In the middle of beautiful Bad Nauheim

The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Television channels were lacking although coming to Bad Nauheim is more about getting around and not sitting around. If you come after 6pm, there is no one at the reception to greet you. An email will come in German and no English translation explaining how to get your key. Older place but that is part of the charm with it's Elvis room and Elvis shrine in the lobby. We didn't have the 12 Euro breakfast so no rating there. It is a short walk to all thing in the downtown shopping and sites to see area.

Excellent receptionist

The lady at the front desk was the kindest, most professional and accommodating person we‘ve ever experienced. She really makes it welcoming. The room is very clean and has everything we need including a mini bar.

More like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, with a friendly and enthusiastic hostess. The hotel is a historic old house full of antiques and delightful decorations. Delicious breakfast buffet with friendly service.

Very nice hotel in traditional style

The hotel interior is traditional and quite different from typical hotels, in a very positive way! When you step in it feels almost like a trip back in time. The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was amazing. The hotel is within a walking distance to the center and supermarkets. Parking is only by the street but it was no problem to find a free spot and it didn't cost anything. I hope I will have a chance to visit Hotel Spöttel again.

Classic Hotel in good location

ALL the staffs are friendly. 7 minutes walking distance to city center with good restaurants and shopping. Classical and good size suite with renovated bathroom. Very good breakfast and atmosphere. However, only street parking and the beds squeak (MUST replace).

Footsteps of the King

Lovely hotel in a quiet area. Breakfast was great. Particularly liked being able to have freshly squeezed orange juice. I've always wanted to see where Elvis Presley lived during his army service and Bad Nauheim didn't disappoint. Great hotel for exploring this wonderful spa town.

Great location

We stayed here for a few days while visiting family in the area, it's a great location close the park and all the sights. Staff was really nice and helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Rooms aren't very soundproof however but everything else was good

Fabulous

A wonderful hotel which has loads of traditional comforts, atmosphere and character. You will love it for it's olde world architecture, its charm, and you will especially love it if you are an Elvis fan!

Okay, for the price...

The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean, however the rooms are old and worn. Overall the hotel is in need of updating to modern standards. Parking on the street outside is a challenge if you're not use to parallel parking with little room to spare. The quality of the traditional German breakfast was the highlight of the stay!

Hotel Spottel Bad Nauheim, Germany

Hotel Spottel was in close walking distance to beautiful parks, great restaurants, and a thriving shopping area with unique stores. The hotel was very clean, the staff was terrific and extremely friendly, and the complimentary breakfast offered everyday was wonderful. It provided offerings for every palate. Transportation by taxi, bus, and train was conveniently located and very accessible. We have visited the Spottel for the last two years and will continue to do so. It has the quaint European charm that we desired situated in an area of picturesque architectural buildings and gorgeous landscaping. An additional plus was the "Elvis" festival held every year in August. He was alive and thriving for a week in this town providing lots of fun entertainment

Elegant!

This hotel was the "splurge" on our trip, and was worth it. It is a beautiful old building in a beautiful old town. The owner speaks English,but when she had trouble understanding me, or felt she wasn't able to communicate effectively, she called her adult daughter on the phone to translate. The breakfast buffet was spectacular, and the atmosphere was refined and elegant. Our room was - by European standards - large, and the bathroom was obviously the old balcony. But don't worry. This is a hotel where "quaint" and "charming ' do not not translate into cramped and rundown.

Noch nie so angaierte Mitarbeiter und Chefin im Hotel erlebt auch wenn das Mobiliar im Zimmer schon etwas älter wirken so ist die Sauberkeit und Funktionalität tip top das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich vielseitig und ausreichend es gab sogar einen ausgedruckten Wetterbericht vom 18.05.25 mit kleinem Rätsel, während des Frühstück trug die Eigentümerin noch eine Anekdote über Bad Nauheim von 1864 und dem Nachtwächter und das bohren nach Wasser sowie das Sprudelbad dar zu guter letzt wurde noch Erich Kästner rezitiert der über seinen Aufenthalt in Bad Nauheim Briefe an seine Bekannte verfasste alles in allem dieses Haus ist einen Besuch wert zumal auch noch viele Erinnerungen an "Den King" im Hotel zu sehen sind 👍👍👍👍
