My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Ubud to celebrate our anniversary. This was our second time in Bali - we wanted a change from the Nusa Dua beach environment where we stayed our first visit (St.Regis). Every detail of our stay was overseen by our wonderful assistant Tirta - she anticipated our needs, made great suggestions (like arranging a free shuttle to the como uma ubud property for dinner), and helped us have a memorable stay. The level of service exceeds what we've experienced at the Ritz, St.regis and four seasons around the world. We stayed in a Bayugita garden residence, which had a private walk out terrace with a small coy pond and outdoor bath (there's also an indoor shower). The location was very close to the main pool, spa and restaurants. Each residence also has private pools to enjoy. Your assistant will work with you to tailor the stay to your preferences - as active or quiet as you like. We took advantage of the estate and rice terrace walks. The food was also delicious...even for my husband who is not a health food fan! We will be back one day!

Had an amazing time at Como Shambhala and will be going back as soon as possible. You'll feel more peaceful the second you walk on the grounds. Their natural spring pools overlooking the river are something I won't forget. The food was delicious, and the staff is so friendly. Francisco anticipated our every need and made sure our stay was perfect.

After debating for more than a year over whether to book a high-end solo getaway, I did it and it was worth every penny. Subi was my personal assistant for the duration of my stay and he was attentive but unobtrusive, kind and helpful. I really appreciated that he didn't bring up my departure details until the day of departure so that I could continue in the relaxation zone the last evening. The property is quiet - no motorbike noises or rooters in the distance. Take the time to join the estate walk to explore the entire property as it's larger than it looks with lots of little paths down to the river. It's exclusive, private and quiet. And the food is wonderful - healthy and delicious. I'll be back next year. The packages are worth it, bundling the food, spa treatments and activities so that you don't think about $$ while you are there. It was a wonderful experience.

Fall inlove with the hotel scenery, views, friendly staff and facilities. Luxury in the jungle, peaceful and breathtaking. Check out the natural pools and daily activities (yoga, pilates...:) Near ubud, you have daily trips from the hotel, and a great spa to relax.

Great room and wonderful start of our honeymoon! Our personal assistant was a helpful addition to our stay. Plenty of activities during the day and one of the best spa's in Bali. Would recommend a minimum stay of 3/4 nights to enjoy the full experience:)

I was lucky enough to spend a weekend at COMO Shambhala. What a beautiful property! The COMO staff were so attentive and happy. Subi our butler was AMAZING! I would recommend to request him as just so nice and down to earth. I stayed in Tejasaura, which was beautiful. I did view Saundarya and Shantivani, which to be honest looked like it go do with being newly decorated (paint and soft furnishings) so I wouldn't recommend those two villas, but everywhere else I saw was amazing! The food was incredibly healthy and tasty (which often do not go together!) and the COMO Shambhala spa didn't disappoint....the products are the best there are and I came home with a suitcase full! Highly recommend for a couples/friends/solo trip away to relax and rejuvenate! Thank you COMO

The resort was just beautiful. We felt well as soon as we walked in. We hiked, did yoga and swam at the natural spring pool. we even saw monkeys on our hike. We didn't leave the resort once because there were so many things to do inside the resort. The food was amazing. We loved the Indonesian restaurant. The room was very comfortable and the service was great. I definitely recommend this resort.

As a resident of Jimbaran i decided to take a few days in Ubud. Literally felt as if i were in a different country as COMO certainly facilitated this. The rooms are amazing with lush beautiful views of the Valley. Jungle feel minus the intrusion of natures residents. Service unobtrusive yet omnipresent. Would suggest nature walk. Food was good, only drawback is television reception, but surrounded by beauty who needs TV

The best thing about this hotel is your personal assistant. Dudik was assigned to us. I wish other hotels had someone like this. Aim to please. The entrance of the hotel is newly done. The remainder of the hotel needs a face lift. We got a terrace room- the bathroom was outside. Not pleasant in the middle of night. The shower/bath also outside. Unless you're on a plan where everything is included, they nickel and dime you. Want to go to town at night,$20 each way. Want to get a massage, $100. Want to walk thru the rice fields, $40. We asked for a better room and we got upgraded. It was much better. Toilet inside. I'd say go to other places in Bali near the water rather than stay here.

Spent 4 nights as part of honeymoon. I travel quite extensively and never seen perfection to this level. Each item below is a reason to choose como above others in their respect -estate. No other hotel has this. Amazing place carved out for them in the middle of the jungle -decoration. If you are looking for a new money/kardashian type marble and electronic gizmos, this is not your place. Rooms are decorated with upmost quality wood and with a touch of colonial British touch. Make you feel like a million dollars -staff. Amazing attendance -food. It deserves a Michelin star if you ask me Overall, differentiated, serene, classy, calming, one of a lifetime experience
