Nice average priced hotel. Clean and cool air-conditioned rooms. Courteous staff . Above all superb buffet breakfast and restaurant food. This is my second stay in this hotel and so far I have no regrets and intend to consider next time.
We stayed for 2 nights on a business trip and have no complaints. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful from check in to check out. It is easy to see why this is #1 of all the hotels in Bacolod. It is centrally located and seems to be the go to hotel for business clients when coming to Bacolod. The hotel is older but you can see updates throughout. Our room was very spacious and has seemed to have been remodeled in the not so distant past. The flooring was modern. The view from our room on the 3rd floor was straight out to the street in front of the hotel. Not much to look at but at least it was not loud as traffic went by. The only thing I would suggest is to put outlets closer to the bed. It is common to use a phone as an alarm and wanting it nearby to make sure to hear it. But it also has to be charged overnight for the following day. There are no outlets on the entire wall where the bed is located, forcing travelers to choose between charging or keeping it nearby. The breakfast buffet was very nice with plenty of selection. Even during busy times I never saw a food item run out, so the staff is very attentive. They were also very good with refills on water and coffee. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again when traveling to Bacolod.
Encountered a snobby frontdesk guy today March 6 at around 4:30pm. Frontdesk officers are the frontliners of the hotel they work for. If they are not accommodating then it will reflect on the entire hotel. We came from a very long and tiring trip and probably looked like we could not afford the cheapest room in the hotel but it should not have been the reason for the attitude, because if we can afford annual trips abroad then yes we can afford even your Royal Suite. Just sayin.
A great hotel if you are on a quick business trip. Spacious, albeit old rooms. Comfortable bed and quiet. Not so great view. Delicious but busy breakfast. Accommodating staff. Great location - nearby restaurants and bars.
Thanks for the wonderful experience. Aside from good food, the service is great. Special thanks to HIRO for being so accommodating. Great job! We will surely come back here when we get to visit Bacolod again.
We had our breakfast here and we certainly didin’t regret it. It was a buffet for Php 599 each. Quite expensive for an individual breakfast but it was worth it. What really left a mark on us was how courteous and accommodating were the staff. Shoutout to Hiro for being the best server we’ve had so far. You guys should keep the guy for as long as you could. Thank you, Hiro! ☺️☺️☺️
What I enjoyed here was the pool at the rooftop. The hotel is located in the heart of the city where there are several walking distance coffee shops, restaurants and 24/7 convenience stores. So accessible!
There are not too many hotels in the city. L'Fisher is very decent, clean, and practical. They recently renovated rooms. No noise pollution heard from the rooms, unlike in other hotels. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you are visiting Bacolod.
Probably the best hotel for Now. The breakfast buffet is mostly excellent (they take their sweet time to refill). And the wifi is spotty at best. Last time, I asked if wifi was working. front Office said yes. I checked in. Got in room. Called front Office to say wifi wasnt working and she said yes. They were having problems with wifi. Seriously?
I like Bacolod, also known at the city of smiles. The ride to the airport is always interesting due to cars and trucks not using their headlights at dusk; at this time of the evening, it's more like the city of ghosts, where shadows cross the arteries at their own peril. When in the city I stay at the L'Fisher, which for a while has been the best hotel available with western standards. It is deemed a 4 stars but it's more a 3 stars depending on the benchmark. Still the L'Fisher is quite decent with its interior court set up, where the rooms on 4 floors are set in a rectangle looking down to the lobby and restaurant. Use the stairs because the elevator is quite small while the stairs are wide and easy. During the Holidays, it is a joy to leave your room and be enveloped by piano and violin music along with children's choir, all happenings in the lobby - I highly recommend a visit in Nov-Dec for old time Christmas tradition. Overall, the hotel is well situated with a huge mall nearby and a bank across the street where you will pay more to exchange your currency than at the hotel. That being said the hotel will only exchange perfect bills, no nix, tear or otherwise - which is funny because money changes hands so much, it hardly stays pristine! There is also Calea, a pastry shop, filled with a loyal clientele waiting to be served. East in or take out, they make a wonderful chocolate ganache cake as well as a mocha cake that will satisfy your coffee craving. The restaurant inside the L'Fisher has an extensive buffet for breakfast each morning and if you can't find your fancy, they can also make to order for you. If ordering wine, be specific as this is not their way of life. Everyone at the L'Fisher is affable and helpful - I have yet to find push back after 3 visits from any staff. It is a credit to the Filipino people to be so good with customer service. If you can't tip on the moment because you don't have the currency, the service remains excellent - when you catch up later with the tip, they light up with joy, so don't be cheap, tip them - they work hard and are consistent. My reason for giving a 3 stars is that for a while the L'Fisher was the best there was and sort of sat on its laurels, but now two other hotels are being built that, we shall see, are 4 stars level. I found during this last visit, that the hotel had done some renovations and is doing some updating now. It's not perfect, the lamp shades are still crooked, the internet slow, and bathroom somewhat still antiquated but it's obvious that an effort is being made. What keeps me coming back is the employees of L'Fisher - they are key to this hotel retaining their customers. Outside of the hotel, there are plenty restaurants available but not all equal in cleanliness - which is the downside for me when eating out! I tend to avoid it and stay at the hotel, which is not the best for their economy but until they clean up, I'm not a fan. Back to the L'Fisher - there are two parts to the hotel, the main area and the Chalet - if you can help it, ask for the main area as the Chalet is less quiet from both the banquet halls and the outside street noise plus you have to exit to re-enter if your room is in the Chalet section.
