Super clean and fresh throughout. Motel is quite new looking with interior hallways and elevator. Room was huge and well appointed. Complimentary breakfast was very basic with no eggs or meat. Got a great rate on King Size with a couch, work area and wet bar via Booking.com.
I spend some time here over the weekend for a very short visit. However they had had a flood some days prior to my arrival. The room that had requested was unavailable. However Miss Roxy worked her magic to accommodated and she also put me in a better room. I appreciate all her hospitality to meet my neededs possible. The room was clean and decent and sleepable. However I always do take my Lysol whenever I am sleeping somewhere else other than home.
There were 6 of us who were supposed to be in Jamaica however our connecting flight was cancelled due to after effects of Hurricane Irma. With all of the other displaced individuals from Florida, this was the only hotel we could find. There was no issue with check in and the lady at the desk seemed empathetic to our circumstance. It was the owner of the hotel later on that evening upon finding out there were 6 of us in this room who instructed his desk clerk to tell us that 2 of us had to leave the room and told us we had to reserve another room. He r fused to allow us extra pillows, blankets, etc. I really believe he wanted us to be uncomfortable so we would buy another room. I am a general Manager for a major branded hotel, and I understand things like maximum occupancy, fire code, etc. However, with all of the displaced and transplanted people as a result of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, we have all bee instructed to be as flexible and accommodate my as possible. The fact that this owner would use our circumstances to try and gain more revenue is disgusting and deplorable. I have half a mind to report to the BBB and local news outlets.
The room experience was ok. It was fairly clean and the bed was alright. It had a fridge with a freezer so we were able to freeze our freezer pack for travel the next day. Breakfast was kind of pitiful with very little selection. There is construction on the road, so be prepared for traffic.
We came here to stay after a concert. When we checked in you could tell the person at the desk really wanted to leave because her shift was over, she acted almost like we were inconveniencing her. We got to our room and it was a smoking room, so I went back to the desk. Again the employee acted like we were inconveniencing her, but I reserved a non-smoking room and politely asked to be moved. They did it, then she said, "we will take care of that later," out loud. I asked what she meant by that and she just gave me the weirdest rudest stare and said she was not talking to me. Got to the new room, smelled nice, was fairly clean and very large. There was a couch, flat screen TV and a king sized bed. The "comforter" blanket was not really a blanket at all and the thin blanket was not very thick, so if you get cold you will want to ask for another. It was a fairly quiet night, and the we had no problems from then on out. The only other thing about this hotel was that they stated that they were environmentally friendly and recycled, but the "dishes" for breakfast foods were Styrofoam plates/bowls and plastic disposable utensils. They were not recycling these items and the only recycling they had was at the front door for bottles. The food was very limited and not very good at all. There was a vending machine that had a few organic options in it for the traveler who didn't want to go out for dinner. This was a very average hotel with very average staff and sub-average breakfast food.
We opted to stay at this hotel for a portion of our time on vacation. Staying with family & friends has its own pros & cons, so we added a day to our scheduled hotel stay and we were both pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a simple room with fridge & microwave, the bed was comfortable; we really experienced no issues. The room(especially the bathroom) could use an upgrade, but the staff was so pleasant that any simple issue was immediately addressed! We enjoyed every minute of our stay!!
The room overall was a surprise. A bit "used", but a lot like staying at your aunt and uncle's place. Very comfortable, with a refrigerator and microwave and decent television. For being just outside of Atlanta, the price was good. Easy to find, with a great restaurant, The Marietta Diner, about a mile away.
This hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. Thankfully, our room did not. The bedspread was stained. The couch in the room was falling apart and stained. We pulled it out for our son to sleep on, and there was a huge hole in it that looked like a mouse had chewed. We left early to get on the road and didn't try the breakfast.
This is the first time I have stayed in a room with a handicapped accessible shower. Fresh paint. Nicely furnished room. Large flat screen tv. Microwave and refrigerator. Close to Atlanta. This is a Comfort Inn room at a Econolodge price.
So to be honest, we booked here by accident. My husband and I miscommunicated and after our job, we pulled in the parking lot after 11p.m. that night and I think we were both a little skeptical. We tend to stay at the value-rate hotels anyway but the reviews we'd read about this one were difficult to discern. I can see why. It's a little rough around the edges however you can clearly see that the management is striving to update and keep things looking spiffy. Our room (103) was very clean even if there was some wear and tear/damage from previous occupants. We requested non-smoking and that's what we had. There was a mini-fridge and microwave and a little table and 2 chairs. Some may argue that they should charge less for a room of this caliber but if management continues to keep the updating and repair work going on, this can remain a facility that ranks at the very least in the 'decent' range of places to stay. SUPER FRIENDLY Staff.
