Parigata Resort & Spa4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed a week at Parigata Resort & Spa and had a great time. The hotel facilities, services, free wifi, top quality breakfast buffet, room sizes and furnishings, pool, restaurant quality and entertainment, location in Sanur (just a minute walk to the beach and a minute walk to the shops), etc are top quality; and all this for a very affordable price. Top value for money in Sanur in my view.
This is a very well run resort that deserves it's five stars for cleanliness and efficiency of the staff. Everything is easily accessible and the food is good in each of the restaurants. This is reflected in the price however as is the price of alcoholic drinks. I would not recommend taking the half board package as this also turned out to be an expensive option for us. Apart from that it is a great place.
Nice location down a lane, so it is very quite from street noise. Old style resort that does need a definite refurbishment. Our room needed 2 lots of maintenance, dripping air-con and running toilet. However, these things were fixed immediately. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant had deliciously tender Australian beef, but it took so long to get meals as they were doing lots of room service. Staff were very apologetic also which I appreciated. Pool was fine and perfect for children. Would I stay there again....not sure really, especially when a friend was in another hotel across the street which was amazingly furnished and new and was paying less per night than what we were.
Our 1st visit to Bali, we spent almost 3 weeks at the Parigata. Great hotel in an ideal location, couple of minutes either way to beach/main street but quiet despite close proximity to the main street. We booked a package which included airport transfers, massage and a day trip, well worth it. The staff were helpful and friendly from the minute we arrived until departure. I corresponded with the hotel (Juni) in advance and was allocated the room I requested, middle room on the 3rd floor. Rooms are spacious and well maintained, bathrooms are also large. I don't think a refurbishment would add anything, one could pick out minor faults that required a little attention but none of these affected our enjoyment of the facilities. Rooms were clean and towels changed every day. The balcony was fantastic, could easily seat 4 people, we finished most evenings sitting in the dark on the balcony enjoying a Bintang! Breakfasts were very good and catered for all with plenty of choice, we found the Indonesian breakfasts tasty. Our only disappointment with the food was the buffet on Nyepi Day which we found bland. I done a broadband check from the balcony and was surprised to find the speed was only slightly slower than I enjoy here in UK! Rooms 305 and 308 I suspect will receive best wifi speeds. Beach club is only a 10-15 minute pleasant walk from the hotel, or short trip on the shuttle. The usual attendant at the beach club did a wonderful job in keeping the beach clean. Ok some of the beds and towels were beginning to show a little wear but taking into account they are used continuously this is not unexpected, from my experience I would rate these facilities as above average. Unfortunately the sea has a lot of seaweed but from what I saw all the beaches in this area were the same. Other than Nyepi Day we always relaxed at the beach club. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Parigata and if I return to Bali I would stay here. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!
It is a quiet hotel having a good localization close to the center of sanur and to the sea, nice breakfast, clean room, the staff is really kind, warm and helpfull...and a swimming pool with long chairs positioned to have shade and also sun. I didn't try the restaurant.
We stayed on the first floor which we liked. There may be a view of the ocean from the top floor. Ground floor opens onto the pool area which some people may find lacks privacy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pleasant surroundings and very central to beach and shops.
Our 3rd stay at the Parigata. Love the location. So close to great restaurants and bars. Value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing negative to stay it was all great and will definitely be back again
Nice quiet hotel close to the beach and some great alternative eateries are close by. There is a decent supermarket about 200 metres up to road where you can get your supplies at a reasonable price. There was a good selection for breakfast (cooked to order eggs/omelettes and a bay Marie). The bed was a bit hard but the room size was great, the staff were friendly and all rooms have a balcony overlooking a great pool. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here in September 2002 (wow, 16 years ago) and from what I can see from our non-digital pictures back then, the place hasn't changed much - and that's a good thing. It really is a beautiful hotel, the fauna in around the pool area is great. Rooms are beautifully furnished. Close to a good beach. The old fella playing traditional music in the lobby/chill out area of hotel was excellent.
Parigata is right next to the beach. The pool and grounds are surrounded by lush flowers and beautiful landscaping. Our room was lovely, comfortable, and very clean, and we enjoyed the private balcony overlooking the pool area. The breakfast was also very nice. My husband and I took advantage of the discounted couples massage included with the room price, and we enjoyed it very much! This hotel is an excellent value for the money. I felt like royalty in this beautiful place.
