Our stay at L'ea Bianca was the highlight of our trip and perfect for a relaxing couples break. It is perfectly positioned on the Smeralda coast on a quiet cove surrounded by rocky hills. The hotel is incredibly calming and quiet. All rooms are sea-facing which a big plus even compared to other pricey 5 star hotels, and all have views of the beautiful green lawns and gardens and the tranquil swimming pool. The rooms are large and spacious and feels like it strikes the right balance of minimal style but with some characterful elements. The deluxe rooms also have a spa-bath in the bathroom. Breakfast is good quality and the view sitting on the patio overlooking the gardens and sea is ideal. As well as the hotel's main restaurant, there is also a bar which serves snacks and a beach club bar and restaurant - both are very quiet and peaceful, my only criticism would be that the prices seem incredibly high and we would have bought more drinks at the hotel if it was a bit cheaper. The beach is quiet with a private area for hotel guests and they brought guests slices of watermelon which was a nice touch. Overall this is amazing place to stay for a luxury tranquil break ideal for couples, highly recommended.
We stayed here for 3 nights after spending 3 nights at 5* hotel in the south of Sardinia so we had something to compare the hotel with. The setting is pretty and the hotel is nicely situated on a well - kept property with a lovely garden. The beach is very nearby but it is gravel, not soft sand and very stony so swimming in the sea was not nearly as pleasant as you thought it would be. The room was a good size, with the pretty view but it was entirely without charm or character. There was not a picture on the walls and the furniture was that of an office or waiting room. Entirely bland and without personality. The bathroom was very nice with a double shower - however as one of the showers did not work there was no point to having two showers. The bar area was very strange in its decor - metallic colored vases, some cushions on the floor , huge red planters and shiny black benches. So unattractive but paling in comparison to the pink and occasional green lights that lit up the interior passages and the gardens at night. Truly garish. The breakfasts were good as was the one dinner we ate at the hotel. The service was generally good but the waiters tended to speak loudly to each other and we did hear shouting from the kitchen. The newly opened beach bar next door served an uninspiring meal amid what seemed to be a confusing and slightly chaotic opening night. There was really nothing special about our stay at L’ea Bianca. We expected more from both the rating and the reviews on the website.
We stayed at L'ea Bianca for 7 nights. We had two rooms and traveled with friends. The service was excellent. The staff are amazing. We had the half-board option and the food was very good (the servers really excellent). The rooms were very nice, overlooking the pool and sea. Housekeeping was great. The hotel is a little secluded but the front desk is very helpful in arranging taxis. They also arranged our catamaran tour (our favourite part of the trip). The property is very quiet. The pool area is very lovely and the beach is nice (pebbly). Really loved it here .
Real beauty. Right size, quite, not many tourists around. Staff extremely pleasant, helpful in every situation. Quite beach, half empty, right in front of the hotel. Rich breakfast, excellent bar at the pool. All rooms have a see view, spa is not big but has essentials. We spent really nice long weekend, and I would recommend it to everyone who likes not crowded, humble luxury.
My wife and I recently returned from L'ea Bianca. We have traveled throughout mainland Italy but this was our first trip to Sardinia. Amazing island that exceeded expectations and not crowded which was great for us. When you travel this far for vacation, you want to be "wowed" - Sardinia and L'ea Bianca delivered. Hotel is exceptionally clean and grounds and pool area are nice and well-maintained. We had a garden room with large outdoor space and direct access to pool and dining area and would highly recommend. Paola, Marco and the rest of the staff were consistently around to ensure guests were having a good stay and to help with any and all requests - excursions, dinner reservations, etc. Breakfast (included w/ our booking) was also excellent. Beach area is on the smaller side and we went offsite (including Maddalena) to visit some of the larger and nicer beaches. Would highly recommend renting a car to explore all the area has to offer. Lastly, would recommend a few dinner spots including Brezza di Mare and Da Nico (both in Cannigone) and Gallura Antica. In short, excellent stay and very well-run hotel, which is something increasingly harder to come by. We will be back.
Our villa "Bouganville" was situated a 300m walk away from the main resort - a sanctuary set amongst stunning gardens - and a great 2-bed 2-bath size ideal for a small family with an eat-in kitchen, living room and 2 outdoor terraces to enjoy your own aperitvos. We did, often... We were impressed from the hotel's arrival foyer, picture window glass revealing the aqua blue of the sea, the pool and alfresco, where we were served an arrival prosecco while our paperwork was completed. Happy so far... Everything continued to impress. Ambient entertainment at the pool bar each night, the staff, English speaking and always helpful, the beautiful dining room and restaurant, the array of choice for breakfast each day, and even the hotel's General Manager who chatted with us one evening and bought us a drink. The private beach is an easy 2-minute walk from the resort grounds, there are a lot of stone steps if you are staying in one of the villas - this was fine by us as we are reasonably fit - but you don't get glorious views and privacy without a sacrifice! Pool heating would have been beneficial but we still swam...opting to sunbake to warm up under the glorious June sun. All in all a wonderful stay, Costa Smeralda is a magical spot with so much to explore. As a couple, we will certainly book here again.
Great points for the hotel, the friendly staff, the beautiful garden and pool area where one can truly relax. The private beach offers lounge chairs with cushions, umbrellas, and towels which is the best way to enjoy the clear water. Negative however is the food offer for breakfast and dinner. Stale or soggy bread in the morning with some fruit, cakes and wet eggs. Juices are not fresh and the same, ham, salami, prosciutto and slices of cheese which you can get at Aldi gets boring after a few days. The most disappointing at the hotel is the dinner. The salad bar is the same cucumbers and tomatoes you get at breakfast. The four course meals are all the same in that they had no flavour, were either undercooked or overcooked and had nothing to do with fine Italian cuisine. When we chose our dessert - Tiramisu over Bavarian cream (really?), we were told they didn't have any Tiramisu as it was out. They desperately need a new Chef. When you think that 80% of Pecorino comes from Sardegna, one would have expected a fantastic cheese buffet. Nothing. If you're looking for a special five star experience, this is not the place to have it despite the great location and friendly staff. TIP - if you want a fantastic lunch with an amazing view, walk over to the Rocco Beach restaurant. Not cheap, but outstanding. If have a late lunch there, you can skip dinner at the hotel.
We had 2 nights at the hotel weather very disappointing to cold to sit by pool but the staff were lovely to keep us happy beautiful hotel great breakfast my only fault apart from the weather was lack of English speaking channels I would like to say how nice the general manager was made a point of asking if she could do any thing to improve our stay
We booked three nights with half board Hereford a last minute getaway. The hotel staff was warm and welcoming. (They also had great recommendations for markets and towns to visit.) We had amazing service. The family two room villa was beautiful. Breakfast had a great selection, however, dinner was what you would get at a 5 star restaurant. The menu was incredible and the service is phenomenal.
We stayed for a week in a villa of 2 rooms with a quiet garden and a beautiful view to the Baia Sardinia. The hotel is surrounded and integrated in the luxurious Sardinian nature. The space is beautifully decorated yet cosy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. One of our teenage sons said at the end of our stay: "It is hard to say goodbye when people are so nice !"
