Hayabusa trip to Bala

Lovely place in a lovely setting, Bala high street was very busy and vibrant lots to see and do , we visited the white water rafting centre which was excellent. Also we rode to the Elan valley to see the dams , a most spectacular sight, weather was amazing if a little too hot even for motorcycling.

Really enjoyed our stay, thank you so much to the staff for making us feel welcome. Only issue was the nightclub across the road being loud, but closing the window sorted that. Mot, our dog was very happy and spoilt rotten. Would love to come again. Diolch yn fawr

Great Hotel, but don’t stray out..

Nice old hotel right in the centre of Bala. Secure off road parking behind hotel for my motorbike. Not much choice of ales. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I didn’t try the food as I thought I would mix it up a bit and have breakfast over the road in ‘Hoffi Coffi’ … if you find being served a soup like offering as a cooked breakfast entertaining (tinned tomatoes, beans and a price of bacon and egg swimming around in there) then be my guest and go on in and fill your boots up! Seeing the coffee machine gave me at least some confidence that they could deliver a decent coffee? Alas, I got Nescafé… instant.. I can’t believe that in 2025 this place still exists, wait! I may have wandered into a time portal and popped up in 1983… Curry house up the way a bit was abysmal, that’s another story though…

A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. I only stayed over night. I used the restaurant, the food was nice and the prices reasonable. A big car park at the rear of the hotel, however not as secure for my bike as I would have liked. Overall, nice place, I've booked to stay on my return trip from Holyhead on the 28th June.

The white lion hotel

We had a very good comfortable stay with the white lion hotel. Our room had plenty of space very clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Lovely traditional British pub. Staff were lovely and a nice welcome from Rosie the resident dog! All single rooms are on the 2nd floor (no lift). The room I stayed in was quite small but clean and very comfy bed.

Good clean room on third floor with large walk in shower in en suite. Could not undo locked wardrobe door but due to inconvenience given two free breakfasts which was appreciated. Not many socket outlets in room and non near kettle. Would not recommend having evening meal due to slow service and quality. Real ale pumps but no real ale on.Parking restricted but we were aware. Staff very helpful.
