I am a member of the Spa, besides its my favourite dining place .... so I can consider myself as a frequent visitor - extremely friendly , homely yet having the luxurious touches that most visitors look and choose the place for - Ample parking and accessible to people with special needs , caters for families with children:young very young and youth. The food is excellent besides the Presidents Garden is a stone throw away .You might be lucky to meet football starts(the likes of Zlatan Ibra) if you are interested in the beautiful game as it hosts loads of pro.
Had a three night stay at this hotel and I have to say on first impressions it was a lovely hotel. Staff very courteous, attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Even little things like remembering your name as you entered and exited the lobby. A grand hotel, but a little like a grand old lady who's beauty was fading. The room could do with being refurbished and as I constantly notice, a lot hotels really need to place plug points near a mirror for the ladies, this was one of them. But perhaps a refurb could be in order? Breakfast lived up to expectations, with the customary good service and an excellent choice of food available. We ate in the Rickshaw restaurant (separate review), but suffice to say was worth the visit. Again excellent service and excellent food. We noticed there was a happy hour later in the evening and as been mentioned previously, perhaps 9pm is a tad late? Personally once I've eaten I don't drink too much and also I think the bar is missing a trick by not drawing in more customers with a pre evening meal drink. The bar would surely take more money as once you've had a drink your quite likely stay for another. Whereas we didn't drink there at all. Not a lot going on in Attard, we visited a nearby restaurant as it would have been an expensive stay to have eaten at the hotel on a regular basis. But the hotel provides a bus service which is helpful and perhaps mindful that there isn't much going on in the area. I feel the hotel is priced slightly on the high side, but it was a lovely hotel and great service. well done all!!
Loved my night and day at this hotel. It is the sweetest smelling hotel I have ever stayed in. Glass of orange juice on arrival. Bags taken to room and nothing too much trouble for the staff. I definitely look forward to going back.
Hi. I stayed at this hotel 4 nights and have very positive opinion about this place. First staff is really outstanding they really care about guest and them needs. Check in was fast and we receive welcome drink than they take our luggage and show the room. Room was very good size and bed was super comfortable. Room has good wifi connection and all you need at 5 star hotel. Bathroom was small but room make up. They really kept old style for me a bit old fashion but that's the place. Room service really good and 24 hours, cleaning very good and professional. Location really quiet not much around around 15 min to closes shop and if you need to see the island hotel provide free bus shuttle to most of the places for free so you have option to move around event location is really quiet. The best of my stay was really professional and superb staff I can they really enjoy them work and proud to work there. Breakfast was standard and have all you need and again service very good they fill up your coffee all the time and even remember I like soya milk all this little things make my stay really pleasurable and I would recommend stay there.
We have just returned from a 3 night break at this hotel. The hotel foyer is really nice and welcoming and the staff, (all of them) are polite, and very helpful. Check in was quick and our room was located on the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and clean, however I think the room is in need of refurbishment, they are a bit dated, with a metal door leading to the balcony which did not close properly with the lock but had a little clip to make it secure. The shower ran hot and then cold . Just small things but you expect these things to be ok for a 5 star hotel. The steam room in the leisure club was not working, it had a hose pipe in and was cold. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and again the staff were nice. We ate one night in the Asian restaurant which I would rate as 5 star the food, the ambiance and the staff were top notch. The bar which opens at 5.30pm was quiet whenever we went in, they have a happy hour from 9.pm on wards, I think it would be better if that was changed to say 6pm until 7 or 8 , there were conferences on and this would attract people to the bar and also people who wanted a drink before eating, it is not cheap and I feel sure this would attract more people early evening. There is nothing near this hotel, so it is very quiet, no shops or bars, but plenty of buses to nearby villages, and the hotel runs a shuttle service to various locations. A nice hotel, albeit rather expensive, and I would stay here again.
We are here this week and the place is beautifully maintained with great facilities and if our room is like all of them they are lovely room with amazing beds! A great place to relax and refresh. A bit out of the way but three restaurants to dine in and the Caprice Bar is great for chilling. The staff are lovely and SO helpful. We will be back without a doubt.
My wife and I visited Malta for four nights and stayed in this wonderful hotel. The staff were all absolutely outstanding and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bedrooms were sumptuous with lots of room and huge comfortable beds leading out on to a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. The spa was very relaxing from the pool to the sauna which helped to reduce the effect of the extensive breakfasts! A stay that we will repeat with no hesitation. Thank you to everyone at the Corinthia Palace.
Very luxury vacation with superb service by all means. A real five star hotel - food, roomfacilities, spa and dining. Breakfast was excellent. We were given all attention egen it comes to service. Very nice poolarea. Surroundings very nice and public transport convenient nearby hotel to most destinations of interest.
lovely hotel staff are brilliant no problem too small only 1 fault is the villa corinthia restaurant the food is good but there is more on theatre which makes this not a 5star restaurant the rickshaw is a much better restaurant
We stayed at this hotel from 14th March 2017 for 4 nights. On arrival we were greeted with chilled orange juice and a welcoming concierge. Our luggage was whipped away to our room (which we were allowed into 4 hours early) and we checked in. ROOM: We were given a garden view room as promised and this got lovely morning sun. Our room was spacious - a super king [perhaps larger!] bed, plenty of hanging space, a well priced mini bar, vanity unit with massive mirror, British plug sockets, a large glass patio door [lockable from up high, would be perfect for families], a bath with integrated shower [which had a power shower as well as a rainfall one] and plenty of free shampoo/conditioner etc. FACILITIES: The hotel has an attached Spa - this consists of a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, outside garden area and a lounge area inside with plenty of sun loungers - it is very tranquil and on arrival you are provided a robe, slippers and towels. We had a couples massage whilst there (1 hour massage followed by a thermal bath - highly recommended!). EATING/DRINKING: There are various restaurants on site - we only had breakfast. We were given a table on day 1 and placed there each following day. The coffee was poured and ready for us as soon as we walked in and topped up 4 or 5 times throughout breakfast. For breakfast, there was: pancakes, pastries, full English, fruit, yoghurt, granola, cereal, breads - several fruit juices, water and a coffee machine should the instant not be to your taste. It really does cater for everyone. We had a cocktail in the Caprice lounge - this place was lovely, cocktails are made with everything fresh - no premixed juices! Free nibbles were lovely too. We ate in other places, namely Melita which is only minutes from the hotel (out the vehicle entrance, turn right and it is just past the little ice cream hut) and Zmerc pub (same direction but continue down the road a little, its on the right). Look for them on trip advisor, you'll find my reviews there. LOCATION: The hotel is located in San Anton next to the palace and the gardens. It is very central in the Island - fifteen minutes away from St Julians, Mdina, Valetta & Sliema. The hotel provides a bus service to each of these locations (excluding Mdina, this is accessed via the 50, 51, 52 or 53 busses on the main road [right out the pedestrian only entrance, top of street on the same side as the Citroen garage]). This has to be booked in advance for both going and coming back but runs at good times. Recommend going to each of the places listed, they all have their own charm. SPECIAL MENTION: Martin, the concierge, is just such a lovely person. He took us to our room and allowed us to rest before spending 20 minutes giving us maps of the island and recommending how to fill our days. There is not a part of this Island he is not familiar with - spend 10 minutes with him and you'll agree! OVERALL: This is a 5 star hotel and the service/prices reflect this. The hotel could do with a little modernisation but its not overly noticeable and the people more than make up for it. I am unsure of the tipping / tips protocol on Malta however we tipped Martin at the end of our stay as he was more than worth it - in this sense it seemed a bit 'Americanised' which isn't a bad thing. (Side note: booked through Voyage Prive - first time using this company but I would certainly book through them again)
