Located in Ocean City, on the peaceful south end, this quiet 2nd floor at 54th & Simpson is conveniently located four blocks from the beach, two blocks from the 53rd street playground, basketball and hockey rink, four blocks to Ala Mode ice cream, Mallon’s sticky buns and other 55th street food options, two blocks from the Boardwalk Jitney stop, less than a mile from Corson’s Inlet State Park and just over the bridge from Strathmere restaurants.

A large south-facing 2nd floor deck is perfect for enjoying sunrise coffee or sunset refreshments. Both bedrooms have their own air conditioner and fan. The well-stocked efficiency kitchen/living area includes fridge, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, air conditioner, 40in Roku TV and wifi. There is a brand-new enclosed outdoor shower (shared with 1st floor) for after-beach rinse and covered storage area for stowing beach gear beneath the steps. NOTE: This is a 2nd floor property accessed by an outdoor staircase. See pix.

There is plenty of on-street parking.

First and Second floor can be rented together if both are free for larger family/group stays. (1st floor is a 2+1.5 with dining/den and enclosed porch - 1 queen, 1 double, 2 twins - with it's own entrance.)

NOTES: As is typical of Jersey Shore beach rentals we do not provide linens or towels. Renters bring their own.
Ocean City beaches require beach tags, which can purchased on the beach.
For those unfamiliar with Ocean City, New Jersey it is a "dry" island - alcohol can be brought on and consumed, but is not sold in stores or restaurants on the island. As a result Ocean City tends to be family oriented and very quiet at night. Strathmere, just over the 55th street bridge has "full service" restaurants, just minutes away. Atlantic City is 25 miles, about a 30 minute drive, north. The south end is the quietest end - the boardwalk is on the north end, and accessible by Jitney or car. Corson's State Park is great place to walk, birdwatch, fish or launch a boat or canoe/kayak.
The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. The cottage also includes a coffee maker.

Had a wonderful week staying here! Upstairs is the perfect size for a small group. The south end of OC is such a peaceful place. Wish the house had more mirrors and a washer/dryer. Would definitely return!

Very small but quiet neighborhood

The place was even smaller than anticipated, especially the bathroom. The air conditioners were very loud and the outlets/ light switches were confusing as to which ones worked together. The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. The beach is beautiful and the owner was very kind and responsive.

Cozy cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was clean and had all the basics we needed for our stay. Just a short walk to the beach and at the south end of town which was quiet and had lots of parking.
