Dec 2020
My family of 13 reserved this property on the premise that it was supposed to be a "ski in, ski out" property. About one to two weeks before we arrived, I got a message saying the owners were trying to get the ski area completed. It was not completed by the time of our stay which was a big bummer and huge inconvenience b/c the closest area to ski is at least an hour away. We knew the house was remote, and that the nearest small town was about 10 miles away (to get groceries, etc.), but that wasn't a concern since the house had a theater, gaming room, zip line, air hockey table, hot tub, and ski area.
We could never get the gaming room to work (even though it had 7 Xboxes). We had six teenagers who were looking forward to gaming together. After DVDs were delivered to us by someone at the property, we were able to use the theater room.
Here are the pros of our trip/house/location:
- house is incredible; fully stocked with plenty of towels, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, soap, toilet paper, etc. It had two types of coffee makers (pod and old fashioned filter). There was an outside griddle/hibachi and a gas grill. There are two refrigerators, two washers, two dryers, plenty of blankets, pillows, etc.
- view is beautiful especially on a clear day when you can see the Tetons
- private and remote
- relaxing atmosphere
- lots of card games, board games, and books provided by the owner
Cons:
- DO NOT arrive in winter without a 4x4. We coudn't get two of our vehicles up the driveway. We had to use the only 4x4 that we had as a shuttle back and forth to the end of the driveway. (This was our fault, not the owner's.)
- This house is far away from most winter activities. We hear it's a great location in the spring/summer for fishing, but it's far away from all ski locations. It was at least an hour drive to the nearest one.
- Make sure you ask if the ski area at the house is complete before you arrive. Also make sure the virtual room is complete. Make sure the gaming room (xboxes) are working.
- One bunk room's window was leaking and the dripping noise it made forced everyone in that room to sleep in another room

We knew it was a new house and there would be minor issues like the window dripping, but most of us who were responsible for paying for this house felt like we were gipped on some of the amenities it was supposed to have by the time we arrived.
