I would like to share my experience with this Vrbo rental. When we arrived, we were disappointed to find that the counters in the bathroom and kitchen, as well as the couch, were quite dirty. Moreover, upon inspecting the bedding, we discovered dirt on the pillowcases, numerous debris and hair on the sheets. We promptly documented these issues with photos and sent them to the property manager.
The property manager offered to send someone over the next day to address the cleanliness concerns. However, given the immediate need for a clean living space, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We went to Target to purchase cleaning supplies and returned to the apartment to clean and do laundry, which extended until midnight.
We reached out to the property manager again, expressing our dissatisfaction with the state of the apartment. He offered to refund our cleaning deposit, but when we informed him that we had to spend a considerable amount of time cleaning and doing laundry just to make the space habitable, he was unwilling to compensate us for that night.
It's important to note that the property manager's offer to send someone over was for the following day, making it impractical for us to wait in the unclean conditions. Additionally, we discovered soiled mattress covers, dirty towels, and a shower covered in mildew, mold, and hair on the walls, further contributing to our disappointment with the overall cleanliness of the rental.
