room is clean and comfortable but AC is too cold, staff's knowledge is good to give information about hotel, and we would like to return in next trip. At breakfast menu should be more variation on menu.
We have booked 4bedrooms at Mercure Hotel Nusa Dua for family holiday. The room is small and more like city hotel, instead of resort hotel. The hotel need more maintenance. They provide shuttle car to nusa dua beach. If they could provide bigger car or bus will be better. The breakfast is average, not much food variations. Thank you.
The hotel is in a walled complex, with its own security and privacy area. Rooms either face the town or swimming pools. A great hotel to unwind for some rest and relaxation. The hotel has it's own extensive grounds, a spa, gym and a number of swimming pools area, with the adult pool on an upper level and the children's pools below. There is a waterfall feature between the two. Both pools are not really very deep. In the adult one the most depth is only 1.5M. If it's a beach you crave then a shuttle service to the beach runs from the hotel to the beach The hotel is in its own walled grounds with a security station so very secure. Rooms either face the garden area or the swimming pools. There is an adult pool on a first floor level, with children pools on the ground floor level and a novel waterfall feature between the two. If it's sand you want then a shuttle service runs every 30 minutes from early morning till 1800. The shuttle will also drop you at Bali Collection a walled complex of designer shops and restaurants. Be aware though that the advertised return to the hotel rarely turns up. On my visits to the complex I have yet to see the advertised return from Bali collection to the hotel. If you know where you are in the complex it's not too far from the complex to the beach for the regular shuttle return. However if it's advertised it should turn up. The hotel is not really suitable for guests with limited mobility. There are many stairs and level differences so not suitable for wheelchair users. The morning breakfast is a buffet breakfast with a good selection of fresh fruit, mueseli, cereals and cold selection. There is also a hot selection of eggs to order, whether boiled, fried or omelettes with various fillings and a daily changing accompanied selection of beef and chicken sausages, potatoes, tomatoes and beans. As well as local offerings. The selection is however halal, so if you are looking for the Great British Breakfast then you are out of luck, since some items are not available here. However an excellent offering, all the same. Sadly the evening meals offering is not up to the high Mercure standards. With a limited selection available and poor quality. The main items available are around 12 types of pizza. However the quality of these compared to the real Italian pizza is nothing like the real thing. I'm convinced that the pizza Base is fried rather than baked in the pizza oven since the Base does not rise like the real Italian pizza. Fillings are poor too and seem to lack any tomato sauce on the Base. Other than pizza there was is a beef steak and a tuna steak. There also is a chicken cordon blue, which again seems to not resemble the real thing. Sadly lacks any ham not even turkey ham. The main local item offered is Nasi Goring. This is a Bali signature dish of egg fried rice, with diced chicken and a fish flavouring. However what is offered is boiled rice, no fish stock and a chicken leg, which looks like a leftover from KFC. It's quite noticeable that the many customers who take breakfast then fail to appear in the hotel restaurant for the evening poor offering. Many guests go to down town to the many restaurants with free transport provided to and from your hotel. Prices in these restaurants too are much more attractive as is the quality offered. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and some computer are also available. There is also a desk in the main reception which will book a selection of trips to local attractions. Such a shame that the evening restaurants offering brings down the high Mercure standards.
Off to dinner for a pizza and a bottle of wine, we thought. Sorry, the wine we wanted was not available, so, ordered two glasses of another. One looked and tasted like a cab sauv, the other, a shiraz. Strange. After 45 minutes the pizzas arived after a leisurely tour of the dining rom by the poor waiter who had no idea who or where we were. My half meat and half seafood had the meat, but indeterminate taste on the other half. Sorry Mercure, not up to your usual standard.
The garden is superb. They have a few pools, we didn't got a chance to try, but it's so tempting. Buffet breakfast are standard. Check in and check out are okay. Hospitality of the staff are standard. Shuttle to the beach is okay. The hotel room comes with separate toilet and shower, with basin outside. The toilet and shower doors don't have lock, a bit risky if you stay with young kids, they can easily pop in while you're doing your business. The room floor is always have a sticky feeling, eventhough after the daily cleaning. I booked 2 rooms and both are the same. The extra pillow I request have a very bad smell. And also the phone in the room. Overall, it's not what I expected from a well known hotel. I've ever stay in other novotel and mercure, this one is the lowest in term of service and cleanliness.
The check in process was excellent. I didn't have to wait to long The bed room was good but the bathroom wasn't that spacious. When I entered the room it was very cold. it's not that I don't like but it was way to cold. Since it was Ramadan, I switch the breakfast into Sahur. The sahur menu was great. The wifi was good. I like the landscape of this hotel.
We stayed for 4 days from 22nd May to 26th May 17 Our room was a junior suite and the rooms were well designed . Check in took minimum time and the staff around were helpful and smiling Breakfast had a vast spread but a bit monotonous after two days. poolside bar was less crowded and complimentary nuts were very ordinary spa was used by my wife and daughter and they found it good and relaxing and the charges were nominal Taxi you get by informing reception and the service was prompt only the wooded floors in the rooms get wet once the AC is off and it needs to be checked overall it was a memorable stay with the ever smiling staff
We stayed a few days the staff were very friendly and helpful the breakfasts --all you can eat and drink --good coffee, comfortable rooms but a bit dated , free hotel shuttle to the hotel private island beach --beautiful, cabanas & bar icy drinks so good! Beautiful manicured gardens ,nice pools & bar & good price 1 night we went to the restaurant-- very disappointing otherwise we enjoyed our stay best part was the staff -- all lovely people
Yes we were very happy with Mercure nusa dua, the staff were friendly, hotel very clean and in all my daughter and I had a very nice stay, we had a private driver called wayan Jnr who came and picked us up and took us where we wanted to go....
Need improvement at service, room was clean, swimming pool was nice, at least everything was ok. Need more attention for the service, but staying in the mercure nusa dua is the best choice when you staying in Bali.
