Nature cottage in Suisse Normande

Old, totally independent press of 90 m2 located in a 7-hectare property, shared by the owners, a relaxing place surrounded by nature.

Away without being isolated, you will be surrounded by meadows and woods, with 3 streams, a pond and lots of animals (donkeys, horses, ponies, chickens, ducks...).

Ideally located to discover the Suisse Normande, renowned for its hikes, Clécy, Pont D'ouilly and Roche d'Oëtre are nearby and the sea 1 hour away.

The totally independent cottage is located at the end of a path in the middle of nature, a hundred meters from the owners' house.

It was completely refurbished in 2022 and designed to be a real place of rest and disconnection, a place where you can really settle down, lulled by the song of the water and the birds.

The cottage consists of:

* on the ground floor: a large bright living room with fully fitted and equipped kitchen area (large fridge with freezer, induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, etc.) and living room with lounge (library provided, screen/DVD, fireplace with wood-burning stove).

The set gives outside by a large bay window on a large terrace.

* upstairs: 3 comfortable and cozy bedrooms each with a 140 x 200 double bed, quality bedding, a chair and storage.

For more comfort and real privacy, each room has its own shower room and separate toilet. Each has a hair dryer.

* The cottage has a large private garden, with a large terrace of 35 m2 furnished with garden furniture, parasol, barbecue, sun loungers...

You can hear a small stream passing just under the terrace and feeding the pond located right next to the cottage where chickens and ducks roam.

* Private parking (unguarded)

Most :

* everything is included in the price: bed linen, towels, water, electricity, heating and wood for the stove (depending on the season),

Given the price increase and for the sake of eco-responsibility, our residents are asked to have a reasoned use of energy.

* all beds are made on arrival, towels available in the shower rooms,

* to get your stay off to a good start, a grocery store is provided (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, etc.), as well as toilet paper, household products and hand soap.

NB: given the rivers surrounding the cottage, the place is not suitable for young children
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Other standard amenities include a fireplace and a coffee maker. Housekeeping is available on request.

Fabulous Gite

What a lovely place to stay on holiday, unwind and de-stress. A newly converted character barn fully equipped with a modern kitchen, three bathrooms and down stairs toilet. The gite is set in a beautiful area, very secluded with nature and views. Many animals such as ducks, horses, a donkey, owls, bats at dusk and great star gazing opportunities. No light pollution or traffic noise, the only noise being the wind in the many surrounding trees or the gentle flow of water from the nearby streams. The outside decking with table and chairs allows outside dining overlooking the duck pond. There is plenty of land to arrange your sun lounger or bean bag to maximise enjoyment of being outside amongst the the flora and fauna. We had a fabulous 11 night stay and our hosts Stephane and Karine where most helpful with advice on where to visit. We enjoyed the Normandy Luge and zip wire, 5km canoeing experience in the nearby river, 13km cycling on the velorail nearby, and swimming and pedalo boat hire in the lake - half an hour drive away. To sum up - we loved it.

Hébergement bien situé pour notre séjour en Suisse normande qui fut fort agréable. Logement refait à neuf et avec goût dans cet ancien pressoir. Calme, fraîcheur et nature. Nos hôtes, accueillants et disponibles, nous ont gentiment depannés suite à un problème de voiture. Nous recommandons ce logement.
