Rustic, and unique studio cabin in a tree covered property along the Tenas Creek. Less than a mile to the only entrance that's open year-round of Mt Rainier NP. Park entry lines in the summer can get long, and your location gets you closer to the front. Spend your days exploring all that Rainier has to offer. Evenings can be enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit and cooking on the grill. A second cabin is located on the property and can be rented, if available, and more space is needed.

The cabin is less than a mile to the entry gate of Mt Rainier.

Ashford is a rural and remote community. The power grid and wi-fi can be affected by stormy weather conditions (especially in the winter). If the power and Wi-Fi go down, we encourage everyone to enjoy the disconnect time with family and friends and take advantage of the slow down. We have a wood burning fireplace for heat, and candles to play board games with.

Ashford can be snowy and icy at times and chains are required in your car when driving to paradise in the winter. Check with the National Park for conditions in the winter.
The cabin is heated and features a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a fireplace, a microwave, and a refrigerator.

It was a cozy place and we felt pretty good about it. The only problem was that the heater couldn't warm it up. We had to use the wood stove and the wood burned really fast so it was not real comfortable from a temperature standpoint. I have told the owners this. Overall, it was a great place and we enjoyed our stay near Mt Rainier. Art McEntire

The cabin was immaculate, very clean and very thoutfully equipped and designed decoratively! We had a great time and enjoyed using the available firewood to cook all of our dinners and the journal entries of past vacationers was a joy to read and add our own experience to.

There was a smell when we first walked into the unit. We opened some windows and contracted the owners and they were responsive, but could not figure out what it could be. We set up a fan and it resolved itself within about a half hour. Close to the Park. 1 mile. It is small as stated in their description. The coffee pot needed to be washed before use.Bathroom was ok.

Know what you are booking…

We knew it was a tiny house and that was okay. Listing only said toaster and maybe microwave. The town there had NOTHING open after 8 which is inconvenient after leaving the park. There was a grocery store. We were thinking we could roast brats over fire pit for dinner. The place was very hot inside with a loud box fan. There was a fireplace that no one was using due to heat. There was promised wood we would have used for fire pit but no lighter or matches. Fortunately there was a toaster oven and a double hot plate which would have been great to know. The bathroom door was right by bed and person far side of bed had to climb out bottom or over other person to get to bathroom. Other kitchen supplies were great! Sitting outside with twinkle lights was nice! WiFi was fine and all the games were a nice touch! Room eventually cooled off with open window! Location to park was a huge selling point! Please make sure you make a copy of access and directions prior to arriving as there is not service in the town near it!

We loved the cozy little Fir Cabin. It was like harry potter magic...looks so small out front, yet more space on the inside! Perfect location very close to Mt. Ranier entrance and a short drive to Basecamp. We'd love to be out there in winter sometime.

A lovely stay very conveniently located immediately next to the Paradise entrance of Mount Rainier. A very bare bones cabin, not a plush stay but great for us as a launching point before our backpacking trip in Rainier. The fire pit was cute and the host was responsive to our questions. Would stay here again if exploring more of Mount Rainier!
