We had a nice 3 days at this very nice hotel. The people there were very friendly and we received a good service. The room was spacious and well maintained. The hotel is well located, close to downtown and some sport accommodation units. For sure recommended!
To expensive for this bad, hot and noisy room. Breakfest was colt and sober. The owner was rude and had no attention of our problem. Breakfest was also to expencive and we thought that it was in the (high) price
Clean and spacious room. The staff helped us well and gave us good tips about the village and good places to eat. (Restaurant Cantil!) A lot of activity to do in the neighbourhood. We did have a great walk around 'le ninglinspo'.
We were content with the room. It was expected to have a view on the river, however you could only see the bridge over the river. The host was a very gentle man. in the morning he prepared a good breakfast. Overall it was good.
This was our third stay at the hotel. As always we recieved a warm welcome from the owner. A garage was provided for our cycles. The Hotel is well located for the local shops and bars but we had travelled over to go cycling and the location is perfect for riding the roads which are used in the Ardennes Classics. We eat in the restaurant on Saturday evening and the food was fantastic. We look forward to returning next year and staying in this excellent family run hotel.
Very nice family logis right in the heart of the village, decent restaurant nice rooms and friendly staff, good breakfast and has a bit of parking as well! Great location for cycling with many climbs of leige-bastogne-leige right on your doorstep!
We stayed here while visiting the Spa 6 Hour race. Having read what it says here on Tripadvisor, I was wondering what we might find. We were greeted by a friendly man who gave us the key to our room. The room was clean and spacious. There was a water cooler and tea and coffee making facilities There was plenty of wardrobe space. I liked the bathroom, the shower and wash basin were in a separate room to the toilet. There were television channels from around Europe, but none were English speaking. We had a nice nights sleep and left early for the circuit, so I can't comment on the quality of breakfast, as we didn't eat at the hotel. I have been scathing in my reviews of poor quality on Tripadvisor. I am not criticising this hotel, because there is nothing wrong with it. Would I stay here again? Yes Aywaille is a nice little town with plenty of places to eat. Not many are listed on Tripadvisor. There is also a locally produced beer, and it is good.
I tried to cancel my booking after seeing the bad reviews on here, but couldn't. And I'm glad that I didn't. I returned just today and have to say it was a lovely characterful hotel, staff were excellent, spoke English and let us arrive very late to check in. Room was large, clean, had many ameneties and no problems at all. No smells or loud noises. The road isn't that noisy, it's just the main road through a village so there's not exactly a lot of traffic passing. The town is beautiful with a river, scenic hills, old buildings, war memorial right by the hotel. I was instantly utterly bemused by the bad ratings it has had in reviews below and must assume they are otherwise motivated. I would recommend this hotel. The triple room is a good cost effective option for groups of 3. The only downside is it's quite a long (but fun, twisty) drive from Spa race track.
We booked this room as it was the only hotel room still available in the area at the date that we needed. The hotel is situated in a small village but by a very busy road, the cars pass all night. The room was shabby to say the least. The sheets were clean but really old and worn. The matrass was a disaster, no way anyone can sleep well in a bed like that!!! The only good thing I can say for the bathroom is that there was warm water. When the neighbours use their bathroom you will hear it as if it is in your own room! The breakfast was ok. So if you still decide to go there... you have been warned.
We booked tis hotel by internet, but arriving there was pure disappointment: - The location is at a highly frequend road before a rock wall: Therefore, traffic noise is not only on the frontsside, but as reflection on the back, too. - The windows are old, contained only simple glass panes and provided by now means any noise protection. - The furniture is old, dusty and partly primitive. - The stares are so small and steep, that older people have difficulties to go to the 2nd floor, and young people hardly get the luggage to the rooms. In conclusion, for what it is the price was too high. We finally got a better (and quieter) hotel 7 km from there to the south (in Harze), paying a second time.
