the beach , where a roped- off area of deck chairs and umbrellas is set up for guests . The hotel dining room fronts the main road , but was always clean and tranquil . We enjoyed our stay here . The staff are delightful - attentive , helpful , eager to please . Our room was very pleasant . The gardens and pool were inviting and cool . We would return here happily
An excellent option in Sanur at a very competitive price. Understated elegance with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Rooms are spacious with generous bathrooms. The pool is large and usually empty during out stay. It is a 5 min walk to the beach with plenty of dining options nearby, but the in-house restaurant is good. Breakfast is excellent with many choices, good value if you get it in the room price.
After an extremely trying 2017 my wife and I began 2018 with a holiday to Indonesia. Our stay at the Sudamala Villas and resort in Sanur and Sengiggi, Lombok was exactly what we needed. We are regular visitors to Indonesia since 1977 including stays in Bali(Legian, Sanur and Caangu, Medewi), Sumatra, Lombok and Lembongan and I can say without question that the Sudamala offered us the most enjoyable time we have experienced. We were afforded free massages at both locations where the girls were respectful and fully professional, complimentary fruit in our room every day, a free welcoming fruit drink on arrival, complimentary sandwich on arrival at both resorts, free sunset cocktails on the first night ( Gotta luv the Lomboktini), nightly turn down service, free bottled water every day. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage space, coffee and tea making facilities. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable with pillows unique to the resort, they even have a pillow menu where you can select a different type of pillow for your comfort. The rooms are cleaned very well and the bathrooms are typical Indonesian style opening to a small gardened atrium. The food provided by restaurants at both Sanur and Lombok is top grade with plenty of variety. Breakfast menus are set but it is no trouble for staff if you wish to mix and match. Chef Juandi is a master of Indonesian cuisine and some of his specialty dishes are amazing. I have never encountered staff so intent on making your stay the most comfortable and enjoyable it can be. Nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to help. I witnessed two guests come to dinner soaking wet after getting caught in a rain storm. A dining room staff member immediately noticing the guests discomfort ran to the rear of the resort and returned with two pool towels for those guests to dry themselves so they could dine in relative comfort. The staff love their jobs and this can be attributed to management who also go out of their way to organise any day trips or tours you wish to take . They also provided us with up grades at Lombok, where we had absolute beach frontage and a Villa at Sanur on our last night before flying home to the Gold Coast. If you are thinking of a trip to Bali or Lombok think Sudamala. Its the only place to stay.
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous – the rooms, bathrooms, public areas and grounds are all spectacular. Our room had a huge private garden, with a covered daybed where I could read even when it was raining. The bed was extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. The bathroom had an open-air, though well-screened, toilet and shower. The TV had a huge range of channels, including HBO, and the Internet worked well everywhere. There is a lovely pool and spa, and the beach is about a 10-minute walk. Shops and restaurants are right out the front door. The staff are all incredibly nice, helpful and welcoming. The problem? All the little things fall through the cracks. We are escorted to our room upon arrival, but no one can find the key, so we are left standing in the hall for 15 minutes. We ask for the beach pass, but when we arrive there is no attendant to set up the chairs or hand out towels (and we are prohibited from doing it ourselves). We leave our room from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, with the “Maid Service” light turned on, and when we return, the room still hasn’t been cleaned. We go to the pool bar for lunch, but there is no waiter despite it being a sunny day during “open” hours. We go to the restaurant for dinner at 7 pm, but it’s totally empty – none of the tables are set and no one is there to seat us. At breakfast, the waitress forgets to bring half our order, and I give up after 3 attempts to get her to bring more coffee. Because I know that managers don’t like to hear this for the first time on public reviews online, I bring 3 of these issues to his attention personally. He listens carefully, explains what caused some of the problems, apologizes for the issues, and thanks me for letting him know. But there is no attempt to make up for any of it – not so much as a free drink at the bar before we depart. This is really sad because it’s such a beautiful property, and it could be truly luxurious if there were better management.
Stayed here recently for 4 nights. We booked a deluxe suite but got upgraded to a corner studio suite upon arrival/check in which was lovely. Much bigger room with a nice balcony & view over the pool. Bed comfortable & double basins in bathroom. Staff friendly. Breakfast each morning is from an a la carte menu not buffet but you still can get all the usuals. Short walk to sanur beach where there are reserved chairs for hotel guests however we didn't stay/swim there as we didn't like the beach & it had a strong rubbish smell which wasn't pleasant. We spent all days at our hotel pool which was relaxing & quiet. Hotel in good location, easy walk to lots of restaurants & getting taxis was easy & cheap.
After much research we stayed here for 10 days and couldn't fault it. They collected us from the airport - very late at night with cool fragrant flannels and drinks. Check in was quick and we were immediately given a complementary upgrade to a poolside suite which was huge, private, cool and fully equipped. As we had missed dinner a complimentary sandwich snack and fruit was provided. The service and cleaning was excellent - only once our bathroom wasn't cleaned very well but they came back and made everything good. Breakfast was great with enough variation for everyone- the chef is great with eggs!! Location is great - near enough interesting restaurants and bars and a short cab ride to wherever you need to go to. The beach is in easy walking distance - we bored the free bikes every day but yes it is a shallow beach and yes there is seaweed when the tide goes out a bit - but it is the best end of the beach - we know because we cycled as far as you can go north and south! We nearly missed our flight home (our fault totally)and the staff rallied round and got us and our bags to the airport with literally minutes to spare - they were amazing. You can get to most places in the island from here on day trips - Ubud, beaches, paddy fields, monkey forests, white water rafting, waterfalls, snorkelling - the list is endless but coming back to this relaxing hotel is always welcome. Two restaurants you must visit - Gong - outstanding and a bit out of the way but they pick you up and drop you off free of charge and treat you like a King for a night. Soul in a Bowl - a little bit of a walk from the hotel but totally worth it.
Just gorgeous. Staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. We have 2 weeks here and I can't think of any place I'd rather be! The architecture, rooms, gardens make this place seem a world away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. Couldn't be happier will definitely be back ❤️
It was our fist trip to Bali and Sudamala hotel made it absolutely unforgettable! The place is so beautiful, harmonious and peaceful! It has a lot of character and full of culture! We were particularly impressed by the service! We have travelled a lot and nowhere I have seen such a welcoming; non intrusive but yet extremely professional staff. Every request has been handled above our expectations! The rooms are spacious, full of light and stylishly decorated. If you have a chance to stay in one bedroom villa, don't hesitate! It is am experience of its own! The spa is also great! I have tried all the bathes! We will definitely be coming back! Special thank you to all the members of staff who made our stay so special!
This boutique hotel is very beautiful and has an outstanding art design! The suites are very pretty, extremely clean and comfortable. There is a lovely pool around and spa. This hotel is so special because of the designs and only 36 suites. All the staff is super friendly and not to much around what we really appreciated. Also for lunch or dinner you don't have to go far away, the restaurant in this hotel has delicious food! I highly recommend this place to stay! I would love to go again!
