Stayed here over 10 years ago when it was a smaller and simpler operation. Coming back, i was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with how they had evolved since. Rooms were basic enough-- nobody comes to Baguio to lock oneself in a room after all--- yet very clean, had ample lighting, and complete amenities. Good sizeable tv, option of ceiling fan or a/c, percolator, complimentary water and coffee. Most impressive and close to my heart is the fact that they are an ecologically sensitive establishment. Bathroom spacious, updated, with a huge window for natural lighting. Complete toilet amenities. Shower pressure was strong, yet water-saving as it had some new shower head that saved water as it emitted a light yet full misty blast(can you tell i loved it? LOL) There was also a circular that announced their shifting to more energy saving features(water heating, drinking water, etc.) These things are important to me. Hotel staff are very well trained. Courteous, and informed, quick to respond and accommodating. Good linen (towels and sheets) though I would have appreciated a fluffy comforter over the thin blanket. The coffee shop--- aaah the coffee shop!!!! Spacious, clean, bright, cosy dining area with open veranda section. This area obviously fills up quickest. Full-on breakfast spread... cereals, drinks: coffee juices, fresh fruit, main buffet-- tapa, longanisa, eggs your way, fish(alternating bangus, tuyo sardines), a wonderful create-your-own fried rice station, breads, pancake, champorado, and a lovely taho(warm soybean snack) station too... any guest will be pleased with his/her fancy! They also have a complete and varied a'la carte menu for all hours/meals of the day. i don't know if it was 24/7 but i never noticed it closed regardless of what time i walked past by. What excited me furthermore is their expansive patisserie. Over half-a-dozen delicious cakes(my death was by the chocolate and the red velvet), same amount of beautiful breads: was happy to try the light yet flavourful focaccia, rye, and decadent prune. I was told the others were as delicious but as you may guess, I practically had to roll myself down from Baguio to Manila. Can you tell I enjoyed my stay very much? :)
Our room was ok, but the bed mattress and the pillows were kinda hard that we didn't get to sleep well in the 2 nights that we were there. Also, the barking of the neighbor's dog and the violin tutorial woke us up on both mornings. It is walking distance to SM, Breakfast had a lot of selections but they can still improve on the taste of their dishes, especially the ala carte ones.
Been to this hotel twice in 2017, latest was lasr second week of december. We were booked there for 2 nights for an official business trip. Observations: Location-accessible and short walking distance to sm mall and bus station Rooms-quite spacious for the price per night although the single beds feels a bit small cimpares to the room. The cable reception is bad though the hotel staff made effort to fix it. Ambience-it gets a wee bit creepy at night since most of the lights are turned off esp at the hallways. They are pro-environment so the lights will turn on via censor, will turn on when you are passing by and turn off if you've walked a few feet away. So you dont want to roam the hallways alone esp at night as it feels eerie. Bath- shower has hot and cold shower although at the time of our visit, the shower system was being upgraded so it took some time before the hot water to kick in. My room mate thought that the hot shower was busted so she took a bath in ice cold tap water..yikes! But then when it was my turn i patiently waited for the water to turn warm and it did. Breakfast-the spread of food is satisfying. What i liked about it was their make your own taho (soy bean curd) station. Loved it especially their sugar syrup and strawberry syrup and tapioca pearls toppings. The breads are good too. Customer service-its ok since we did not encounter anything appalling. They are accommodating so far since we stayed their twice already. So i can say their service is consistent.
Superb! I enjoy my stay room are spacious and comfy with hot water, parking and breakfast buffet. I would recommend to all a bit walking yes to keep you warm in the freezing cold weather of Baguio City
I stayed here for 3 nights, and overlall I didn't enjoy my stay. There were fewer amenities than I expected, the tv was too small. On the first night, my sleep was interrupted because of power loss, and I didn't know if the generatoe kicked in oe they just let the power to come back because it waa quite a while. The only good thing I like is the free breakfast and its decent restaurant place. I'll be hesistant to come back here.
This is a review of the restaurant only - the Voyager. We called in for dinner last night and had a very mixed experience. dirty wine glasses, nice salad, appalling chowder in which no seafood could be detected, and lacklustre service. A pianist was playing which was a nice touch. Staff seemed more interested in setting up for breakfast for the following morning than in serving the customers that were there. This restaurant needs an experienced manager, plain and simple.
This hotel does have a breakfast buffet but has few variety of food served... the location is great for tourist because near sm and session road. However, the storage room next to our room was open Up until we checked out. Like all their cleaning materials was exposed and it was a bit creepy walking past through it at night. No one even bothered to close it. And we were one person extra in our room but they only provided us with 2 bathroom towels 1 conditioner, shampoo and soap.. ants also infested are snacks when we were asleep. But we appreciated them calling us when we forgot somthing at the hotel.
Thought this was not actually in our options. We we're lucky to get a room here during the long weekend. The location is great. Very accessible and close to SM baguio and some restaurants. Parking is sufficient and secured. There is a security guard kn duty 24/7. The Hotel is old but well maintained. The lobby is clean and well illuminated. The room though is somehow disappointing. When we arrived at around 6pm, our room was ready. We were escorted to our room. They gave us a room with twin single beds when i specified 1 queen bed. They offered to move us to another room the next day since there were no other available rooms that night. The big turn off is the shower head in our bathroom. This is the kind that has tiny sprays. The angle was terrible also. We have to stand very close to the wall to get a good coverage. The tiny sprays won't reach your legs and feet. Thus you will get cold while showering. This is the worst part of our stay. The staff are attentive and friendly. Room service is fast. The food is great. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. My wife was happy to eat taho. Food are kids-friendly. Hope the management would do something about the shower.
Contrary to other observations, we found the hotel much to our liking. The ambience was just perfect especially in the lobby. We did not have a single encounter with the staff that was not pleasant. The people manning the front desk especially those in the morning shift were very friendly and even engaged us in small talk. In fact we have already recommended this hotel to our friends and family.
My friend and I went to try their coffee and cake. we Ordered a good cup of coffee, a slice of cheesecake and dolce. we ask for water and the water was serve in a globlet with water stain marks and to add to the horror the handle and base are covered with dust that's almost mad-like. In tagalog sabihin na nating parang galing sa baul na pinamahayan ng ipis. Calling city health of baguio.
