Legian Paradiso Hotel

My friend and I booked this hotel as part of a package deal. The pictures looked good however on arrival it was obvious that this hotel is in much need of a refurbishment. it's 'very' basic.. Very old school feel to it. I felt the pictures shown were a tad misleading as it's much more old fashioned than we expected. The breakfast was also very limited - eggs, breads and 3 types of fruit. Tea/coffee/ juice that was tasteless. We stayed a few nights but then decided to check out and move to a more modern comfortable hotel down the road with a fantastic breakfast included.. for only £23p/n.. even though we had paid for 2 weeks in the Paradiso in our package deal. I have no criticism of the staff as they were always friendly and helpful. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. In my opinion it's definitely worth paying a bit more and having a hotel room that you look forward to rather than dread going back to.

Absolutely run down , booked by travel agent , worst resort , checked out within an hour after finding a 4* hotel , run down , dirty and smelly , so dated .. never again , you can get better by paying a little more

We booked to stay at Legian Paradiso for 10 nights in march but decided to go elsewhere for our final few nights even though we were unable to get a refund. My main issues with our room was that it was poorly lit, had some horrible smell coming from the drain in the bathroom and constantly had mosquitoes. We went through a can and a half of fly spray in our 7 nights yet every time we turned on the lights there were more mossies visible. At some times of the day hot water in the shower took 3-5 minutes, although in the morning it would only take a minute . We ate the breakfast only once and checked it out on the other days and wasn't overly impressed, we ended up going down the street and visiting some local coffee shops. The pool area was nice enough if the music wasn't blaring and there wasn't too many people about. When it was half full or more I really did not enjoy this area. Many of the other guests would smoke in and around the pool so it was very uncomfortable with a 2yr old who we try to keep away from cigarettes. The staff were generally very nice and I don't like giving a hotel a poor rating however this was a bad booking for a family like ours for 10 days. Should we have stayed for only a few nights or had been childless my review would have been different.

Stayed here for one night before an early morning flight... the first warning sign should have been a sign on the reception desk warning residents against bringing guns and firecrackers into the hotel grounds. Our room was dirty (to the point that there was trash from the previous occupants under the beds), smelt, everything needed cleaning (there were bugs all through the room) we didn't have towels and the room was generally really dark, depressing and in need of work. When I drew back the sheets of bed there were BLOOD STAINS all over the sheets - even if they had been washed it would have been clear to housekeeping they were there. The place doesn't look anything like the pictures. To cap it all, the next morning when we went to check out the staff accused us of running up a mini bar bill and tried to stop us from leaving before it was paid. Only virtue of it is that it's cheap and close to the beach and airport.

Loved the little separate houses, rooms were nice and with big balconies. Excellent location. Very courteous & friendly staff, helped us to find our missing luggages. We had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

By far the best holiday we've had so far.... as always the staff remember the kids and our names when we walked in. The room we had was a single room, but we asked for a single bed also (king plus a single). The air con works fantastic (we turn ours off). The food is always spectacular and delicious. The pool is clean and pool bar staff are great. I would have to say that we will always come back here as we get treated like family each and every time, nothing is too much for the staff here.

While the service we received at Legian Paradiso was adequate, the facilities themselves are in dire need of some care. The airconditioners in two separate rooms leaked and are not sufficient for the Bali heat (we had to move to another room after a few days so had some experience), the rooms are dirty, shower heads old and blocked, toilets do not flush properly and there is a general grime about the surfaces. The restaurant 'Bloody Sweet' had dead seafood in the tanks and the burger we ordered for room service, cold bun with bones in the patty and no sauce. The pool and bar are great bar the ant problem and location is good if looking for the legian street buzz. Staff are friendly and the spa wonderful if more expensive than close rivals.

We stayed in Legian for 4 days and this was a great location to be in the middle of wherever we wanted to move. The beach was a 10-15min walk and the Lippo Mall about 5-7min walk where there is a supermarket and loads of restaurants to choose from. Real convenient, clean hotel with a beautiful pool. The breakfast wasn't the best interms of variety but fresh. Rooms were average but very clean. Overall we had a great stay there!

5th time I have used Legion Paradiso and always feel very welcome. The staff are most friendly and they cannot do enough to assist you in enjoying the comforts of this older style hotel. Forget the High and mighty Hotels, Legion Paradiso will always be my destination when travelling to Bali

I booked for 4 days at Legian Paradiso, after staying there a few times, the service was once again excellent, friendly staff, the breakfast was delicious and the room was very clean. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants and shops, supermarket next door is great. I had an incident where my driver for the airport let me down at the last minute, Putri and Mary were so helpful in arranging alternative transport for me, thank you ladies, you really helped me out!! All my needs were catered for, even though the hotel was busy the staff were attentive, always smiling and ready to help. I would highly recommend Legian Paradiso!
