I came to this hotel on Sunday afternoon. The place was difficult to find, google maps showed the wrong way (can't pass using car). I have to call the hotel several times to ask the way to the hotel. I booked 3 rooms, for me and wife, my parents and my sister. Breakfast is standard, but they took time too long to refill the menu. I saw some guests have to wait 30-40 minutes untill they refill the food. The most dissappointing thing is when we checked out. They said that my parents make some ink-stain on the pillow cover and bed cover. Yet the stain is looked old, and I believe it's not my parents fault, since we don't have any pen or anything that ink-based. They ask us to pay some money, for about 20 USD just to clean the stain. We have flight to catch and we don't have time to argue about it, so my wife just paid them out. I don't hope something like this will happen, since everything we used in the room will come dirty and that's their job to clean them up. It's normal. If this is something that they made-up, I hope any guest who read this will pay attention to everything inside the rooms. I'm afraid they make some traps to take more money fron the guest.
I understand that this is a cheap hotel because of the location, noisy neighbourhood, a small pool, but that does not mean that it should be dirty! Dirty everywhere, floors and furniture are dirty and with stains of grease and rust, an unpleasant smell in all the apartments from curtains to sheets, to the bathroom. Even air conditioners and fans are dirty and greasy. Linens have strong smell of bleach but still in in yellow spots. The design of the rooms is completely unsuitable for living with young children, a very steep and dangerous staircase on the second floor has a floor-to-ceiling window without a protective fence, the heart is torn as you think what will happen to the children if they are left alone. In the closet, fragments of a broken mirror, which can severely injure a child. In the bathroom, spider webs from the ceiling and spiders frighten children. Shower have a very weak water pressure of water and water instantly changes from hot to cold. Bathroom accessories are not fresh in 2 dirty bottles with acid green and neon pink liquid soap and / or shampoo. There is no hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. On the first floor in the studio room there is a mini-living room at the entrance, which is useless and a toilet with a hole in the floor, and the second toilet is dirty and unwashed spreads the smell in the apartment. And filthy dirty leather sofa is all in unsanitary yellow spots. On the ground floor there is no drinking water.
I would not suggest this hotel to anybody. First of all the pictures when you book it are completely different from the reality but what to do we did not pay much and the room was big enough for everything I understand that this is a cheap hotel because of location, structure, small pool but this does not mean that it has to be dirty! Dirty Dirty Dirty ! Everywhere I touched in the room it was dirty and filthy. From the curtains to the bed sheets, to the bathroom. Ever time I had to close the curtains I had to wash my hands from the sensation I was left in my hands. Even the AC command was greasy. The bed sheets had already a yellow spot when we entered the room. The architect of the rooms had smoked something before constructing it as the studio room has a mini living room at the entrance that is useless and than the door of the toilet cover completely the mirror and the sink when you open it so you have no space to pass... and the smell of the toilet !!! A toilet that was unwashed properly as it has black stains inside, the same for the sink. If you wish I can come and teach you how to clean as I work for hotels. Really you only need to pass a sponge!! Now ..I did inform reception about all this and I wanted to see a manager that I never saw of course. The receptionist was actually understanding my sensation when I said that everything I touched was filthy and helped me with the word I was looking for... can you imagine ? Not even apologize or do something but actually agreeing with me in what I was saying. Breakfast time, ants or mini spiders on the jams and butter, dirty tables, with an empty room.. I mean I understand if it is busy but not acceptable that there is 4 staff and tables are not cleaned properly. The second day at 10 am (breakfast finishes at 11) there was not even bread anymore. They said it was finish. To end this long comment the staffs are not attentive. They do say "yes" at all time but they are not listening !!!!
Came to this hotel at the beginning of April, and stayed for 7 nights. The staff were very friendly and arrange two tour days for us and drivers upon short notice. Lima (I'm not sure if that how you spell her name) was very helpful and lovely. The hotel is near a lot of tourist sites (GWK park, uluwata etc). Very reasonable price and breakfast omelette was lovely.
big villa and private outdoor pool but that doesn't make up for the poor housekeeping and rundown facilities. We get the room only 1 hour after the check-in time as the previous guest check out late. That is not a problem if they clean the villa properly. Sadly that's not the case. We found stains and foul smell in the living room. The shower has a weak and sometimes non-existed water pressure and the outdoor private pool has missing tiles. The pool water also has a foul smell that worries us. The bed isn't comfy and we can hear noises with every movement. Loud china tour group alert! It's the helpful staff and good breakfast make up the 2 star. Sadly will not recommend this place until the property upgrades itself
We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom villa with our own private pool. The villa itself was beautiful featuring a lounge and kitchenette, private pool and a balcony with views of Jimbaran. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There's also a large communal pool located off from the reception desk. If stairs aren't your friend or cause you accessibility issues then I wouldn't recommend this place. Breakfast is served in the rooftop restaurant that is on the third floor and requires you to walk up the flights of stairs. Breakfast itself has a selection of predominantly Asian styled food with basic cereal, eggs and toasts/pastries as their western styled food. To be honest if you're not phased with menu selections, a few quirks within the rooms (low and sporadic water pressure in the showers) & using this place as a base then it's great. We found that if we wanted Bintang or any other alcohol you needed to take a short (200m) walk to some local warungs.
There's no bar, hotel does not serve alcohol at all. Run down. The door to my ground floor balcony didn't lock and safe didn't work. Maintenance locked the door but then I couldn't open it for three days. It's a long way to any tourist attractions. Savings will be eaten by transport costs. Food is bland and westernised. Very dim lighting in bathroom. Tea and coffee but no teaspoons. Room service but no menu etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
Had to ask to move rooms straight away due to a very unpleasant smell, luckily we didn't have to wait long until we were shown to a new room. The rooms are a bit tired and aren't 100% clean, but for what you are paying they are OK. I wouldn't recommend eating in the restaurant, we waited a long time just for a couple of pizzas and they were horrible, soggy bases with so much cheese piled on top. Breakfast is mainly buffet style, not a huge amount - cereal, toast, juice, there's some dishes with Indonesian food in, but this was usually cold. There's a guy with a frying pan who offers you a fried egg or omelette too. The worst thing about this hotel is the location, you are near nothing. Even though we were in the middle of nowhere the reception staff failed to tell us about their shuttle service. When we realised they had one, we asked to go to the beach, and we were bluntly told we cannot go today, you have to book it a day in advance. We planned to use it the day after, only to find out that it is free one way, but you have to pay 150,000idr if you want to be picked up! We got a blue bird taxi from the hotel instead which was 30,000, so don't fall for that one. Once you're in Jimbaran you can catch one of their local taxis (as they don't allow bluebirds in the area), and they also did the return trip for 30,000. We did use their shuttle to the airport as this was 150,000, which was the same as a taxi, and the driver was so rude. He watched me struggle with my suitcase down the stairs from my room without offering help, didn't greet us just pointed to the car, and didn't speak the whole way. Oh and he only works 10am-4pm so the shuttle is out of action out of those hours. Absolute joke considering how far out this hotel is. The staff seemed to have a general attitude towards the guests and weren't helpful in any way during our time here.
While it's not the most centrally located hote Denbukit definitely has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday. There are good cafes just around the corner, restaurant on site, and a convenience store about10mi s walk down the road. If you fancy taking a trip to the beach there are scooters available from reception for 70000 rupiah (around $7AUD) andthe beach is a 8min ride away, otherwise take a dip in the resort pool which has a beautifulskyline view. All the staff are extremely helpful and have reasonable English. The rooms are clean and shower has hot water. Thereare roadside laundry services rigbtaround the ornertoo. Great little place to escape to!!
stay here for 1 night to celebrate my fiance birthday was the right choices. we enter the room about 4pm and such a nice room. big bed with balcony and separate sitting area with charming decoration and of course its clean. Comfy bed and cool aircon is a plus things. love this place, definitely return with by fiance.
