Really clean, loved the short walk over the dunes pathway to the beach. Wonderful family house to spend the week together. Couple of nice restaurants within easy walk. We really liked the Froggy Dog seafood. Property is somewhat dated but worked great for us.

Fall fishing
Great spot on the beach. Caught loads of blue fish and some red drum.
We enjoyed our stay. The house had adequate space in a very nice location that was not super busy but had enough shopping and retail close by. The beach was great and close by. The house really needs some updating and organizing.
The house was very clean and the location great but this house could use some attention and updating. The screens on the porch were torn, the vinyl floor and some of the walls were very stained. There were only 2 of us and we were fine with the space but imagine that if all the bedrooms were full, the house would feel very cramped.

Experuence was good. furniture needed some care. Only 1 beach chair. Could have used another. Screen porch needed repairs. Rips in 2 areas. No comfortable seating on porch. Overall the property was ok.

Needs work
The only thing this home has going for it is the location. The house itself is in disrepair. “Screened porch” has ripped screens and no door, outdoor shower is completely rusted and unusable. Just about everything in the house is outdated and on its last legs. The only thing worse than the house was the customer service. We submitted a maintenance request on day 1 of our vacation and followed up several times to no avail—and we were there for two weeks! We were told that our problem was not a priority.

Liked: Check-in, location
The location was absolutely perfect—truly a 10 out of 10. Just steps from the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We couldn’t have asked for a more convenient spot. One of the highlights of the house itself was the screened-in porch. We spent a lot of time out there as a family, and it was such a nice addition—shaded, breezy, and peaceful. That space really made a difference and gave us a place to relax outside.Unfortunately, the inside of the house didn’t live up to the same standard. It was very outdated, and honestly felt neglected. The beds were uncomfortable, and the mattresses are long overdue for an upgrade—replacing them would go a long way. The kitchen was a letdown too. The oven never fully preheated even after an hour, and only two of the four stove burners worked. The fridge’s ice maker made a loud grinding noise that was hard to ignore. To add to that, the master bathroom shower did not drain properly during use, which made for a pretty unpleasant experience.Cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. Several areas looked like they hadn’t been dusted in quite some time, which made the space feel even more worn down.In short, while the location and the screened-in porch were positives, the house itself really needs attention. We wouldn’t stay here again unless some significant updates were made.

A few irksome things
Things that were great about this house:
1. The location is great. A short walk to the beach that isn't super difficult. The beach there is clean and not crowded at all. Several good restaurants and food places within easy walking distance.
2. Kitchen was pretty well stocked with supplies. Plenty of pots and pans, baking dishes, knives (so many knives), and cooking utensils.
Some things that made the house less than great:
1. The 2 big burners on the stovetop were barely functional. You might be able to melt butter on them. We had to alter our cooking plans a bit to only use the small burners and the oven.
2. The porch is screened in, but there are 2 big holes in the screens, and the door is just flat out missing, so bugs were an issue when sitting on the porch in the evening. The sliding doors to the living/dining rooms also lack screens, so we also couldn't open up the main living area without letting the bugs in, which was a real shame because the evenings were really nice outside.
3. Aside from a few very small rugs, the entire house is all floored with linoleum. It's easy to sweep, but it also means that you're feeling sand and dust constantly while walking around barefoot, and it just didn't feel very warm and homely. A short area rug in the living room and around the beds would have done wonders to the feel of the place.
