Alam Ubud was an absolutely beautiful hotel with the most helpful staff. Set in a dreamy rainforest, the villas provide extensive views of nature and the surrounding environment. You will be transported to an experience of tranquility and secluded from the rush of the inner city of Ubud.
My friend said to me ..." this is the nicest place I have stayed ....my response .."this is the nicest place ANYONE has stayed ! ....just so lovely, relaxing and gorgeous! Staff are just beautiful and the jungle/Ridge/river setting is absolutely magnificent.....sublime !
Picture yourself being driven through the countryside and on to side roads with Paddy fields. You then enter into the property located at the edge of a tropical forrest. A small hotel with only 15 beautiful large Villas. Spectacular views from the balcony overlooking the thick foliage of the tropical forrest. If I had all the time in the world I would spend the morning watching the birds early in the morning and spend reading a book from the same balcony of the Villa all day. Alam Ubud receives fresh natural water from the springs in and around the property. They are used to fill the swimming pools making it even more inviting to dive in to rejuvenate. The local believe the springs have the ability to cleanse skin ailments too. Friendly helpful staff. Fluent in English. The only issue I found which I did not like was from the in room safe which used a key to open instead of a combination. Getting in the Ubud town can be accessed with the hotel shuttle. They also have private cars with drivers which can be hired to drive you around for a fee. The food on the menu was limited. Breakfast buffet was not the best but not bad. I would return to the hotel on another trip. The hotel has got my recommendation.
The setting of Alam Ubud is so peaceful and beautiful, located in the "jungle" away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and crowds. The villas are spacious and private and the staff are exceptional! Always friendly , smiling and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. A first class experience and one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
We stayed for 2 nights and it was the most amazing experience of Bali. Trust me the minute u land in bali you should book yourself a pool villa and book a massage to get rid of your tiredness. The ambience relieves you from all your stress. You can hear the sound of rivel flowing which by the way can be explores once you descend down the steps and the chirping sound of grasshoppers is like a sweet melody to your ears. A special thanks to our host Satya who willingly organised our anniversary cake twice!! and graciously helped us in all the manner. A must try stay if your ever visit bali.
We stayed three nights and it was very relaxing. The atmosphere was really nice, the hotel is surrounded by nature and the pool is a must! Delicious local food and good international food also. The staff was helpful and they were always smiling. I recommend this place if you would like to relax in the middle of nature.
This was a truly fantastic place to stay! This being my first trip to Bali, the staff at Alam Ubud Villas could not have done more for my boyfriend and I! Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and relieved of our luggage, shown to our enormous room, with private pool and terrace. We then had the pleasure of dinning in the on site restaurant, which offered a huge variety of dishes both traditional and European. The following days were the most relaxing with the staff ensuring your every need was catered too. Thank you so much to all the staff at Alam Ubud for making the first part of our visit to Bali and dream holiday. Could not recommend this place enough!!!
It was nearly 9pm when we checked in and there's a big pile of unknown objects right in the middle of the bed. The receptionist said it's not inserts, it's wood but we believed it's not. So we requested to change room and we got upgraded for one night. On the next morning, we got told that we needed to change back to normal room type, which we were fine with it. And AGAIN, there's a pile of unknown objects right in the middle of the bed and in the bathroom! The other staff said it's some kind of inserts from the woods which is not harmful. As you can see from the attached photos, I don't know any guests will feel comfortable with this situation TWICE! So they moved us to another room and I have been waiting them to move my luggages for 1 hr! Really this is the WORST experience ever!
A group of six stayed in the only 3bedroom villa which is located at the top of the resort. It had its own mini infinity pool. The only issue we had was the huge gaps in the doors which meant ants, mosquitos, spiders and even lizards help themselves into our rooms. The main infinity pool is beautiful and there is even another pool which is located down the bottom of the resort next to the river which is also very beautiful. Staff are lovely. Breakfast options limited but sufficient.
We ended our honeymoon with 4 days here and it was absolutely amazing. The pictures can't capture how amazing it is there. The sound of the spring and birds in the forest will keep you in silence. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It is about 15 minutes from Ubud palace and they offer 6 free shuttle rides there daily. They would get us a cheap taxi when we were doing our own thing and always made sure we knew how we were getting back. They also set up our trek up Mt. Batur. Because we were going to miss the free breakfast, they packed us boxed meals to take on the hike. The food was good and service was great. The messages were the best of our honeymoon and they come set up below your Villa for an amazing experience. We ended our stay with the romantic dinner by the infinity pool. It was delicious and extremely romantic. (Flowers, signs and lots of candles) My wife was floating afterwards and cried when we had to check out. We absolutely loved it and will be back again hopefully soon!
