I was blown away by this hotel. At such a good price, Alam Ubud massively exceeded my expectations. The grounds of the hotel were absolutely beautiful, I didn’t feel at a disadvantage at all for being away from the sea. They have an incredible infinity pool by the restaurant with a brilliant green view. The breakfast was free, and there was a large selection of good foods at other meal times. I have also never been served by such friendly, polite staff! They were always close by and made you feel as though you were the only guests there. They offered free shuttles to and from Ubud, which was safe and consistent, and the hotel offers a big range of activities (like a rice field terrace walk, spa treatments, horse riding and many more). The overall feel of the hotel was quiet, spacious, and peaceful. Could not recommend enough.
Could not recommend Alam Ubud enough. The hotel grounds are beautiful and our room was so spacious and clean. The staff at Alam Ubud really did go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Every single member of staff really was amazing and so friendly. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the large amount of activities you can do. We did the tour of the rice terraces and the yoga and can definitely recommend both! Myself and my friend have already decided we will be visiting again in the future. Thank you Alam Ubud!
An experience like no other Imagine waking up to the sound of a river in the jungle and walk to your villa balcony in tranquil jungle paradise. Well...that’s exactly what you get at this hotel. The staff are friendly and great for advice on things to do in the area! Ask them about the Bali swing. It’s closer than you think. It’s pure peacefulness at this resort. The villas are huge and be comfortable. The breakfast is pretty standard but the view makes up for it overlooking the infinity pool and rain forest. There is also a man who plays a soft bamboo piano type instrument while you eat. Overall I would recommend this if you want an escape for the heart of ubud where it gets a bit overwhelming.
We arrived at the villa in the evening after a long day and was greeted with warm welcome by the hotel staff. The view from the hotel lobby is mesmerizing as the sun started to set over the jungle. Our room was very spacious and cozy and have a balcony overlooking the jungle and next to the river. After we freshen up, we had our candle light dinner next to the infinity pool. The food was not perfect but the arrangement and decoration for the candle light dinner was lovely and very thoughtful. Walking back to the restaurant from our villa is quite a challenge as we need to climb some steep slopes and steps. The next morning after breakfast, we took a stroll to explore the villa. The view of our surrounding was so beautiful with lots of flora and fauna. The whole villa was covered with vegetation and so well blended in with the nature. Although we only stay here for a night, we love our short jungle retreat so much that we are craving for more now.
The whole place is amazing!! The villa was very clean, spacious and beautiful. Plus you get to wake up with a view and sound of the jungle! I also LOVED the main pool. Wish I could have stayed longer.
This villa located in the middle of farm villa, away from city. That why it is very quiet. The hotel staffs was very friendly to welcoming us, we got cold towel and fresh drink while waiting our room fixed. View around villa was sooo good, very relaxing, and natural vibe. Each villa separating with stairs on the hills and its tiring to step up and down, so i think this place NOT suitable for elderly. The room I got was very wide, the bed was pretty good and bathroom was awesome. The problem was i went there with friend, and the room seems made for couple.. but the staff was handling everything like we wanted. so if you plan to stay here, dont hesitate to ask staff to give what you want. I need to warn that this villa is NOT recommended for bringing kinds under 8 yo bcoz location is in the hills with a lot stairs and cliff. in case you bringing kids make sure to full attention to them.
Dont trust this villa when you're in hunger early morning. Actually they have very less choice on breakfast and you have to pay if you want taste western breakfast like bread and toast . The expensive villa with worse offer .
A beautiful place to stay; it was amazing to look out from your balcony and see the rainforest and hear all the animals! The staff were lovely and very helpful, and the facilities at the resort were quite appealing and clean. We were lucky to only have to go down 2 flights of stairs to our villa; if you're someone with a bad knee etc. perhaps try to book a villa close to the top-we both walked right down the bottom to the river and were gasping for breath as we made our way back up. The food was hit and miss at times, and the resort is a fair way out from Ubud (about 10-15 mins car/bike ride) although they do provide shuttles at specific times. Overall a great stay, just a few minor things which prevents us from going to 5 stars.
hidden gem in ubud! eventhough the location is quite hidden, but when you arrive there, all those curiousity gone away as soon as you being welcomed by the staffs. walked into the villa leave us speechless looking at the detailing, nice room, nice long balcony, nice living room and really big bathroom and nice resort surrounding! they have two main swimming pool at the site, the largest is the infinity pool nearby reception and the other one is down below next to the river and closed to the jungle. the resort also arranged a surprise anniversary cake to us and a special anniversary deco in the room that we appreciate most! staying in the room enjoying the rain drops from the balcony overlooking to the jungle is the best feeling i've ever experienced. breakfast need to improve as the option is too limited, but the best thing about breakfast is you will be entertained by a live performance of traditional balinese music. thanks to the great hospitality from the resort. i will come again for sure!
The villas are private and beautifully appointed. Located in a rainforest a short distance from rice fields and Ubud central you feel miles away it's so peaceful. The pools and tea huts were well kept. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay.
