A very nice stay. Fairmont Hotel, Baku Flame Towers Check-in date: Aprıl 04, 2018 check-out date: 08 Aprıl 2018 4 nights I was in the hotel. very nice hotel. The room is clean and the location is very good.

Wonderful 5 star hotel with excellent and wide rooms and nice breakfast and beautiful view on Quazuin Sea and have very friendly staff and customer service. Location is excellent almost near by many interesting points in Baku

Did visit Jazz club at 3rd floor. Sound quality and performance was good but would expected more. Wednesday’s are the best days to come to listen classic trio jazz. Tried moctaiks as we were driving, moctails were really good and well prepared, you could feel the freshness. Also there was no smoking area which is extremely rare for Azerbaijan. I really liked the atmosphere and the service, price and quality. The only down for me was the music band.

Room was very large and view was great. Bed was uncomfortable and our non smoking room smelt smokey. At checkin the room was not cleaned properly even though we checked in at 11PM, we found left over toys from and ketchup sachets and broken pieces of glass in the bathroom. Service staff over all were apathetic and standards were much lower than I would have accepted from a 5 star Fairmont. The broken glass required multiple visits and requests to be cleaned and no one seemed too concern over the fact there were broken pieces of glass in the bathroom or how it may have injured us or worse our 4 year old child. The weekend the hotel was full, the breakfast was a complete disaster. Had to make discrete requests for to set and clean the table, then later to provide cutlery and then later for the condiments (jam/honey) and yet the table was dirty and the condiments never came. This was my very exclusive Fairmont Gold experience. Also none of the jets in the hot tub of the indoor pool worked.

I stayed alone during my business in the hotel during the work week. Hotel is located in so called Flaming towers that are visible from everywhere in the city. From the rooms on high floors opens beautiful view on the city and the sea. At the same time, hotel is not very close to the city center and you need to have a short ride or long walk to get there. This beautiful building also brings certain disadvantages. Baku is known for very strong winds. I lived on the 20th floor and at one of the day (night), wind speed was around 20-30 m/sec. This is quite normal for the area, but in the room it was as during the turbulence in the plane. I couldn’t sleep in the night during very heavy bumps on the windows and fear that it will simple fell away and I will be dragged outside. Besides, it takes up to one minute, in order hot water becomes really hot and that is really annoying when you want to just wash you hand and in a hurry. Reception service is very polite and friendly, but somehow slow and their actions seem not logical sometimes. E.g. I checked in with my colleague. We were from the same company and country and reception took her passport for registration and didn’t ask for mine (we were both first time there). My colleague forgot to take her passport tomorrow and after several days forgot about the case at all. She thought that her passport was lost and called taxi and hotel. Surprisingly, reception didn’t answer immediately that her passport was with them and it took another hour to found that out. So, be careful. My turn was during the checkout when they tried to unblock reservations on my credit card. For some reason they created 2 reservations. One was unblocked successfully, other not, card reader broke during the transaction… At the end I received 3 receipts…hope my balance will be ok at the end. Room seemed to be decorated by some award-winning designer with natural wooden furniture, pictures and very original planning. E.g. in order to get to the bedroom, you need to go through the bathroom or through the living room. I didn’t find power supply near the bed, and as I (and I support lot of people) charge my phone during the night and use it for wake up, I needed to jump out of my bed in the morning, in order to turn the bell off. Also, there was an original light control and curtains control system that was neither effective nor simple. Same was for the TV and multimedia. It took me several minutes each time to turn on the TV and after one week of usage I still had no idea what combination of button brings that to life. In the minibar I found only few snacks, but probably I didn’t search thoroughly. Besides from that, everything seemed to be in place and in a good shape. Gym is good equipped, but relatively small and location could be chosen better. It is on the 5th floor and when you run, you can only observe hospital building and some industrial buildings nearby. Negative impression in comparison to Hilton, where gym is almost on the last floor with beautiful city view or with Boulevard, where you see the see 50 meters from you. Breakfast is good, but choice is not very big. E.g. only single porridge, no yoghurt, not a lot of local specialties. Waiters are sometimes ready to guide you to your table and sometimes forget you totally and do not ask you if you want tee or coffee. If you want to have a dinner there, then prices are not very high compared to other hotels. Choice is not very big, but good thing was that everything was prepared really fast, that I liked a lot.

the view of the rooms is amazing. I posted it online and everyone was asking where is that? However, the service is really bad starting from whats available in the room. There is no tooth brush, no cotton buds etc... I called them and they said they are out of stock and they kept saying that for 3 days. I mean if its out of stock they should be able to get it back in 3 days time at least!

Mr. Rahman and Sergey they was the best with the customer the service its fast always with smile and training to make all customer happy and satisfied. The place its the best for having coffee and relax. Recommend for any one want to visit Baku the hotel its good the Nur Lounge as well Regards Maha

We stayed at fairmont for 7 nights. The only good thing is building with a sea view room, but our experience is terrible here. 1- Air conditioning is very poor and we freeze at night and boiling in the morning and noontime. Consider 3 times engineers come and do something. 2- Staff is rude and nothing to do by themselves. Anything you need, you should ask several times. Maybe they do. 3- Tissue is a great problem here. 4- There is a stingy management because everything is low and less everyday. This is for cleaning, shampoo, tissues, water, tea, coffee, etc. 5- In breakfast bar, nothing special. Also everything is going to finish and you should wait long times to charge it again. It’s not a 5 star buffet at all. 6- Un believed, Suddenly we saw somebody is cleaning the windows from outside. I made a mistake in choosing this hotel only because of view. But I think you are better if you stay at JW Mariot or “Four Season” indeed. Better location and quality based on our friends experience.

When you stay in a 5* international hotel like this , you expect better services; view ( in sea side rooms ) is nice , food menu for room service is terminate, there is an unpleasant smell in lobby often, and chloride smell in the small indoor pool is very high , breakfast wasn’t good , spa is excellent, staffs are kind , distance to center city is short and taxi is available always. Club is normal . Food menu of room service is very brief .

very nice and expensive place . Beautiful lighting beautiful architecture high level Hotel so modern The Jazz bar is very god for insetting to Jazz music I suggest to every one in Baku that see this 3 towers
