Broad River Inn is walking distance to several restaurants, shops, a brewery and winery. Lovely room and delicious made to order breakfast brought to our room in the morning!

My room was listed as river view but that was misleading. I could see the river if I stood at the far corner of the porch. Mostly I saw the mini golf next door and the Main Street. The air conditioner heat exchanger was on the porch so that was basically all I heard on the porch. Room was clean and breakfast was really good. If you stay here, be sure room porch overlooks the river. Otherwise all you will hear are cars passing below.

Great location! Walking distance to great little town! Great Experience!!

Lovely little hidden gem between “the rock” and “the lake” right on the Broad River! Loved it

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Broad River Inn for an anniversary trip and we loved it! The inn was very charming and the Rocky Broad River is situated right behind the inn. We had a spectacular view of Chimney Rock from the back porch of the inn. We had a private balcony and jacuzzi tub. The staff put rose petals on the bed and had a bottle of wine in the room in honor of our anniversary! I would definitely stay there again!

If you are staying in Chimney Rock, make every effort to book a room at the Broad River Inn. My wife and I drove to Asheville from Greensboro to see the Chihuly art exhibit at Biltmore last weekend. It was a quick trip and we decided to stay at Chimney Rock in instead of Ashville before returning on Sunday. Broad River Inn is right in the middle of the main drag. Restaurants, Shops and Breweries are all within walking distance. However, head out early for dinner as just about everything closes early here. The staff and owners of the Broad river are so nice and accommodating, I wish that we could have stayed longer. The room and dwelling are as described in the ad with nice attention to detail. It is in the classic "B&B / Inn style" with nothing being to over the top.. Except the Breakfast. It was truly exceptional. If one was to price it a tourist town rate, it would have easily been a $30 ticket for my wife and I. This, and other amenities provided by the owners made our experience one of true value as well. So in closing, this place is a great fine! Great location, wonderful rooms, fantastic food and the Staff.. Absolutely the best.. The Smiths Brown Summit, NC.

Great little hideaway in a quaint little town. Fairly close to Ashville -- about 30-40 minute drive. The route that Google Maps took us there was on a crazy windy road, so unless you're on a motorcycle, you may not enjoy the drive. However there are some alternate routes available. Nice hiking around the area.

This is an older building so if you want modern, don't go here. If you want warm and homey, this is the place for you. It is quiet with great views of the mountains and the river. The location is excellent for Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and The Biltmore. There are several shops and restaurants within walking distance. Just be sure you note when everything closes. Since the school year has started, everything closed around 6. We would definately stay there again.

The facility was located on the Main Street where you could walk to any of the stores, restaurants or the even the State Park. It was minutes away from Lake Lure were a couple of iconic "Dirty Dancing" movie scenes were filmed unfortunately almost of the cabins used in the movie were burned down by an arsonist and 20 minutes from a larger city with places to eat and shop. The boat tour of the lake was well worth the cost as you are briefly told about the history of the lake and the surrounding area. As for our hotel the Fibber McGee, it was a wonderful place to stay as our room was nice, comfortable and well maintained. The owners and their staff made us feel valued as they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. When we return to the area we will make every effort to stay with them again. They do have some restrictions regarding children so this local is " special " to those of us wishing for " a short "hiatus" from the kiddies.

the staff, place, town and surrounding areas were off the charts wonderful

Lee: I'm sorry you weren't satisfied with your stay. Room # 4 is our least expensive room because of those facts. For those wanting the best river view they would need to reserve Room 2 & 3 which are the Suites with decks overlooking the river.
