The hotel is a good location near to the slopes. The Black Diamond Bistro is a great restaurant.

Checkout @ 10 am ? Check in after 4 pm? Unbelievable. When we asked to have it at least at 12 pm, they had to involved the manager for nothing, 10 am !

Great location! Plenty of room for everyone! Spa, pool and hot tubs were great. Fireplaces hard to keep going and restaurants a little pricey especially for breakfast, but all in all would definitely go back!

Great place. Very clean staff was very helpful and took great care of us.

Hotel was nicer than expected. Felt like it had European style to it. Had a vintage charm to it. Room was very cozy. Getting around between the buildings and the parking garage was a bit confusing but there are maps to help out. I'd stay there again.

Nice hotel just room needed updating. Also, better quality mattress.

When we first arrived we were given keys to a room that was, quite frankly, depressing. It was on the ground floor, it was hot, dark, and stuffy, and its one window looked out onto the corner of a concrete courtyard. I asked the front desk staff if a different room was available, and they upgraded us (for no charge) to a beautiful corner room that overlooked the trees and the pool. So, the property itself gets 4 stars because rooms like the first one exist and I sympathize if you get stuck in one at high season. But staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful!

Great experience at Charte Club with all activities. Restaurants great. Staff very friendly

I haven’t been to this hotel for 4 years. It is a little tired.. At check out Mary told me I owed for my stay. I bought this through Orbitz, I’d already paid and had my email confirmation. She insisted on calling one department then another to see how to deal with this. We finally left with her taking my number so that she could let me know it was settled. No phone call was ever made. No further change on my credit card so she must have found someone to figure it out. The room rate she was asking me to pay was about $100 less than what I’d paid, by the way.

We love the Charter; have been coming here for years. The only disappointment was the previously fantastic breakfast, which was super downsized this time (we weren't here last year; change might have occurred then). But still love the convenience of the location; the comfort; the sauna, steam rooms and hot tubs!

First, note that as an Orbitz customer, you might get the absolute worst view in the entire complex. We were first given a room that overlooked the entrance to the parking garage. I went back to the desk to ask if we could be moved, and after a few minutes on the phone, I was told that no, that was the best they could do. I heard the desk employee mention several times that it was a "wholesale" reservation. Meanwhile, my husband was talking to the parking attendant and was told that the property wasn't even half full and it would be best to talk to the evening manager because he was usually more helpful. So, we deposited our stuff, and walked up to the center village for something to eat. When we came back, I again went to the desk, and this time we were moved. The second view, while still not stellar, was at least pleasant. On a whole the property is very nice, clean and comfortable. It is a short walk to the center of the village, which is pleasant in the summer, but may be more of a problem in full ski gear. I believe that there is a a shuttle that takes you to the lifts during ski season. I have stayed here before, many years ago, and booked here due to a little bit of nostalgia. But I will probably stay somewhere more conveniently located when we return.

We enjoyed our stay there very much......and the staff are excellent.

Love the location. Close to the BC lifts and ski shops. The staff was super friendly. The hotel decor is somewhat dated, but it's fine for the family ski trip. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced with a good selection of breakfast fair. Would return.

Hotel Staff were very friendly and efficient at getting us checked in and settled in our room Great facility; both the room and the Hot Tubs / Pool were outstanding. Wood-burning fireplace was great. Ski In / Out are fantastic and the place is well maintained.

Always great can not complain you feel home on this hotel.

Excellent spa! Great Housekeeping. Front desk service was slow and inattentive.

Perfect in every way except at checkout front desk implied a negative to have booked with Orbitz instead of directly with Hotel.

Pool was perfect. People were very nice. Price for room very reasonable

Went for a relaxing getaway. The room had a spectacular view of the mountains. There was enough activities for the kids to keep themselves occupied while the adults relaxed. Excellent location with fine dining and family friendly dining within walking distance. Friendly and knowledgeable staff made the stay even more pleasurable.

To be satisfied with The Charter you need to know what you're getting. As the title indicates, it is a great value alternative to the extremely expensive slopeside lodging in Beaver Creek Village. If you stay at the Charter and compare it to the luxury, location, amenities, quality, etc. of places like the Park Hyatt you will be disappointed. My wife and son stayed at the Charter on a last minute spring break trip and went the value route and booked a lodge room with 2 beds. It was a pretty tired room with a tiny bathroom and dated furnishings. My wife saved the day when she negotiated a discounted upgrade to a 1 BR suite. The furnishings were much much better and more updated. It was still not the Park Hyatt, but we were very happy with it at less than half the price... The Charter calls itself ski-in, ski-out, but that is a bit of a stretch. I imagine that most guests take the very short shuttle ride to/from the lifts. It's very easy and convenient. The Black Diamond Bistro is good and the staff is excellent - especially the bartenders. The property is a sprawling maze with six buildings, but once you understand the layout it is not a big deal. At night it is a very short walk to BC Village. Overall, if money is no object I would stay at the Park Hyatt or somewhere else that is truly slopeside/ski-in, ski-out, but I would definitely stay at the Charter again if I was working within a budget.

Thank you for staying with us and providing your valuable feedback. Our standard check in time is 4pm and I very much apologize if your unit was not ready at that point in time. If this was the case please let me know so that I can look into this further. Our standard check out time is at 10am and I again apologize if we were unable to accommodate a 12pm check out as late check outs are subject to availability. With the incredibly good snow we've been having this season our property has been sold out on a regular basis which if we have a same day arrival for a unit we do need to have the ability to turn that unit around for our arriving guests.
