We stayed here on our way to Bar Harbor Maine. It was clean and the staff was nice, the hot breakfast was good. We stayed in a two queen bed room and the beds were very comfortable. They have a pool but we did not use, there were people in the pool and it looked very clean.
We stayed here two months in a row for family events in Maine. The actual room was fine. Comfortable and clean and no issues. The pool was a nice treat - except during the first trip, both our son's feet were "cut" or "shredded" by the pool bottom floor. This has never happened to us *anywhere* before and at first I wasn't sure what had happened and thought my younger had cut his foot. We realized it was all over both boys feet and was due to either just the SUPER roughness of the pool bottom or that and the combination of chemicals being "off".? It was so upsetting to all of us - we left carrying a bleeding child and another who hobbled around for the next couple days - it was pretty ridiculous. We had one more trip scheduled and when we went back, they wore socks and/or water shoes as that seemed the only option - and were fine. The breakfast was not great but still added value - except the woman working it seemed SUPER overwhelmed and very vocal about it on both stays. Friendly, but guests were literally helping her repeatedly to put food out on BOTH our stays. During the first, there was literally NO COFFEE anywhere for a good while. All in all it was super spotty - the facilities were better than the staff. The front desk was actually RUDE on our second stay - acting as if you were lucky they were there and not "Welcoming" at all! If you bring pool shoes, you mostly feel like avoiding staff and using the perfectly fine rooms and pool.
We were traveling and needed a place to stay that was clean, safe and accommodated our schedule of driving all night and then needing sleep. This place was great and the staff was very accommodating. We arrived in in the early hours of the morning, yet the staff was wide awake, helpful and courteous. I would stay here again on our travels. we were a family traveling with 3 young children.
This hotel is ok. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Decor is updated. Pool and breakfast is ok. Staff is attentive. The only drawback is that the place is a little bit out of the way. There isn't much to do around the area. Our gps also had problems mapping to this place so we were instructed to map to the hospital next door - in the next town Farmington. Other than this, everything else is good.
My family stayed in the king suite overnight and the room was very clean and comfortable. We loved having a separate bedroom with a sitting/ kitchen area. The Comfort Inn website says they offer "pay-for-viewing movies". When I called the front desk curious where I could find the selection of movies to purchase, the attendant looked into it, but after no luck she said that she was new and couldn't help. Typically pay per view is pretty self explanatory, but there was no evidence of having the feature in the folder or on the tv options. (False advertising) It was a little disappointing, but it didn't ruin the stay.
Maggie was a great hostess. Any issues we had were resolved. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The hot breakfast was excellent. We definetly would return another time and would recommend it to others.
Very comfortable and quiet. Great Staff. Very nice and exceptionally clean. You can hear the crickets at night. If possible ask for a room on the front side side of the hotel. You will have a have an amazing view of the valley. Breakfast menu is different from day to day which is quite nice if you are staying there for a week. I wish all hotels could be like this one.
Doreen was very accommodating and personable after a long day of riding. The lemon water and iced tea in the lobby were very much appreciated. There were cookies too. The room was very nice. Thank you Doreen!
I have stayed in this Comfort Inn multiple times over the last six years. It is always clean, the cookies are great, and the staff is exceptional! We have stayed in the regular king rooms, as well as the king suites. If you're looking for a larger room with a sitting area, I definitely recommend the suite! The sun comes up very early in Maine during the summer, so if you want a little darker room in the morning, request a room on the back. They are also quieter, from my experience. The indoor pool is nice!
My Husband and I stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites while on Business in Maine. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to the guest needs and they always have smiles on their faces. The continental breakfast was good. They served coffee, tea, iced tea and lemon water free in the lobby all day and night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the Kingfield area.
