Best Western Auray Le Loch is a hidden gem in beautiful Auray. We stayed with our large family and were so well treated. Elsa, at the front desk welcomed us and made sure our rooms were terrific. They were sizeable and clean. We had one of the best dinners of our trip at the hotel restaurant. The seafood is particularly good. Breakfast was a delicious and ample spread of pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs, cereals and yogurt. We spent almost an hour enjoying. Parking is free and at the hotel. The hotel itself is situated in a quiet office park with very nice hiking trails. The town of Auray is 5 minutes away and well worth a visit. You will love your stay at the Best Western Auray.

A quiet base for exploring Auray

The hotel was quiet with easy parking. At first we thought it was further from the town centre and the port than expected, but we discovered a short cut which made it about 10 minutes on foot. The room was adequate, although a little small, but well equipped and clean with a comfortable queen bed. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant. The only criticism is that our room was not cleaned after our second night, although we had requested this, and by the time we returned in the afternoon it was inconvenient to askfor the room to be serviced.

Good value stopover.

Good sized room, huge bed. Shower was powerful. Everything very clean. 10-15 minute walk from the port. Breakfast not cheap (15 Euros), but plentiful and included bacon and scrambled egg. Very good value overall.

Nice enough, but didn't sleep well

Friendly hotel, slightly out of town so pleasant 15 mins walk to restaurants and shops in Auray. We stayed during August's 30+ degrees and rooms are not air conditioned. Even with lower evening temperatures and an open window, we couldn't cool the room to a comfortable temperature which meant disturbed sleep. Would stay again, but not in hot weather!

great short stay

Very pleasant stay for 2 nights. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Nice size hotel, not too big giving it a cosy,homely feel. Restaurant in a lovely setting. Bonus having a sauna in case of terrible weather.

Auary is a very quaint harbour town.Great for an overnight visit. Modern shops at the top of the town & artistic & studio shops on the memorable cobbled hill down to the harbour. Lovely evening & very helpful ,polite staff at the hotel. Good selection at breakfast.

Great place to stay

Spent 3 nights here to explore the surrounding area. Auray itself has a lovely waterside area with bars and restaurants and convenient for visiting Vannes and the Quiberon Peninsula.

Outstanding staff in a pleasant accommodation

We travelled in May and know very limited English. The staff were absolutely outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, competent and efficient. The quality of the dinners was excellent, the presentation beautiful, and the same excellnt staff and service . Our lack of French was not an issue. The staff was happy to explain the menu. The dining room is quite pleasant with lots of windows and views of the woods, and cozy after dark with little lamps on the table and nice ambient lighting. As a bonus, each night there is one fish and one meat entree offered as special of the day at an excellent price. The room was quite comfortable. The sheets were not ultra soft as found in some higher priced hotels, but they were comfortable and in line with the price of the room. The mattresses were new and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and in very good condition with a spacious walk-in shower. We were able to hear activity of the people above us, more so than from the adjoining rooms. Location of the hotel was very convenient for exploring both the town and surrounding area, by car although it's not ideal if you want to walk directly to the old town center. But the town parking was only a couple minutes away by car and straightforward to reach.

Superb value for money!

Fantastic welcome by gentleman at reception (Gaetan?), extremely quiet location within easy walking distance of lovely port and town centre, nicely appointed and clean rooms - really, everything was top notch! All of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Highly recomend this hotel.

Nice clean and comfortable hotel

My stay was just a stop over on travel route, my train arrived late, but hotel reception kept in contact with me. Word of warning, there are no taxis available late at night on a Saturday! Of the 6 numbers listed at the station none we're prepared to pick me up. So I walked the 2km to the hotel with my bags! Thanks to the receptionist and a local couple I found my way to the hotel. The comfortable bed was a welcomed sight! I didn't use any of the facilities but the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful.
