Rama Phala Resort & Spa

3.5 out of 5.0

The rooms are in midst of peaceful landscaped gardens. The hotel is just off a busy street, with plenty of bars, restaurants, exchange bureaus in the immediate vicinity. The furniture was a bit outdated, and some minor repairs needed. The spa facility was small and a bit over-priced.

I stay here 3 nights from 23.07 to 26.07.2017, and I was very impressed by the hotel, the room arrangement, and especially the bathroom. The bed is very confortable. They have a small pool, with a few sunbeds, and it's perfect for a short bath. I was disaapointed by the breakfast, and the coffee was miserable- this is the only thing that dissapointed me here. Is near the shop and is very good situated. Perfect for a short stay, and if they improve the breakfats and coffee will be really 5 stars.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at Rama Phala and were much impressed by the beauty of the grounds and rooms. The hotel is located in a great location in the heart of Ubud with a short walk to lots of great restaurants and shops yet the hotel is remarkably quiet in spite of the hustle and bustle. The food is good but there are lots of great places to eat within easy walking distance. The hotel also offers free shuttle service to the central Ubud area where the palace and its dance performances are located as well as great shopping.

The Rama Phala Resort and Spa was the first hotel that I stayed in while travelling through Bali, Indonesia. It is a quaint resort with friendly staff. The breakfast is not buffet. A variety of choices are available from the menu. The food is freshly prepared and it is tasty. The Deluxe Room is spacious with a comfortable bed. The bathroom has an open air shower. This allows for a shower under the stars in the evening, and a shower listening to the birds in the morning. The resort is located away from the noise of the traffic on the main road. It is located five minutes away from the Sacred Monkey Forest. The resort provides transport to Central Ubud as well as any other destination you may be interested in. The reception staff are helpful in organising the transport. If you would like to stay in a resort that is quiet yet well located in Ubud, I recommend staying at the Rama Phala Resort and Spa.

Arrived and our rooms wernt ready so went to get food at there dining area. Food was awful rooms where dirty staff where unhelpful nothing in our rooms worked properly and refused any kind of refund then just transferred us too there sister resort out of town witch was a right pain would never go back

We just got back from our stay in Bali where the Rama Phala was our first stop. I really loved the beautiful grounds of this resort. There are some complaints on here about the distance from the road but we were at the back & I loved the beautiful walk to our room. It was no problem at all. And it means that you don't have any traffic noise which is lovely. We stayed in the family suite which had a private garden for the kids to play in & a little lounge room. We were really happy with it! The only downside was that there was a steep concrete staircase inside so I was a little worried about the kids hurting themselves (but they didn't). The location is great with loads of restaurants & the monkey forest close by. Breakfast was nice, the only improvement could be the addition of muesli as there was only cereal. I would recommend anyone going to Ubud to stay at this lovely resort.

This small hotel/resort was perfect for our stay in Ubud. The pool was so refreshing at the end of the day. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If there was a drawback, it was that the rooms with the best bathroom - showers under the stars - are on the upper floors and after a busy day of touring and shopping - and heat and humidity - it can be a tiring climb to get to bed! Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Stayed for 3 nights. Big rooms, nice gardens, friendly and attentive staff, Great location in the middle of restaurants and shops but surprisingly peaceful and quiet. There's even a 24-hour convenient store right across the street. Thank you, Rama Phala for our pleasant stay!

So sorry to only give 3 points to this hotel, because it really has a good potential. The position is good, righ tin the heart of Ubud. Close to many restaurants. The hotel overall is nice and the staff are helpful and kind. But. The rooms: too humid (they smells bad), AC was not working well, we had many problems (with the safe, with the water, with the tea pot etc), and more important, it was quite dirty. I mean I'm not the one who looks under the bed, but really... the bathroom with the cobweb is too much! The breakfast also was nothing special, for those who want continental breakfast there is really only few things... and not even that good. So honestly I wouldn't go back.. also because I paid less in other places and they were much better!

This hotel is best in class hotel at the price offered, one can't expect more than what they have offered at the price. Great greenery great pool, great food... Spacious rooms. Only thing that I missed here is there is no water jet or hand Shower in toilet which is a disgusting thing if you are not a tissue lover guy to clean your ****! hence 4 stars otherwise 5!
