The Prince of Wales is a short walk to some wonderful pubs and a castle with some stories. Great to be in town!

Location location location. Awesome stay in the midlands.

Almost everything was great except one big amenity for me. Wi-Fi Internet. Did not function due to equipment issue.

Booming nightclub until 3AM. Drunk pounding on door to next room with shoe yelling at 3:30AM. Complained to the desk. Slept in until noon. Called the desk a short time later for room change but got ear plugs instead. No WiFi on our floor.

Bed very uncomfortable Room right by elevator so constantly loud chatter No a/c had to keep window open but was above the club area so had to close window to sleep due to the noise. Shower wall had substantial mold.

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night. Our first time in athlone. Athlone is a nice place to visit and we will come back. The hotel is lovely and we had a really nice dinner in the bar. The bar staff are very friendly. We had asked for a quite room. Unfortunately we had a hen party staying on the same floor. They continued to go in and out of rooms, banging doors, shouting and laughing until 4am. I know it is limited as to what a night Porter can do about this. Maybe hens and stags should be put on the lowest floor possible away from other guests because there will always be selfish people. It won't put us off coming back. I know this can happen in any hotel.

Overall it was a great experience. Had some loud drunks coming down the hall in the middle of the night but not the hotel's fault.
