The Parigata Resort & Spa is a small resort ... 5 buildings in total, one is the lobby, restaurant, bar, etc with a couple of suites on top, the other 4 are 3 story buildings with 3 rooms per floor ... there is no elevator if that is important to you. An older property but fairly well maintained, in fact there were some reno’s underway while I was there, nothing that negatively affected the guest experience. The buildings form a courtyard around the pool where you will find loungers, I never had a problem finding a free one, pool towels are provided. There is a walkway to the beach that takes maybe 3 minutes however that is just to non-maintained beach, if you want to go to the “beach club” you will have to walk south for 10 minutes … the beach club really isn’t anything more than a few loungers with some drink stands nearby … and yes there are vendors along the pathway … but there are vendors everywhere in Bali so you just have to get used to ignoring them. The pathway along the beach is a paving block pathway, a nice walking path that goes both north and south, I never did reach the ends … again, many vendors along the way but usually they leave you alone when you show no interest. When I was there the majority of the guests were Canadian, British, Australian or German. The staff speak English, some better than others, I had little problem communicating. Oh, and fair warning … I was going to say this resort was quaint and quiet ... however in the latter days of our stay 3 families arrived with small kids and it was quite noisy. The resort is not adults only, so if you want a quiet place you might want to look elsewhere. I think being a small resort the noise is more impactful than in the larger AI type resorts. Highlighted points: • The staff are genuine and friendly • The resort itself is nice, well cleaned and the grounds are beautifully kept • Rooms have a fridge and safe but that’s about it for extras, you get 2 small bottles of water a day, the rest you buy yourself (Hardy’s seemed to have the best price) • Altho this is not an all-inclusive, in my package breakfast was included and turns out it was great, lots of choice and they have an egg station where you can have a fresh omelet or scramble if you wish • Pretty quiet at nights, this is not a party place, you have to go off resort and make your own fun • Lots of restaurants just outside the resort … Indonesian, Thai, Japanese • Hardy’s Supermarket is an easy 5 minute walk, there you can get water, food, clothing, craft stuff, pretty much everything you might need • About the only things I found that could use improvement were ... the wifi, its up and down and slow, works most of the time but gets frustrating ... the TV is tiny, I have a bigger computer monitor at home and channel selection is quite limited. All in all a good choice if you want a small resort style place to stay in Bali, enjoy.
The Parigata is a great little hotel in the heart of Sanur just off the beach but close to everything, shopping, beach, restaurants (street and beach). The hotel has a good ambiance and well equipped with friendly and helpful staff. About 500m from the beach but they have a special section of beach just up the beach path (15 mins walk or catch the free shuttle). Breakfast is OK - mainly western. WIFI is Ok most of the time but slow in the late afternoon or evening when everybody is back at the hotel. Mornings OK and always got good reception around the pool. Superior room was fine - tidy and comfortable with good size veranda (we were on ground floor). Would definitely stay there again and recommend.
Just returned from a 5 night stay at Parigata Hotel and had a wonderful time. It is a pleasure to stay here. The staff are so helpful, friendly and professional. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless and the pool and gardens are beautiful. The bathrooms are a little dated but for the price I regard The Parigata as extremely good value. We have stayed here about 4 times. Position close to the beach, shops and restaurants is perfect. In summary this hotel is a perfect example of beautiful Balinese hospitality and service and I send my thanks to all the lovely staff.
A nice, clean hotel. Rooms are pretty average and nothing special, and unfortunately there was a damp smell in our room when the a/c was on - But all in all the room was good. Restaurant was good with a lot of choices. Breakfast buffet was standard. The beach club was good - free for guests. Staff very nice and helpful. Not enough sun beds in the sun at pool. Close to a great selection of restaurants and shops.
My family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights and we thought it was excellent! The staff were always bright and cheery. Great value for money. If you want 5 star then pay a fortune elsewhere. The decor is a little old but location, price and service are excellent! Highly recommended for a cheap stay in the heart of Sanur
Location is everything-walk down the paved alley (right beside the hotel) to Sanur Beach to find awesome restaurants and great shopping! Walk to the street out front and take your pick from many spas ($7.50 for a Thai Massage-to die for!) restaurants or drinking/entertainment establishments! Hotel staff will bend over backwards to help you with anything you might need and the complimentary breakfasts are delicious offering traditional Bali breakfasts and North American breakfasts-you’ll never go hungry! Order poolside for lunch and enjoy the water. We were so happy with this beautiful hotel and would highly recommend it for couples or Families
We had a very pleasant stay at Parigata ... the staff are excellent and very helpful. Location is right in the middle of Sanur with supermarkets like Hardys, Coco express and many good resto-bars nearby.... It may not be right at the beach but hardly far..just a 5 min walk. Also, the beach club is quite nice...good service & facilities. Overall, 5 star ratings for hospitality.
The hotel deserves the rating for its superb Balinese hospitality. The rooms are pleasant, clean and very roomy (good enough for a family of 2+2).The open balcony facing the pool adds to the charm. Bathrooms are large with tubs and excellent amenities. The pool was one of the best I have dived into, clean and lively. Restaurant has a very nice breakfast menu. Food quality and pricing for lunch / dinner was also good. It has a 2 min walk secluded walkway going towards the beach and a beach club for lounging around (i didn't get the time to use the beach club though) The best thing however was the cooperative and ever smiling staff. Every query and request was met with a wide smile. I would like to compliment Suratini (hope I have spelled it correctly) who was the front desk executive when I checked in. She was the first person we interacted with in Bali and she absolutely played an ambassadors role in making us welcome in a new country (an experience we encountered across Bali during our trip). Would definitely recommend to fellow tourists looking for a relaxed stay.
Nice staff, solid breakfast, bathroom and furnishings can be renewed. Do not book a shuttle to the airport at the hotel. You will not be driven in the beautiful cars of the hotel. The staff order a driver from the street. You can do it yourself and get cheaper.
