Biggest hotel in Bad Bramstedt

It is an old fashioned hotel, probably the best in the area. But my room was very old and 'old fashioned'.... Bed OK... The bath needs definitely a refreshment. The common area are OK.. Nice bar... Anyway for the price paid....is ok.

This hotel was disappointing. We had selected TRYP Wyndham Bad Bramstedt because of Wyndham’s reputation and our previous experiences with the brand. Sadly it did not live up to our expectations. If you’re interested in why, buckle up. The hotel sits off the beaten path enough to make it inconvenient but not impractical. Check-in was fine. Nothing spectacular but smooth and uneventful. Our room was old and dirty. The color scheme, the furniture, and the layout were all reminiscent of a budget hotel. The paint on the balcony was peeling and there was a significant amount of mold both there and in the bathroom shower. I asked if I could pay for an upgrade to a larger room and was told that there were no larger rooms. I asked if I could pay for an upgrade to a newer room and was told that there were no newer rooms. At breakfast we were told to move to a different table because the one we sat in had already been cleaned. So we moved to a dirty table that had no clean flatware or coffee cups. The breakfast selection was sub-par when compared to the others we had visited on our trip.

Eastern Bloc Chic

Really old rooms, pink bathroom suite with a white seat. No Wi-Fi in my room. Lifts are really dodgy, even have a sign up saying no more than 3 people at a time allowed in the lift if they have luggage! Eastern bloc chic you could call it. Adjoined with a soviet style retirement complex.

Old and not that clean

We stayed here for a night. It was on our way through Germany to a friends house. Three of the towels in the bathroom were dirty. The others had a weird smell. The "One Double" bed, which usually means a queen size bed, was literally two beds pushed together. There was a wood frame down the middle of the two beds which made having our 4 month old sleep with us in bed (he was sick at the time) very difficult. Their descriptions need to change. I can't prove it, but my wife and i were itchy the whole night which we think was due to lots of bed bugs. Breakfast was OK. nothing was very appetizing. We had a few things and just hit the road. The only good thing about our particular room was the view over the trees. There is no WIFI internet here.

Car trip

The chef didn't know dill from parsley so my shrimp with dill cream sauce was awful. Actually I left it on the plate and they dressed my salad so I didn't eat that either. My husbands schnitzel was terrific, but a German resturante shouldn't mess that up.

Bargain at older hotel with friendly staff

If you want a good night's sleep and don't mind an aging hotel with friendly, helpful staff, this will be your favorite. If you're looking for state of the art, super new and in perfect repair, skip it. We loved it for our purposes.

Good stopover, tad difficult to find

Once you realise it is the tallest building resembling an 80's block of flats we fiund the hotel it us not however very well signposted in town. My satnav gave it as the Kirkenhoff onw would presume this was a previous name! Food was fair in bar( only option open) breakfast was superb with good mix of foid types. All in all a good place to stop over in for one night
