Evergreen Cabin is a charming and clean getaway in a beautiful, serene location near Weaverville. The property was well-maintained, and the amenities provided were more than adequate, including thoughtful supplies for our dog, which we appreciated.
However, I was disappointed with several significant issues that impacted our stay. Upon arrival on a sub-freezing day, the cabin was only 62°F. It took many hours to heat the space to a comfortable temperature, which was inconvenient after a long trip. Similarly, the hot tub was also cold when we arrived and took overnight to reach a usable temperature, which defeated its purpose as a relaxing amenity for the first night of our stay.
Additionally, the appliances in the cabin were very noisy, particularly the refrigerator and HVAC system, which repeatedly interrupted our sleep throughout the night. This was an unexpected frustration, as a peaceful, restful environment is a major reason for choosing a cabin retreat.
Another issue was the misleading information regarding the Level 2 EV charger. The charger is not located at the cabin itself, and using it incurs an additional charge, which I found to be quite high. This detail should have been made clear upfront, as it was an unexpected inconvenience.
