Beautifully restored manor house, very spacious with lovely large bedrooms and different areas to relax in and play games. Pool area is stunning, with every consideration made to ensure safety for children. Sandrine and Yves are wonderful hosts. Thank you and we hope to return in the future!

Charming manor in Normandy

We enjoyed our stay at Domaine de la Blanchère in the heart of the Normandy region. Sandrine and Yves were very accommodating and helpful, and their place is a perfect, welcoming landing spot to explore this wonderful area of France.

Gorgeous property

This is an absolutely beautiful property. The house itself is fantastic. The grounds are lovely. The indoor pool is fabulous. The surprise benefit was a kitchen garden we were told to help ourselves to. Fresh lettuces, courgettes, peas, cherries, strawberries. So wonderful. Yves and Sandrine are wonderful and accommodating hosts. We could quite happily have moved in. No qualms recommending this house.

Incredible spot - we will be back!

Yves and Sandrine are wonderful hosts and have an absolutely stunning property. The house was perfect for our family of five and we enjoyed every minute of our time at this property. The kitchen is large and contains everything we needed to make and enjoy family meals. Our hosts even shared fresh items from their garden with us, along with some fabulous jam. All the rooms are spacious and very clean. The kids enjoyed the pool and the playground while the adults enjoyed the beautiful architecture and ambiance. The nearby town is quaint and boasts some lovely shops. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend a visit to this property!

More than Spectacular

There is so much to see in Normandy that you’ll struggle to prioritize what to see. La Blanchere is so beautiful that you’ll want to plan at least one day, if not more, to just stay home and enjoy the property. Yves and Sandrine could not have nicer or more helpful! I highly recommend staying here. I’ve stayed in many lovely home rentals. This is my favorite by far. Thank you so much, Yves and Sandrine. And give our best to your beautiful girls.

Extraordinary lodging and base for exploring beautiful « Swiss Normandy »

Sandrine and Yves have created the most comfortable, beautiful, impeccably clean, and well-located (14th century!) lodging imaginable. Three couples each had private, spacious and luxurious rooms. We thought 4 days would be enough to savor the beauty of this part of Normandy south of Caen and a bit north of Flers - driving east to the chateau at Falaise (with its great use of technology to bring the castle’s history alive) and to the Camembert museum with tasting, north to the Roman ruins/museum at Vieux la Romaine, the quaint WWII Blackwater Museum at Berjou (where Germans were trapped in the « Falaise Pocket »), Pere Magloire Calvados Experience and Chateau de Crèvecœur and west to Mont Saint Michel. But we could easily have stayed longer. We loved the Thursday outdoor market at Conde-en-Normandie and preparing our meals in the manor’s wonderful kitchen, playing the piano in one of the sitting areas, reading around the cozy pellet stove in another sitting area, catching glimpses of the manor’s sheep and chickens, chatting with the very personable, hard-working and helpful hosts (and meeting their beautiful Australian shepherds). We would love to return - to relax in their gorgeous heated pool, spend more time just hanging out on the property, and drive around the pear orchards to the south, visit the Livarot cheese museum, visit the printing museum, and much more. We highly recommend the very special Domaine de la Blanchere. There is so much to see and do in this area!

Auszeit in einem wunderschönen Haus in der Normandie

Vielen Dank an unsere wunderbaren Gastgeber Sandrine und Yves! Sie haben uns in dem Gästehaus zu Hause fühlen lassen und uns mit Tips und Hilfe versorgt. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet - uns hat es in der Küche und für Freizeitgestaltung an nichts gefehlt. Auch Brettspiele waren modern vorhanden. Toller Pool mit guter Organisation. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen hoffentlich wieder.

Außergewöhnlich und wunderschön

Wir waren begeistert! Eine außergewöhnliche, großzügige und dabei heimelig und liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft, dazu zwei aufgeschlossene und durch und durch herzliche Gastgeber, Sandrine und Yves! Dazu ein Gemüsegarten, an dem man sich bedienen kann, schöner Grillplatz, toller Pool, viel sehenswerte Natur ringsherum. Wenn es in der Normandie nicht so viel zu entdecken gäbe, könnte man auch einfach den ganzen Tag dort im und am Haus entspannen. Magnificent, rural farm stay

This is a lovely farm property with a huge guest house and room to spare for our six person family. If you’re used to cramped hotels in Paris, this will amaze you. It’s an hour from Normandy beaches and 1.5 from Mont Saint-Michel, mostly driving through beautiful, quiet, tiny towns on lazy, forested back roads. Car access is mandatory, and welcome: our most enjoyable day was just wandering the nearby villages and towns looking for cafes, patisseries, parks, and the ruins of the Domfort chateau. Clothes washer is on site, but no dryer. Hang dry only. Parts of the compound date to the 13th century, but it’s loaded with modern comforts including a swimming pool. 5/5, can recommend!!!

Beautiful cottage full of history

The cottage was absolutely stunning, full of character. It had everything we needed inside and it was lovely to also have so much space outside we could use. My son absolutely loved being able to use the indoor pool everyday. The patisserie in Athis did some amazing cakes and tarts.

Nous avons passé un excellent sejour dans ce havre de paix ,une vraie remontée dans le temps magnifiquement rénovée.Nous avons pu déconnecter de notre rythme effréné de Paris.La litterie est très confortable et le plus est la piscine chauffée.

Tout simplement magnifique !

Un lieu exceptionnel ! Le cadre a dépassé nos attentes. La maison est grandiose, très soignée, décorée avec goût ! La piscine est un énorme plus, car (soleil ou pluie) vous pouvez en profiter pleinement ! Les propriétaires sont arrangeants, discrets et à l'écoute. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et reviendrons sans faute !

Un séjour dans un cadre magnifique et confortable

Nous avons passé 3 jours dans le Manoir de la Blanchère. Ce fût un séjour reposant dans un cadre confortable (chauffage au sol ) et d'une très belle qualité architecturale. Le Manoir est aménagé et décoré avec goût et très bien équipée. Etant 2 couples avec chacun 2 enfants, nous avons pu profité chacun d'espaces dédiés ( chambres, salles de bain et salons) sans nous déranger et nous retrouver dans la grande salle commune parfaitement chauffée. Les espaces extérieures et la piscine chauffée et couverte sont parfaitement adaptés pour les enfants. Merci encore Alain pour votre accueil.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette très belle demeure ! Le cadre est magnifique, comme la piscine. Les enfants ont adoré courir derrière les chats (eux sûrement moins). Merci beaucoup à Alain pour son accueil.

Merveilleuse vacance, lieu et propriétaire incroyable !

Nous avons passé des vacances exceptionnelles! Un lieu familial et reposant. Les propriétaires étaient merveilleux et nous les oublierons pas. La maison est belle, spacieuse et propre. Les enfants ce sont éclatés entre la piscine et l’énorme espace externe. Rien à redire ! notre séjour fût parfait et nous reviendrons ...
