we were there unfortunately just one nice, but as was our last day in Bali we did enjoy the hotel a lot!! The pool is amazing with a little jacuzzi on the top, the decoration is like you are in the jungle and super nice. Best of all was the Spa and its amazing stuff which treat you like you are in the heaven, best massage and pedicure ever in Bali and just for 6 €!!! Just once advice, avoid the bungalows, the are quite old and the bathroom is outside, although you have walls, no ceiling so al the insects and stuff will be with you on your shower or toilet time :S. just book a room with pool view and you will be safe! The restaurant is quite nice to, with healthy fresh juices and a nice menu, and the buffet breakfast was included and also quite good, they prepare on the moment pancakes and egg as you want! Amazing stuff in the restaurant and the spa, people of front desk doesn't care too much.
great hotel for the price.....very clean...air con wonderful..close to Mataharis in Kuta...maybe 10 minutes to beach.....Staff just wonderful...we had a deluxe room...very nice..beds so comfortable would stay again
We stayed in Ida Hotel for 5 days in a Balinese Double bungalow. Pros: The pool was large and deep, there was a spa/massage service in the hotel, 24h reception, staff were polite and helpful, OK location close to Kuta Square, Poppies restaurant and the beach. Cons: Our room was dirty when we checked in, the room was dark and more than a little dingy, it was supposed to be a bungalow but had a second floor above us with other guests, there were no safes in the rooms (though there is a safety deposit box at the reception), poor breakfasts (an egg station was the only redeeming feature) but otherwise not very enjoyable, WiFi was elusive and not particularly good.
Was really great and a nice relaxing place ! Very clean rooms with nice breakie with restaurant serving a good meal a night after a "long" day at pool !! Lol. Have booked again for November 2017 and can't wait !!
This was a pretty standard hotel, nothing special, with only the pool area standing out as nice to look at. But the wifi was pretty crappy, the milk at breakfast was spoiled, we had ants and a cockroach in our room, and someone unexpectedly came to spray pesticides for mosquitos while we were at the pool and it made huge clouds- not safe for one's health! Also, the main guy at reception was very cold and somewhat rude.
We always stay here on the way back from Bali as it is a cheap stay for half a day, prior to flying out at midnight. The pool is great, the restaurant is great, and it is just around the corner for last minute shopping at Matahari. We will come back again!
We've stayed here twice (8 years apart) and the service is still great with clean, comfortable rooms, a clean pool, small buffet breakfast and restaurant meals and bar. Even though the property backs on to the department store in Kuta Square, it's very quiet. An easy walk to restaurants, beach and shopping. Great spot for a quiet break for those not needing to party hard! Be fine for families with children under about 7yrs.
Traditional Balinese building in a tranquil garden setting. Comfortable and clean rooms. Not much facilities but with much to do around that area you wouldn't want to spend too much time in the hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants/cafes nearby and the beach is within easy walking distance. I particularly liked Made's Warung for its BBQ pork spareribs. Recommended for a short relaxing stay.
We stayed here in June this place is a little a gem in the middle of Kuta. The staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely and clean fresh towels provided everyday couldn't of asked for more.
Our holiday was booked for a spa resort in the middle of island, well away from the crowds, the Macdonald’s, the Hard Rock Cafe and everything else that makes the main Bali holiday areas what they are - holiday paradise for some, but purgatory for others. We’re definitely in that second group. However… Our flight arrived at half-past midnight and check-in at our hotel was not until the afternoon, so we needed somewhere to stay overnight. We decided that we’d find somewhere cheap and cheerful in Kuta and spend a few hours looking around before heading off. We chose the Ida hotel based on the attractive price and favorable TripAdvisor reviews. I’m glad we did - it’s gem - a little oasis of calm right in the middle of the town. A couple of minutes from the beach and a couple of minutes from the square. It’s tucked away in a tiny side street - the sort of place you’re unlikely to find by accident. Communication prior to arrival was clear and replies to emails were almost instantaneous. Rooms were basic, but clean and well equipped, The pool is really pretty and staff are friendly and efficient. A key test of any hotel though is not so much what they are good at but how they deal with things then they don’t go quite to plan. In our case, we arranged with them to organise a pick-up from the airport - we didn’t want to battle with taxi drivers at Denpasar in the early hours of the morning. Anyway something went wrong and there was no transport waiting for us. It wasn’t their fault, but the hotel took responsibility and gave us each vouchers for a 60 minute massage at their spa to make up for it. So a big thumbs up to the management there. Food and drink: We weren’t there for lunch or dinner, but the breakfast buffet, while limited was perfectly adequate and the bar by the pool is a great place to chill. The complimentary arak and orange juice went down a treat. All in all, amazing value for money, great location and a level of tranquility that you would have no right to expect so close to the centre of things - highly recommended
