The house was perfect for our needs. The walk to the beach is literally across the street! The only cons were we were: 1. The door wouldn’t unlock when we got there on a Sunday night. And the door was sticky trying to get in and out. It also took 30 minutes to get someone on the phone to help us while we were locked out. That was a stressful time. Vacasa was much more responsive the rest of the week and the customer service people were great!2. only given 2 garbage bags for the week. They should really supply at least 3 bags.

Thanksgiving getaway

House was nice and enough room for us. Nice location and nice that the beach was just a short walk away. Neighbors are friendly. House you can tell had some weather damage to it at some point. Hope home owners are working on getting that fixed.

This property was perfect for us. Third row put us so close to the beach. It takes maybe two minutes to be on the beach and it was wide open space and not crowded like many. We had coastal fishing licenses and a vehicle permit and were able to drive on the beach to the perfect spot to spend the day. Love being able to have the dogs with us. Will mention that dog shoes are a great idea not only for hot sand and hot pavement but also for sand spur protection. The new flooring and updated bathroom along with updated kitchen appliances was fantastic. We will definitely book again. We had a problem with the door lock but one phone call and all was taken care of.

Lovely little cottage

Overall was a great experience the inside was absolutely charming, the outside could use something paint and a good powerwash. They had internet and roku plug in. The tv itself has no internet connection older tv. Had no remote for the roku so couldn't use the tv. It was very clean.

Great Getaway

This little house was a great resting point while we ran up and down the outer banks. Really close beach access with a place to leave your shoes. Fairly quiet area in early May. Depending on who rents around you of course. Make sure to bring some cookware of you plan to do any major cooking, not many pots and pans. The couches are old and itchy, may want to bring a cover. Other than those things,we really had a great time on our stay.

The house is in a great location, just across from the public walkway leading to the beach. It’s priced considerably lower than the other rental homes in the neighborhood so it’s understandable that there are some negatives. The floors are slanted, mold on windows, and what appears to be tooothpaste stains on the bathroom walls. The beds are comfortable but I would suggest bringing your own pillows. There is a full size washer/dryer located outside of the home. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed to cook with throughout the week. If you are on a budget, this home is liveable for a week, but we are going to save some extra money and upgrade to a more updated rental next summer.

Public beach access walkway is across the street, down one house. Dune access is approximately 70 yards from house steps. But sand path through dunes is approximately 70 yards to wide spacious beach. House was clean with beds made. Typical outer banks cottage with one bathroom and one TV. New washer and dryer. Concrete pad under house had not been swept/blown by landscaper or housekeeping.

Basic house, short walk to ocean. The AC was not working for the first 4 days of our stay which made it quite uncomfortable to be in the house. We checked in Sunday they fixed it on Wednesday. I guess after reading other reviews from the guest book in the house, they had been having problems with AC since July. They called me on Monday to tell me that the Technician would be there on Wednesday to fix it. Unfortunately the first half of the vacation we were not comfortable in the house as it was so hot. I wish they had told me about the issue ahead of time. They did have window units in the bedrooms which were very loud and made it hard to sleep but at least it was cool in there. Other than than that we enjoyed our stay. The location was great. Short walk to beach and to a few local restaurants and coffee spots.

Changed check in and check out times to 6pm and 8am after booking.

The property was great. Long walk to the beach. Also, the code for the door lock didn't work when I got there and my family had to wait in our car for 2 hours, after a 7 hour car drive to get there. Careful booking before a holiday or you may be waiting to get in.
