Had the most amazing time with my family! We stayed in a 2-Suite pool villa. The attention to detail all around the resort is very impressive. The hotel staff were great and that’s what makes a hotel! Our villa was spotless. Everything about our stay was just fun and memorable. The hotel is aging but still has amazing grounds and features.
First time have floating breakfast what is an excellent experiences with family. Has great service with Balinese staff his name mahardika. Very hinges recemended place to stay in bali with family or just enjoying the view and very private place.
The resort was absolutely beautiful, the staff were amazingly helpful and the food was great. There is a real attention to detail all around the resort. The free shuttle bus into the town is also perfect!
Very exceptional resort with great service food and surrounds. The personnel including Cokocar and Agus were fantastic. The food was also very good every meal. Pools were excellent as was the drinks in or at the main pool.
Our stay at Kamandalu was simply amazing! Our wedding and honeymoon were coordinated flawlessly, the accommodations were superb and the service we received was personalized and authentic. We were planning for over 8 months with Kamandalu and the response and follow-up were timely, detailed and succinct- which we were very pleased with. The Sales Director Gregorious and the staff members Purti, Widara, Artha, Suya, and Eka were exceptional and made our stay that much more memorable. We will definitely return to have more cherished memories of Bali.
I have been coming to Bali for many years and Kamandalu was one of the first high resorts. This is an authentic traditional resorts that encompasses ~ 10 acres of lush green rice fields and palm trees. It is designed like a traditional Balinese village. The staff were very friendly and helpful and every detail is addressed. After a week of complete peace and tranquility, I have to go back to the real world today.....I miss it already.
We have just returned from a Luxury Escapes holiday at the Kamandalu. We loved it! The entrance, friendly staff and large villa looking out of the mini rice field towards the resort main building was impressive. Only 1 1/2 hrs maximum from the airport and we were in total relaxation mode by the pool. Lots of steps and the bed was huge - the biggest bed we had ever slept in anywhere. The downside was that the bed was so high they had a step to hop up into it. You would have trouble if you weren't agile enough to manage that. Outdoor shower was fantastic, warm air and great water flow with greenery all around you. The very best part was the complimentary hour massage as part of the deal - the Indonesian massage was incredible - the best one we have ever had in our 6 trips to Balli to date. So good we booked another 90 minute one each for the next day!
The Kamandalu is wow factor all over. Highly recommend for couples, they have many activities suited for romantic adventures. On arrival we received the picnic lunch amongst the rice paddies, so beautiful and felt very special. The resort is set amongst a rice terrace / rice paddies, it's kept very traditional Balinese, jungle style, which is fantastic to see, many establishments on Bali are ultra modern, we thoroughly enjoyed the cultural feel. The food served in the restaurants was 10/10. The service again was 10/10. Our villa with private infinity pool overlooking the backdrop of the Ubud jungle was spectacular, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning, the pastel colours of the sky turn to the golden rays of sun flowing into the luscious green jungle all around. Highly recommend the romantic forrest dinner, this is certainly one of a kind and my partner and I have never done something so special and romantic, truly was breath taking! Cannot fault the resort in any way, from the moment I stepped onto the premises I was taking photo after photo, it's a photographers dream. If you're looking for a wedding venue in a traditional Balinese, jungle style, this is most certainly your place.
I had a delightful experience at Kamandalu just over a week ago with my boyfriend. We had a pool villa which was beautiful. The view of the sunrise from our private cabana truly took my breath away and the staff were lovely. The room decor is slightly dated but still very nice. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, there was a lot to choose from, it changed a bit every day and everything was pretty tasty.... but for some reason, whenever we ate anything else at the hotel that was not from the breakfast buffet, it was absolutely disgusting. We did the picnic lunch on the little row boat, which was a great experience because we got to feed the fish and the staff member that joined us was so nice and interesting to talk to, however the food was inedible. Another time we thought it would be nice to order room service because it was raining and miserable outside. We already knew that it probably wasn't going to be fantastic but we thought that maybe if we ordered Indonesian dishes, we'd probably have a higher chance of it being good. However, we were extremely disappointed. The noodles were a foul tasting gluggy slop and the duck was all dried up and shrivelled, I literally hurt my tooth trying to bite it. Apart from that I really do recommend this hotel, there are so many fantastic restaurants and things to do in Ubud you shouldn't waste all your time sitting at the hotel anyway!!
We stayed in the Ubud Chalet which is a luxurious villa with the most amazing bed I have ever slept in. I felt like a real princess. :-) Kamandulu is a breathtaking spacious hotel situated in the beautiful hills of Ubud and surrounded by rice fields. Everything here is absolutely fantastic - the staff, the food, and of course the infinity pool. Truly luxurious retreat far away for the noisy parts of Bali.
