Most of the main Austin attractions are with in a short distance as well. This property is perfect for a single person on a couple with all the amenities that are need. Pet Friendly as well! Not a good place
Very small and weird unit in an old and run-down building. Short lumpy bed. No workspace. No internet. Not recommended.

Icy Days in Austin
My trip was unfortunately interrupted by a very dangerous ice storm. I awoke after my first night with a large limb having knocked in the front door. After reaching out to the property owner, they quickly relocated me. Both location that I stayed in were perfect, the location was close enough to down town, markets for shopping and was a nice quiet area of town. I would highly recommend staying at this location!

Impromptu visit
The room was very cute and served our purposes well. It was close to the places that we like to go. We would have liked to know about the steepness of the stairs and the daytime parking situation in advance. We also did not have very hot water for showers.

Host quickly solved problem
Stayed at the property and showed up (at 10pm) to an un-cleaned unit. The cleaners apparently didn't show up and they place was a mess. Sent a message to the host and she immediately moved us to a (better) unit next door, which turned out to be an upgrade overall. If that unit wasn't available, I'm not sure what we would have done. But she did make it right in the span of about 5 minutes, so for that it went from 1-star to 4-star review.

Get Host
We are very happy with our experience. We have two small dogs so we needed a property that would allow us to bring them. Check in process was great. We woke up the next morning and realized we had no hot water. We contacted the host. The water heater was out. So she offered us a larger nicer place to stay. We understand things happen. We were pleased with the whole experience

Aweful
Filters on pictures do amazing things. This place was dark, dank and moldy, entirely too small for any sort of relaxation (except for laying in bed), no comfortable furniture, blinds were dirty and broken, and the shower floor was very slick. The biggest issue was the make-shift staircase that I nearly fell down and the 2nd floor is noticeably slanted. The staircase is very narrow, the steps are all different heights and they all slant. They were difficult to get up and down. If you have any leg, knee, back or foot issues you will not be able to use them. safely,. The power strip upstairs has been chewed on and you are missing an electric outlet cover behind the bed and the freezer in the refrigerator is iced over. We did not want to use the washer and dryer-it's outside locked behind plastic doors and filthy. We did not feel safe. It really put a damper on our vacation as we had nowhere to relax after a day of site-seeing. We were afraid to bring food in for fear it would attract bugs. The yard around the house is a mess and breeding mosquitos which found their way into the living space. All of our luggage came home smelling of mildew. The blinds upstairs did nothing to block the wall of security lights on the back of the apartment building next door. The neighbors come and left at all times slamming the door behind them which rattled the whole house. We felt this was a very unhealthy environment. We couldn't go anywhere else as it was a race weekend and everything was booked. It really killed the trip. I have sent a complaint to the owner and have received no response. We also paid roughly $300/night surge pricing because of the F1 race. We could have found a decent hotel room for that but the location and pictures were attractive. We made the wrong choice.

Great place close to downtown
This was a perfect place for a trip with my wife and dogs. It had everything we needed — a kitchen, bed, and bathroom. Additionally, it had a shared yard with other tenants in the building and a driveway for parking, but was still walking distance to downtown and other sights. It was surprisingly quiet being so close to downtown and the surrounding area seemed very safe. The owner was friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking to visit Austin and needing a place with the essentials.

Horrifying
The property is disturbing. Maybe at $50.00 a night, it could be except able, but not a penny's more. I could not move, it was so cramped. There was mouse poop in the kitchen, the staircase is so narrow my service dog could not help me; nor, could he make it up to the single bed "space"himself, it was too difficult, about a foot in width and depth per step.(I hope you have small feet.)
If you have lived in a condemned space before, you would be okay, but if you have not, you will regret the reservation. Also, I insured my stay and apparently the realtors feel they are the "scam disciples", and made up some phony non-sense that just re-affirms the lack of honesty, and character, even self respect, these people are working towards. I mean come on, as if "we the people", have no voice of value! I hope all vacationers are aware, pictures are deceiving, don't let them deceive you!

Nice location. Property needs some work.
The property met our needs for a bed at night and coffe in the morning but is in need of some love and attention. Towels were thread bare, mold in the shower, a broken fence outside and a storm window falling off. It was in a great location for us, though, so it was fine for 4 days.

Great Location but Terrible WiFi
My fiancé and I had a lovely stay in Austin and this loft was a great find.
Pros:
Location is fantastic, we were able to walk all over but could still retreat back to the loft with out feeling like we were in the middle of a city
Very clean and detailed instructions were left so there was no guessing
Cons:
Very small so if you plan on hanging out in the loft there really isn't much comfortable sitting space
The wifi.... hopefully you are on vacation and don't need to access the internet. If you do the wifi is painfully slow and doesn't have enough power to open up most webpages with out timing out. I used my phone data if we needed to look anything up.

Very Accommodating Property Manager
We were in Austin during a record setting hot weekend, and our place was not cooling down. When I notified the property manager, she very quickly re-accommodated us to place that was more spacious and cool- in about a 5-10 minute turn around time.

Nicely fixed up on the inside in a great location.
The loft is nicely fixed up, and is in a great part of town. It is close to a good bakery and coffee shop, a nice Tex Mex restaurant, and an Oyster bar. It is also easy walking distance to the main Whole Foods which has lots of internal restaurants for eat in or take out.
There is not much seating area. The "love seat" downstairs would be tight with 2 people on it. So if you want to hang out, you really need to sit in the bed upstairs. The bed is pretty soft, so if you have back problems it could be an issue.
The door has an electronic lock which is great. There are no hassles dealing with keys. You just use the combination that the owner sends to you.
Overall, if you plan to use the place mostly to sleep and shower in the morning, it is a great place. If you plan on spending a lot of time hanging out, you might find it a bit small and uncomfortable.

Convenient to restaurants, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's
If you're headed to Austin and don't want a rental car, this is a great place to stay (if you do, there's easy, free street parking right out front).
There are several restaurants right around the corner on 6th street. It's also within a half mile walk to TJs and WFs. The kitchenette is surprisingly roomy in here, although the fridge is small. The owner even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy. ;)
Head up a (very narrow, steep) set of stairs and you're in the bedroom area with the bathroom attached. Careful on those stairs if you're tired or have sore knees!

Great Location, Perfect for Exploring Downtown
The studio is located in a very cute and quiet neighborhood. To get to the famous part of 6th street it's about a 10-15 minute walk. The studio itself is near tons of great restaurants and is a 5 minutes walk from the original Whole Foods. It's the perfect spot for either a couple or a single person. It's extremely clean, the shower was wonderful, and the bed is comfy. My boyfriend and I had a great time and would definitely stay here again.
