What an authentically privileged location and high-end hotel with its suites and restaurants! In the middle of mother nature's finest environment, you may enjoy going for a bike ride and all the balneo-thermal springs!

There’s no way to avoid it - Bad Ragaz is all about the water. Millions of litres everyday, pouring from deep inside earth down the mountainside at 36,5 degrees Celsius everyday. Grand Resort makes the most of this natural source of well being, in particular with the spectacular refurbishment of Quellenhof, on if the three hotels that makes up the resort. The mountain air, the spacious layout, oh and yes the water, makes for a five star experience difficult to match for great hotels in say Hong Kong or New York. The new perfectly designed reception/lounge/library/bar area will cater to a younger crowd, which the place deserves, children and even dogs included! After three days of light hiking, reading, swimming and even being naked in a sauna with strangers (had to be tried..) we feel completely reborn.

From the moment I arrived the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I was shown to my room and one of the bellmen showed me how everything worked and where everything was in the room The room itself was absolutely stunning – a spa room. There was a lovely view overlooking the golf course. The room was large, luxurious and spotless. It came with a two-person deep jacuzzi bath, its own individual sauna facility and a steam function in the shower. Even mood lighting in the bathroom! You were also able to adjust the beds firmness at the touch of the button which was a lovely touch. Another great feature was the privacy screen that came down over the balcony. As other reviews mentioned the facilities at the resort were excellent. It was lovely and hot during my visit, so I thoroughly enjoyed the outside pool. Sunbeds were plentiful and probably the most comfortable I have ever laid on. Having the mountains behind you really was an incredible view. The breakfast in the restaurant was plentiful and delicious. I especially enjoyed the prawns with dill and they had a wonderful variety of cheeses. You could also order eggs to your preference. All the staff were attentive and friendly. I also ate in the Italian restaurant once along with the golf course. Again, all food was very flavoursome. I can see why this hotel featured in a series on the BBC last year for the world’s most amazing hotels. From start to finish my visit was perfect and will be a memory I treasure forever. Would I return…? In a heartbeat!! Note to Mr Zanalari (General Manager): You have some wonderful staff who work at your amazing hotel. They go out of their way to make your stay the most comfortable and memorable possible. I would especially like to mention Esther on reception along with the lady who showed you to your seats in the breakfast area in the mornings. Thank you again for a wonderful couple of days!

Amazing place. Staff can't do enough for you, the food was fabulous and the room was incredible. We were upgraded but I can imagine all the other rooms are pretty wonderful too. Yes it is expensive but worth it.

This was an excellent experience all around. Staff is very well-trained and along professionalism and sincerity, knows about appropriate communication styles and behavior. Spa is nice. I had three signature rituals in spa and enjoyed a lot. Mrs Nicole has amazing technique and personality. Mr Meister has shown me spa suites where I am planning to stay next time and was very kind to explain about water tasting. I hope management will eventually renovate the rest of the hotel to fit the modern Spa suites and new Quellenhof.

I spent two days in Bad Ragaz and enjoyed very much all the facilities of the hotel. The family pool is really nice and the activities at the pool or at the children Villa were great. A big thank you to the lovely lady -Olga- who took care of my children there. They enjoyed it so much! The hotel is a bit old furnished but it is compensated by the nice atmosphere.

Right after having spent 10 hours skiing the day before at near ski resort of Laax, this is the place to go! A wise combination of indoor and outdoor pools, featuring all types of water cannons and temperatures ranging between 5 and 39º gives you a perfect set-up to spend two good hours of deep healing. Not to forget swimming outside at -11º and jumping to the outdoor jacuzzi...or to the snow

Overall we had a great stay ad the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. But for the reputation and the price of this hotel too much was not working. We were staying in one of their wonderful spa suites but the water clinic function of the toilet did not work, one side of the bed could not adjust the hardness and the remote of one of the tv's was not working. Considering their service and great amenities I usually would gladly come back but I am not paying the high fees, if several of their promised features are defect.

During my business career I was able to stay a many luxury resorts in the U.S. Having just retired and on a six week driving vacation in Europe, the nightly rate of this resort was above my normal price point but we decided to splurge. The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is one of my favorite all time resorts and by far the best hotel of our six week trip. The service was impeccable, the facilities in tip top shape, outstanding restaurants, and the private spa was excellent and well designed. This is the first hotel we will revisit on a return trip to Europe and was an awesome surprise for someone who had never heard of Bad Ragaz.

Fantastic weekend in an exceptional place. Incredible service for all family, dog included (got its own bed...). Exceptional food with special experience if you hit the Sunday grill buffet. Public thermal baths must be visited: water and architecture at top levels
