During our recent stay, we encountered several disappointing experiences that fell short of the level of service we expected from Hyatt brand: 1. Towel for day trips- we booked a waterfall tour and asked for towels to take with us. We were informed that hotel towels cannot be taken outside. Given that many guests in Bali take day tours involving water activities , this feels like a vary basic amenity that should be offered. It cost hotel almost nothing but makes a significant impact on the guest experiance. 2. Beach cleanliness and preparatiob- I jogged early each morning and noticed a clear difference in how beaches were maintained by different hotels. Unfortunately, Hyatt's beach area appeared among the least maintained. Compared to neighboring hotels, where staff were preparing the beach and offering towels to guests as early as 6:30-7:00am, to put on the sun bed to wash the sunrise, for Hyatt even if you ask, you won't be getting the towels until 8:00 am. So Hyatt's beach had more visible garbage (plastic and other debris) and no similar towel service. This gave an impression of neglect that is not consistent with the Hyatt brand. 3. Charge for boiled water- we had arranged to meet a local coffee merchant to buy Luwak coffee. We sat in the lounge area of the restaurant near the lobby and asked for the boiled water and cups so we can taste the coffee that we were buying.
