This is a good, basic hotel with no frills. There is only a cafe bar for food and we ate out and found a good breakfast along the street. There is underground parking at the hotel with plenty of room for 10 euros - good value to keep your car safe. If you are trying to find this hotel, come to it from the northern side not the southern side. If you are coming from the south, take the 3rd exit on the motorway in the direction of Madrid. It is virtually impossible to drive into the hotel from the south as the Walled Castle is in the way. The receptionist only spoke Spanish but my rudimentary Spanish was adequate. To improve this hotel, they need to extend the bar into a restaurant.

This is a modest hotel but with all the necessary. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the necessary. No fridge in the room nor kettle. It is not located in the city centre, but Ávila is not very big, just a nice walk. Breakfast buffet had all the necessary, excellent coffee and attentive staff. The gym is really good. This is a good option to travel with family.

The hotel don Carmelo is located very close to the train and bus stations but a bit far from the town centre (more than 1 km). Considering that most of the way is a pleasant walk through a garden, this is not a problem if you don't mind walking and you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the town. Our room (a double, No. 405) was big enough and functional, spotlessly clean, decorated in the seventies-eighties style and provided with AC. The wi-fi connection in room was virtually useless, being very weak and unreliable. The bed was a three-quarter one. In the bathroom, there were a bathtub and a bidet. The breakfast buffet (which costs 7 € per person) is large and of good quality. They also serve decent meals at lunch and dinner. All in all, for 45 €, I would choose it again. Oh, one last thing: the main entrance could be awkward for those with walking difficulties (several steps and no ramp). In case of need, I suppose one could get in through the door of the restaurant, on the left.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights in february of this year. It is a fair walk to the center and it's attractions but served our purpose. Personnel polite, breakfast normal variety and room with a decent view of the street covered in snow at that time! Quiet except for some traffic noise before midnight and clean enough. Luggage was kept for us in a pile along with a mountain of other cases on the day we were leaving which made us a bit nervous! Was a difficult time to get a reservation as we came for the 'coming out 'parade of the newly sworn in police so in the hotel as with Avila in general, we felt they took all the visitors a bit for granted during this time. Was a good enough hotel for what we wanted and if you wish to visit this beautiful city, this hotel is on par with all others.

Era tarde como para mirar al llegar a Avila por que íbamos perdidos y ademas estaba muy oscuro como para mirar los postes con los anuncios de los nombres de hoteles, pero al ver el primer hotel que se veía a la primera vista. Habíamos decidido alojar ahí mismo sin observar otros Hoteles. Después de alojarnos, y observar sobre cada situación tanto como la recepción y el bar. Para mi tenemos suerte de que hemos sido bien atendidos con buen grado gracias al recepcionista por atendernos con paciencia porque somos sordos y al camarero de la barra por explicarnos sobre la ubicación y darnos el plano para que pudiéramos ir a cenar en el centro, y a la vez, visitar el maravilloso castillo. Afortunadamente que esta a 10 minutos, andando . Así que no había problema por que había autobús que dejaba al lado del hotel. Eso fue fenomenal. Y la camarera que nos atendieron en la hora de desayuno.

Fui por tema de trabajo un par de veces. El.hotel esta bien situado cerca de la estacion, del centro, de la zona de bares... Las habitaciones limpias y normalitas. Lo que me parece es un pelin caro, al menos la habitación individual pero en general esta bien.

Somos opositores ,y nos desplazamos a Ávila para hacer las pruebas fisicas.Hicimos la reserva hace meses y la única opción es pago sin reembolso desde el momento de la reserva, por lo que no tienes otra posibilidad,es decir que si te pasa algo durante este tiempo el dinero ya lo pierdes,el 100% de importe,81 euros exactamente! Al llegar al hotel resulta que por problemas de cobertura al hacer la reserva, hicimos 2 de dos habitaciones sin querer. Llegamos al hotel y nos explican el tema, solución? ninguna!!! pagas por dos habitaciones ,utilizas una y la otra te la comes con patatas!!!y con toda la cara!!!se supone que somos opositores y en vez de facilitartelo ,vienes aquí a que te roben en dinero!!!suerte q somos nosotros q si fuesen otros se lo cobrarían a su manera...

Esta bien aunque algo antiguo. Fácil aparcamiento. Está un poco retirado del centro. El personal muy amable. Chica de Cádiz muy simpática. Habitación triple todo normal. Aire acondicionado funciona perfectamente.

Únicamente pasamos una noche. El descanso regular porque las almohadas eran muy finas. Ducha algo estrecha. Pero todo muy limpio que al final es lo que más importa. Está a unos 10-15’ andando del casco antiguo/muralla.

Es un hotel tranquilo, limpio y correcto pero muy antiguo. Está ubicado en una zona perfecta para quien tenga que coger bus o tren, está justo al lado de ambas estaciones. La habitación tiene pocos enchufes. El baño estaba muy limpio. El hotel tiene zonas para desconectar e incluso gimnasio pero todo es de pago
