We had a great time again staying in a villa at this hotel. We have stayed here many times before and will be staying here again next year. We enjoyed the benefits of the Level and it was really nice to see a lot of familiar faces. Yuli and her team make a real difference - thanks to Yuli, Sunarini, Doni, Ayu and the rest of the team for once again making our holiday very enjoyable. Chris & Karen.
I have just returned from three nights in the Melia Bali and can only describe the hotel and surroundings as paradise. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff that went out of their way to make the sort stay enjoyable. The room was immaculate, the food superb and I certainly hope it will not be too long before I can return for a longer stay.
Melia Bali is a large hotel with large pool and grounds. Our suite was exceptional and really loved it - normal table and chairs on balcony plus chaise lounge which was very relaxing. Bathroom was good, toiletries excellent, hairdryer excellent. Lovely mezzanine floor with four poster bed. Nice beach - only thing could say against it is Cabanas are reserved on private part of beach for the special Melia guests - there is an upgraded villa section. Breakfast extensive and unfaultable - we were leaving at time of breakfast opening but the hotel was quite happy for us to go in half hour early, we expected to get fruit juice and fruit/pastries but the staff were quite happy to serve us tea and omelette - the service was impeccable - would very happily return to this hotel
This is our second visit to Melia Bali in the last 3 months. We stayed for 9 wonderful days in the Level area and decided to go all-inclusive this time in order to make the high priced cocktails in Bali more acceptable. The food is delicious and there is plenty of variety as there are 5 restaurants to chose from. Since this was our third visit to Bali, and because we had seen most of the main attractions, we spent the majority of our time in the resort. I highly recommend the Level area which offers you a more intimate and personalized service including private access pool away from the regular pool which is less busy and much more quiet, separate check-in/out area, free cocktail hours and tea/coffee time. The hotel is filled with amazing scenery, well maintained grounds and plenty of greenery. Staff is constantly cleaning and working to preserve the area, although we have not encountered any loud construction works during any of our two visits. Although Melia is truly a 5 star resort, the staff at the hotel is what brought us back. Their constant happiness, pleasant attitude and going above their call of duty is what makes the resort special. I would like to thank Yogi at the beach bar for his wonderful service, Santi and Deva Ayu at the Level lounge area for their speedy service, Krenjiin (apologies if I misspelled your name) the young intern from the Netherlands in the breakfast area who constantly asked about customer service and was always interested in receiving feedback in order to seek improvement in the future, and all the other countless staff whom we have encountered and have ensured that our stay was memorable. I would like to especially thank Yuli, the Level area manager, who helped us from the beginning when we made our reservation directly through her until the end. It really is remarkable to see her each day going up to all Level area guests individually and ensuring that their stay was as good as it could be. Her constant smiling and her can-do attitude made us feel like we’re in safe hands. I would also like to separately thank Darma from the Level pool area. This is one of Melia’s most valuable employees, and I hope management reads this and takes note. Darma’s service each and every morning is truly outstanding. He addresses all Level guests by family name, takes the time to exchange pleasantries each and every morning with them and is a speedy and efficient staff member. We were truly amazed on our first day that he remembered our names after having met us once three months prior. His smile is infectious and ensures that all guests are always well taken care of.
Yet again the Melia staff continue to excel.....I am finding it hard to comment without repeating my previous reviews of this marvellous Hotel with it's fabulous gardens and facilities. Our treatment was wonderful, the room splendid and the facilities 1st class. The food presentation has improved and the quality is consistent. The staff in the restaurants are excellent, especially at breakfast in the Sorrento. The WHI spa looked after my wife and I with 1st class service. As usual the Level team were excellent with Yuliastini leading the way. The inclusion of Darma and David at the Level pool has worked very well indeed. The Lounge bar staff led by Made are second to none. The boys in Blue also work very hard to please the guests.. Congratulations to a well managed hotel....see you next year!
Was recommended by friends to stay at the Meliá Bali. We stayed in Seminyak first then came to Nusa Dua which gave us the best of both worlds. First impressions of the Meliá Bali is very impressive. The lobby is gorgeous. Overall this was a very good hotel, the customer service was exceptional and not once did we pass a member of staff who didn't greet us. Breakfast was good but could have been better maybe we were spoiled with our first hotel. Pros Stunning hotel grounds - beautifully kept gardens Private beach - no sellers Excellent customer service Good rooms with everything you need. Cons : If you are not on an all inclusive board then it will be VERY expensive to eat and drink at the hotel. Which is a let down of the hotel, if the prices were lower people would stay there. However the Bali Collection is located next door and you can walk there within 10 minutes and have access to a wide range of restaurants at literally half of the price. So If you are considering this hotel I would look at the cost of all inclusive. However having said that I am glad we didn't go all inclusive as we liked the autonomy of experiencing different places for food. Not feeling governed by the hotel and not wanting to leave. There are different levels of the hotel guests and there is an entire pool secluded for "level guests" which in my opinion is wasted as every day there were hardly any people there. This would be better used allowing all guests to have access. On the whole we had a fantastic stay at the Meliá Bali and would definitely recommend to others.
I have so many really great memories of this. I visited Melia this July with my family. I have to say that we chose a perfect place for our family activities as the hotel has our own beach, with all the pool facilities and other thing. My girls also loved movie night and afternoons dance activities. My wife loved yoga every morning. Basically we all had a great time with so many activities inside the hotel.
Beautiful pools and great location right on the beach. The beach was the best we swam in, in Bali, crystal clear and refreshing. The service was wonderful and the staff helpful and kind. The breakfast buffet was a great inclusion. The room was lovely, we had a four poster bed in a loft and the kids had comfortable beds downstairs. We also overlooked a pool so the kids could swim in the quiet pool as we watched them from the balcony. The pirate cafe is just around the corner on the beach, with great cheap food and tree houses to eat in. The Bali Collection is just at the back of the resort if you are into Mall shopping. Overall great stay.
In Bali you could find much more cheaper and better places to stay. The biggest problem in our case were air condition system with its bad smell in the room and very high humidity in the room. After complains about the smell the staff just came with the spray by showing its incompetents by solving this problem, because it seems there is a need either to clean the system or totally to replace it.
It was a great experience to stay in Meli-Bali hotel. The welcoming was fantastic so do the check out. Everybody were very friendly and helpful during the whole stay. I would recommend it to everybody who would like to enjoy the noce clean shore side so do as easily handleable tour guides whos understand the meaning of no. Thank you very much again for the great experience and see you next year :)
