Please be aware that access to the property requires navigating a narrow alley, which may not be suitable for larger cars or trucks. Additionally, the driveway is compact, so we recommend smaller vehicles for ease of access. 1. CHECK IN /CHECK OUT - Check in time is 4:00 PM. Check out time is 11:00 AM. Unless otherwise authorized by Guest Haus.
2. PARTIES AND EVENTS - We do not allow parties, loud gatherings or events of any sort to be held in the property. We greatly appreciate your compliance on this as we do not want any issues with our neighbors or the city. Any reports or evidence of a party or organized event taking place will lead to an immediate vacation of the property, without reimbursement.
3. NOISE - Please keep the noise level down after 10 p.m., in accordance with the city bylaws and to not disturb the neighbors.
4. BROKEN ITEMS - Please inform Guest Haus of any damages or broken items noticed upon your arrival. Furthermore, accidents happen and if something breaks during your stay, please inform us, in order for us to replace or repair it prior to a following Guest`s stay.
5. NEIGHBORS - Guests must notify Guest Haus of any complaints from neighbors as soon as possible.
6. PETS - We do not allow pets or animals of any sort. Any evidence of pets or animals will be subject to an additional cleaning fee of $250.
7. SMOKING - Smoking is not permitted inside the property, or outside while still in the premises of the property. Any evidence of smoking on the property premises will incur an additional cleaning fee of $500.
8. VISITORS - Guests are responsible for their visitors. Visitors must comply with the House Rules, and Guests will be held liable for any violation as if the violation was carried out by the Guests.
9. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING - Guests are to dispose of garbage and recycling into the allocated bins. Excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas.
10. SECURITY - Guests must ensure that all doors and windows are properly locked every time they leave the property, and at the end of their stay. Failure to maintain the security of the property (locking doors and windows) will result in a $200 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages/theft that occur during their stay.
11. BBQ GRILL - If you plan to use BBQ - please only do so if you are familiar with propane gas grills. If you need help or guidance please call management. This is to ensure your safety. The BBQ grill is in the backyard and is propane gas operated. We ask that Guests clean up the grill after each use, including pouring out the drip pan. Failure to do so may incur a grill cleaning fee of $100.
When finished using the grill, please ensure that the propane valve AND grill burners are shut off. Failure to do so may damage the property and Guests will be held liable for any damage that result.
12. FIREWORKS - The use of fireworks anywhere on the property premises is strictly forbidden, subject to a a $500 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.
13. PARKING - Guests must park vehicles in the driveway in front of the property, in the garage or on the street where parking is permitted. Keep off the grass or anyone else`s property and do not park in the alleyway.
14. REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS - Every attempt is made to maintain the property in the best of condition. Guest Haus does not guarantee that appropriate repair and or replacement will be performed during the Guests` stay. It is the Guests` responsibility to immediately notify Guest Haus of any issues with the property during their stay so that repairs and or replacement may be promptly taken care of to the best of the Guest Haus` ability.
Guest Haus is not responsible for any occurrences to which we have no immediate control. These inconveniences include but are not limited to: weather conditions, power outages, road conditions or breakage of non-essential appliances (including, but not limited to: dishwasher, grill, pool heater, washer and dryer)
*Please inform us if any of the equipment in the house is not operating correctly. We will make every reasonable effort to make repairs as quickly as possible.
15. TOILET - Do not flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. This can cause plumbing issues and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.

Overall, the place was good. The inside was as pictured, the beds were comfortable, and the inside was clean. The owner was super responsive and helpful. The location was close to a lot of cool places to eat and shop.
It was a bit tight for 5 people to hang out downstairs, probably better for 4 or less people. We couldn’t park in the garage as there was furniture and boxes in it, so some of us had to park on the street. The outside was not quite as manicured as the pictures show.
Overall, a nice stay and we enjoyed it.

Wonderful home!
The house was very comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated.. The beds and pillows were excellent and everything felt very clean. The yard area was very nice but we didn’t use it since it was very hot and humid but we would like to come back and enjoy it in cooler months. The neighborhood was great with lots of nearby coffee, breweries and restaurants and it was within walking distance. We also rented bikes for a day and ride along the river path. My only comment would be that the kitchen was not equipped with things I have had at other properties I have stayed at such as coffee, tea, seasonings etc… so if you plan on cooking and eating at home you would need to pick up these items however we went out everyday so this was not an issue for us. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Austin! A fabulous stay!

House was clean and perfect size for me and my daughter! Convenient location in a safe neighborhood. A couple of things to consider: like other reviewers mentioned, house is only accessible through a back alley and driveway is just a little tight. Also, only TV is downstairs in the living room. Still would recommend and would stay here again!

Gem in convenient East Austin!
This property was soooooooo cute! We loved the outdoor space - especially the fire pit as we had some cool evenings! East Austin has a lot to offer within walking distance. It’s a very up and coming area. You can walk to Rainey St./downtown from here, safely, in about 40 minutes. The communication with the owner was excellent. Ubers were easily had from the home as well. We loved our long weekend in this rental! Book ASAP and enjoy Austin!

Eastside, centrally located, charming home
We loved our stay near the University. Close to everything, walkable to fun, east side pubs, coffee cafes and dining. The house is located in the back of a large 2 home lot with its own rear street entrance. Home was very well appointed! Perfect for 2, no more than 4. Each bedroom has its own lovely bathroom, great water pressure. Cute working kitchen though we only utilized the fridge, there are so many excellent & diverse choices of restaurants to choose from! Loved the large couch for curling up on while watching movies on the big screen TV. Great outdoor area, compared to most, though unfortunately residential areas can be prone to mosquitos, so don’t forget the outdoor spray. Only complaint was that the outdoor garbage cans were tightly packed, over the brim, and never emptied. Great house, would definitely rent again!
