My friends and I enjoyed our stay here. It's very cosy and laid back. The gardens are stunning. The staff are very friendly and they go all out to make your stay as pleasant as possible. And it's central.
The hotel is situated v conveniently near shops and restaurants and not too far from Malls as well as Seminyak which is really nice. With regret the beach is more than a ten minute walk as advertised. The standard room was not good but management were great and upgraded us without paying extra. Pool although clean was small but not too busy. Management and staff very friendly and helpful.
We just keep coming back year after year and always have the best time, with the beautiful staff & of course George who is there for everyone, does his best to make everyone comfortable. This place isn't 5 star but it's central to everything, for walking.
We stayed here for our 10 day holiday and found the hotel to be clean and the grounds picturesque. The rooms are adequate and serviced everyday. I had a problem with the air-con which was fixed promptly. The meals in the restaurant "Bloody Sweet" were very good for the price and the staff especially Merry were always very pleasant and courteous. The manager on the other hand would try and pressure you into doing outside activities organised by him which I found in itself very off putting.
Stayed here for 10 nights bathrooms were clean and room was serviced everyday, breakfast was okay if you just want something simple. Staff are lovely especially Merry who is always happy to help. The only downfall i found was the manager was very pushy in trying to get us to do activities outside of the hotel organised by him. Overall 3 stars
Stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel was reasonable and the staff couldn't do enough for you. We travelled as 2 couples and had pool side interconnecting rooms. This worked well for us. Do not take up the breakfast or dinner options. These are very much below average for the price. Pros: Close to restaurants and clubs, hotel is set back from the road so very little noise. Cons: Breakfast/Dinner. Anyway. Live and learn. We won't be returning.
We visited the Hotel in October 2016 before we made our booking. The staff were very friendly and we decided to give it a go. Firstly let me say that I realise the Legian Paradiso Hotel is an older hotel in Bali, however, my comments do not relate to this issue. We had a group of 6 guests, spread over three rooms. . Two groups of guests stayed for 10 nights and one group stayed for 6 nights. We were only able to have one key per room, and that meant we had to get Reception to get housekeeping to let us in if we didn’t return at the same time. In one of the rooms the fridge had been left open, and one of the small cupboard doors was actually hanging off its hinges, not a pleasant start. The staff came and removed the cupboard door and cleaned around the fridge. This fridge did not get cold enough throughout the guests 6 day stay. In our room the fridge was so cold that we had a can of cool drink (which was in the door) explode. It was excellent for cold beers. In the third room there was no problem with the fridge. The third room had problems with ants, and our room had sand flies. We both purchased fly spray to use. However, housekeeping was very poor. On our first 3-4 days our room was cleaned in the mornings, then this changed and our room was not cleaned until very late in the afternoon. On several occasions we had to request the room be cleaned so that we could get ready to go out. We were not supplied with any hand towels at all. Toiletries supplied were not replaced regularly. It was interesting that the supplied shampoo/conditioner and bath gel, used once and left on the side of the bath was put back in their box of supplies as if it was new? but not topped up or replaced. I also found that the breakfast selection was very basic. The tea and coffee were only drinkable if you have it black. Salad selection only consisted of lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The bacon was extremely fatty and of the poorest quality. The Bloody Sweet Restaurant connected to the Hotel has a large selection of food but with the ++ you are paying prices higher than we do in Perth. Will not chose this Hotel again.
This is not the normal type of place we stay in Bali , but we had 10 people coming with us all we're on a budget . 5 , 21 year lads , but we were pleasantly surprised. It's an older Balinese style hotel , but the room are clean & tidy. Breakfast is average not much of a verity , but for the price you pay to stay its good. The only thing you have to realise is you are stay right in the heart of Legian , so once you step out of your resort you are in the thick of things. Which was great for us with all the young ones we had taken to Bali. George the manager is fantastic and makes every guest feel extremely welcome. Just remember this is an older hotel but great if you only want a cheap Bali holiday.
Had 5 nights at the Legian Paradiso Hotel and it was a pleasurable experience. I upgraded to a superior room and asked for a quiet area. The hotel has two main sections, one surrounding the pool and the other surrounding central garden. I as in the garden area. The whole hotel was clean and spacious. My room was large and had everything I needed. The bathroom is looking a little tired but it was clean and perfectly functional. The pool area was a really nice place to spend a few hours, either reading, talking, having a drink or even swimming. The pool water was crystal clear. I had breakfast included in my deal. There was limited choice but I enjoyed what I had. If you want eggs and bacon etc you would need to go somewhere else. The hotel is very central to Kuta, 10 to 15 minutes from the beach. I felt very comfortable there. The staff were friendly and helpful and I dint have any problems with the free wifi.
Checked out early as it was noisy - an important temple next door. There were ceremonies on Night 1 of the stay that we had booked. One other main issue was the toys- kids with lasers and BB guns on the 2nd floor. Not my kind of entertainment so we felt it was best to look elsewhere where my youngest wasn't targeted. Positives: Central, and plenty "Bali" style shops if that's what you want. Handy to many restaurants, and not too far from the beach. Beer over the bar at the front was icy cold although the "happy hour" was a myth, and I paid full tote when I got the bill to check out. Negatives- per above and the hotel is old and needs some lightening up, but a reasonable price for what we got. Perhaps one of the cheapest in Legian on the weekend we were there. Water, loo, AC worked. Clean, towels a little tattered.
