I very highly recommend the Pullman in Legian, Bali. It wasn't 100% flawless, but I never expect flawlessness anywhere. What I really liked more than anything else was the always-smiling, always-accommodating staff. They were always there when I needed them, they provided first rate service, and I thought they were completely wonderful. I loved the location -- perfect spot across the street from the ocean and near lots of restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. The lobby is enormous and accommodating. My room was comfortable: large comfortable bed, relaxing balcony, large bathroom, and impeccable room service. Aside from the minor improvement recommendations I put below, the only complaint I would have was that the room adjacent to mine was undergoing some repairs or upgrades that were worked on at the most bizarre hours of the day and night, including around midnight. Now, I typically have infinite patience, so it took me a couple days to say something. When I did, the front desk, and then the individual who subsequently called me to apologize, seemed to be oblivious to the situation and said they would investigate it. It would seem to me that the repair/remodel activity schedules are something that should be well known to a hotel's staff and shouldn't require any investigation at all. Anyhow, the noise stopped promptly and never resumed. I was happy with the resolution of that issue. I would definitely stay here when I return to Bali. Comfort, location, staff -- A++.
We checked into the hotel mid afternoon with no issues. A pleasant welcome drink was provided. The staff was most courteous and the room was delightful. We had originally booked an ocean view room, but due to construction issues that room was unavailable, so we were upgraded to a deluxe suite room- very large and very quiet. The beach is just across the street. The breakfast was quite plentiful with made to order egg dishes and many many options for different items. Our only issue during the 3 nights and 4 days was that when we went to the seafood buffet on the Saturday night, the service was quite slow. Overall a very nice experience.
We stayed in an ocean view room and it was stunning. The staff was very accommodating with everything we needed. The location is perfect and we walked everywhere we needed to go. The morning breakfast buffet has a ton of tasty treats. We really truly had a great stay and would not hesitate to book it again when we come back.
