Rude and dismissive staff. We booked three rooms for three nights but when we arrived we found it unsatisfactory. Among other things, our non-smoking rooms had cigarette smells, probably due to poor ventilation in the building. We asked the hotel if we could just stay one night and get a refund for the other two nights and the counter staff just said no. Just one word, no. The manager came out and said we could leave tomorrow if we wanted but we can't get our money back. There was zero attempt at service recovery. None of them bothered to ask what we found lacking and if there was anything they could do to make it better. I have stayed in multiple other Japanese business hotels but none with staff as rude as Court Hotel. Bad service, tired rooms, poor ventilation, and weak aircon – do yourself a favour and just stay somewhere else.

This property is close to the train station and bus station. The room was clean, but a little dated. We paid at the hotel for the breakfast buffet and it was very reasonable with the variety they had. There was soup curry and regular curry, miso and corn soup, various Japanese and western dishes.

The view of Asahikawa from the 8th floor was stunning. The room had a high ceiling, which made the space seem even larger than it was. The property itself was very clean and inviting, the staff were very friendly, and it was within walking distance from the Asahikawa train station, a handful of convenience stores (including the excellent Seicomart), and several ramen restaurants that ended up selling out twice during my 3 night stay. Asahikawa is a gorgeous city during the winter, and very walkable, and I can absolutely see myself staying at the Court Hotel here again the next time I visit the area.

The property was in a good location. The duplex room was large. It was disappointing that the hotel did not provide hand soap even after we requested (we were told the hotel does not provide handsoap as policy). We saw there was a small electric stove in the photos of the duplex room but no cooking equipment was provided.

The rooms are quite outdated but it was still a comfortable room. The size of the twin beds are bigger than normal which is a welcome change to other hotels. Location is fantastic. Right at JR station and the big Aeon mall. The shopping street is just one street away and there are many restaurants and shops nearby Staff is friendly although they are unable to speak English well....Overall, a good value.
