The hotel is simple and worth it to stay.Very accessible wherever you go.The staffs are very friendly always smiling ......We had a very nice stay in Microtel.....highly recommended.........Thank you so much Microtel.............amazing
PROS: 1. Easy reservation. I inquired via email and received a reply from Jeryl within hours. A few days before check-in, Val texted to ask what time we expected to arrive to ensure that the rooms would be ready by then. 2. Fast check-in. There was a slight glitch because the room I had requested wasn't ready yet, but Steph and Jenny were quick to remedy the situation by upgrading both our rooms to connecting suites. 2. Excellent location. Right beside the Victory Liner bus station, it is a 5-minute brisk walk to SM, Mario's and a few other restaurants. Public transport is accessible at the street corner. City maps are available for free at the front desk. 3. Efficient housekeeping staff. Justin quickly set up the sofa beds as soon as we got to the rooms. Jay-R came to the room within minutes after we called the front desk to send housekeeping. 4. Good room service. A waiter delivered a menu within five minutes after we called for one. The food was good - spaghetti bolognese, chicken sandwich, adobo, salmon ceviche, fish and chips, among others. Portions were sizable. 5. Safe parking. There aren't enough parking spaces in the back so some guests needed to park on the street in front of the hotel. There were at least two guards at any given time to watch the cars in front, and another guard at the back. 6. Airconditioning. This is one of the few hotels in Baguio that have airconditioners in the rooms. 7. Free wifi. We would get disconnected from time to time but it would automatically reconnect right away. 8. Homey lobby. There is a couch, some tables and chairs, a TV and a 24-hour coffee station. 9. One-minute checkout. We just deposited our key cards and that was it. 10. Great value. We paid less than $65/night for each room. CONS: 1. The noise. The walls and doors are thin, and we could hear muffled voices in the next room, doors slamming outside, sometimes even conversation that went on down the hall. 2. The guests. Because it is a budget hotel, it is usually chosen as the venue for office seminars. We had the misfortune of being checked in at the same time as some loud talking guests from a Bulacan municipality, who shouted early in the morning and late at night, jolting us awake. 3. The view. There is not much to see outside the windows other than houses and the tops of some pine trees in the distance at best. 4. The windows. The windows would only open six inches so we couldn't get enough fresh air inside the rooms. 5. The bathrooms. The toilets took forever to refill, although water pressure in the faucet and shower were fine. Towels were old and yellowish. Only one toothbrush was provided in the bathroom of the suites. 6. The sofabeds. As expected, they were springy and creaked with each movement. We couldn't even use one of them because the base was unstable and the wooden slats supporting the mattress had curved downward. 7. The grounds. There is no garden, playground or area where small kids can run around. TE QUIERO: Wide selection of food at the complimentary breakfast buffet but the usual breakfast choices were missing, e.g., pancakes/French toast, hotdogs/sausages/bacon, oatmeal/congee and yogurt. Instead they served pinakbet, chicken curry, fried chicken, assorted vegetables, pancit bihon and the like. The wait staff were very attentive and cheerful though, always smiling and eager to assist. They were quick to replenish the buffet dishes, refill our coffee, and clear the tables.
Every year, we find ourselves in Baguio to enjoy the cool weather. It is our first time, however, to stay at Microtel. Hotel is simple and unpretentious. But it is clean and located near the bus station. In fact, there is a connecting bridge to the station. Staff is friendly. I just hope the food choices for breakfast can be expanded. But overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Nice internet connection for traveller who has business or work to do even they are on leave.. Although no other amenities but the simplicity is worth it. Unlimited cold and hot drink water and coffee.. nice comfy bed. Only downside is the cable reception if u are stay at home person. And the toilet flush you need to wait 5 to 10mins before it fill up.. hard for people who frequenting the toilet hehehe Nice lobby to do something..and not that over crowded. Nice staff and security staff.. very accomodating and helpful. A 5 star for 3 star hotel.
Everything was very good. The rooms, bathrooms, room service, and the breakfast buffet. Ugghhh. Also, the nicest thing was that, I only requested the room service to fix the alarm clock (provided by the hotel) but the next morning, front desk actually called me just to wake me up. And because of that I was able to go to the places in my itinerary on time. Thank You Microtel! :)
First stayed here on 2012 then again this year and so far nothing much has changed. The rooms are still clean and comfy, the breakfast buffet is still good though variety of food is limited. Customer service is still good. Walking distance to SM mall and shops/bars/resto.
The room was clean and very cozy. Its size was just right! The bed was comfortable. The shower and toilet area was spacious too and I liked it. As for the staff, they were really courteous and hospitable. Coordinating with them via phone and email was a breeze. The hotel's location is perfect especially when you don't have a car and will be commuting around Baguio. You can easily walk to different restaurants and shops and enjoy the cold climate. I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! The promo with Victory Liner is superb!
We booked the microtel on a whim on our way to Baguio because it had a high rating on an online booking website. Its appearance is homely, with warm blue and white colours in the exterior and a cozy lobby. Its more of a Quaint Inn than an actual hotel (thus its name). All the areas were incredibly clean. (hand sanitizer fixed on the wall next to the elevator call button in the lobby) Genuinely kind and helpful staff, starting from the security guard to the gardener that wishes you a good morning when exiting the microtel and the chef, who offered to cook us "anything we wanted" during breakfast because we're Muslim and couldn't eat some of the breakfast items. The queen-size beds were perfect. And the view of Bagiuo from the window was absolutely breathtaking. The Microtel doesn't provide bottled water in the rooms, instead there is a pitcher and 2 glasses that you can use to fill from the several water coolers across the hallway. The only difficulty I faced during my stay is the iron and ironing board. It was leaking and the heat was't controlled very well. The board was much smaller than I'm used to and This microtel is a definite must if you're in Baguio. No regrets.
This is the best Hotel in Baguio City near at Victory Liner and taxi lane so no worries when travelling. Delicious foods will serve u at Te Quiero Restaurant and most of all they have nice and friendly staffs. Thank you Microtel. :)
I stayed at Hotel last October 5, 2017. Excellent Service….I was originally put in a last room in the lower level where apparently mobile phone signal that time is limited. I asked if possibly to be moved for another room stating my reason. The hotel staff was nice enough to move to a nicer room at 4th floor. Amazing People…. I want to commend Ms. Wilma Rose Tipayno (Front Desk Agent) for her exemplary kindness and assistance in getting and securing my needed documents from Baguio Traffic Management Unit.
