This hotel is stunning!! The villas are very spacious and outdoor bathroom is beautiful!! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is really great!! The views are amazing as well and the pool is even greater in real life compared to photos. We'll most definitely be back to visit Bali soon!!
From the minute we arrived at Pita Maha, the magic started. The lobby area is perched high above an incredible forest, and the buildings seem to be an organic extension of this wonderfully lush environment. We had a pool villa, which I would strongly recommend. Each villa is a world onto its own, with high walls, privacy and the pool is right at the edge of the jungle. The villa itself is elegant and designed in old Balinese style. Each villa is spacious and well appointed. The best part of Pita Maha is the staff. Everyone is unbelievably helpful, hospitable and warm. We had our breakfast and lunch every day at the villa, and the style of the room service is the most elegant we have ever experienced. It is a wonderful touch. Dinners were in the dining area, which is perched above the forest. Very romantic and enchanting. We decided to splurge on the Temple dinner (package sold separately) which was unbelievable. Because of the rain, it needed to be conducted at our villa. Workers came an hour in advance, erected lights, and decorations to correspond to the holiday. Musicians appeared and the dinner started. The wait staff hovered around the villa to bring the various dishes. The menu was the best food we had in Indonesia. The drivers and guides that are associated with the hotel are also excellent, though English can be a bit of a challenge. I can't say enough positive about Pita Maha. We traveled for three weeks throughout Indonesia, and Pita Maha stands out as the premier experience of the entire trip. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We absolutely loved our stay. Staff were so friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay. The room was beautiful and clean. The food was delicious (we didn't eat else where because it was so good). The cooking class we did through the hotel was so much fun and we learnt so much. Even got a gift for doing the class. Both the infinity pool and the pool in the villa were both beautiful and so relaxing looking over the rain forest. We stayed for our honeymoon and they gave us a delicious cake and a really beautiful wood carving that had our names in it, they truly went above and beyond to ensure we were had the best time. The massage at the hotel was incredible and one of the best we have ever had. Thank you for such a lovely stay
We stayed here in September 2017 as part of our Honeymoon. It was the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. Even better than the photographs. Everything from the villa, the pool, the breakfast room, and just the general scenery was just beautiful. The entire hotel is just surrounded by stunning plants, statues, flowers, birds, butterflies just fluttering around you. I have never felt more peaceful. The pool was just so tranquil with the calming sounds of trickling water and surrounding birds twittering away. The staff were wonderful and so helpful and attentive. Would like to make a special mention to their chef Windana, who cooked us a delicious private dinner, and made us feel so welcome during our trip. Would definitely recommend booking the private dinner - the effort put in by the staff, and the gorgeous decoration put up provided us with the most special evening. And finally to finish off our special trip, the hotel staff gave us a personalised leaving gift to celebrate our honeymoon - such a wonderful touch on our last day. Would definitely return here again, and would now like to try their sister hotels too!
The hotel has amazing location that allows the rooms to overlook green valley. Gorgeous views and very enjoyable private pools. Highly recommend to people that want some quite time and unwind. You can order breakfast in the room, which is great. Mobility restricted people should avoid booking here as this is multi level hotel with stairs, but that adds a unique charm.
This was our third trip to Pita Maha in Ubud and as per usual the service, rooms etc did not disappoint. We have recommended this to our family and would only do so if it was the highest quality. We arrived when the volcano was errputing and the staff did everything they could to assist and ensure we were comfortable with the situation and offered support event after we have left the hotel. The location is great and the scenery ideallic. Appreciated the hassle free transport too and from hotels in Seminyak and Kuta. We will definitely return for another stay.
The location is just gorgeous. There is no other word for it. Everything about it is amazing, from the pool, artwork, bungalows to the food. Location is a green heaven on earth. What was not so great were some other elements. Transportation was one of them. It was so bad that i wanted to give this place 2 stars. The driver on the way up was driving us around from shop to shop although we explicitly said (multiple times) we want to go to the hotel right away. I’m sure some visitors like that tour , but I did not, and i would have appreciated if our wish not to drive around was respected. The really bad part was the trip back. The driver didn’t stop complaining how he wasn’t payed enough by the hotel and wanted to get us stuck in traffic if we don’t pay more to avoid traffic and potentially miss our flight. This is not acceptable by any means and the hotel needs to manage this. The other element is the lack of friendliness and support from the reception staff. We felt not welcome at all when we arrived. The receptionist was only friendly when offering packages but we had to argue to see our room before moving in. Not a good start for a relaxing stay who praises themselves to offer relaxation. Also the constant pushing about getting a massage from the staff was also completely out of place and really ticked us off. The last bit was very a family on the pool one day that was extremely loud. Their behavior is not the hotels fault, but the lack of any action by the staff is. They did nothing to manage the visitors from stop to yelling around. Both of us went and complained separately but the staff didn’t even listen to what we were saying as they kept repeating that they know the kids were loud and have send someone to warn them. First if all we didn’t complain about the kids, we complained about the mother. Secondly the only person who came was a staff member to ask us again if we wanted a massage package. So in one sentence, amazing and well maintained services but ruins the experience because of service.
November last year we had experience Royal Pita Maha during our honeymoon trip and this year we Experienced their sister property and both are equally a gorgeous properties with their own unique charms, at Pita Maha Resort we stayed at One Bedroom Villa with private pool, Its Like entering local balinese house with authentic balinese carving, with authentic balinese wooden entrance, The villa was Spacious with plunge pool and beautiful view overlooking to the valley, The delicious breakfast was served as set menu plus the staff service and attentiveness are remarkable, not forget to mention the highlight of this property is on the location as from Villa to the main road the distance is quite far you will feel tranquil, you will feel peaceful hearing the sounds of natures, the view was also amazing and if you want to walk to the main street to Ubud center was also near and they provide free Shuttle service in overall it was a great experience
